Hes some sort of music artist. Doesn't look like he's my tastes but his subcount is impressive.

Going through the people PDP follows on Twitter ought to destroy any benefit of the doubt you might have for him. Crypto alt righters like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson aside, which I'm sure certain people would deny being alt right, following a blatant white supremacist like Lauren Southern rings alarm bells. Same with other bigots like Paul Joseph Watson and Ian Miles Cheong. And those are only the most prominent.

I'm starting to doubt most of his "oopsies" are just accidents. He panders to his right-wing audience all the time, just not quite as blatantly.

T-Series is an Indian Corporation that does music videos and trailers.

Hooo boy their’s been a lot of discussion since I took my semi hiatus. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I definitely have a ton of things to say but I need time to structure my thoughts and make sure that I am 100% clear in what I say. In the meantime here’s some channels I reccomend

Zanyvidds: Dunkey esque channel with emphasis on Star Wars Games and Halo

Gamingbrit: Channel that focuses on character action games.

Alexczander: Great anime analysis videos

Uniquenameasauros: Anituber who does videos on lots of things. Recently did a super long and super thorough response to MB’s stance on piracy

Superbutterbuns: Does really great overviews on various games

Cinemawins: Alternative to Cinemasins that focuses on what movies do right

Austinmconnel: Does entertaining video essays on a variety of stuff

Patrick H Willems: Recently he’s made some videos that I’m not really fond of but when he’s on point he’s on point

Tehsnaker: The only thing I’ve seen from this guy is his analysis of HTDF but that was a good first impression in my opinion

Schallifras productions: Good YT Per and video essayist

Cvit: Has great videos on the 4kids Dub of Yugioh, Berserk the CLAN Gviction arc, and Hitman

PSA Sitch: Now with this one I feel obligated to give a warning about. His channel is mainly political with some meme stuff and I can’t guarantee that you’ll agree with him but it’ll help you understand where I’m coming from when I finally get around to putting my thoughts to word. If you decide you want to give him a try I’d reccomend watching his video on dog whistles first.

Because it shows how disconnect between the youtubers and those that run the site has grown. The original appeal of youtube was that it was unfiltered. You could create what you wanted without dealing with the FCC or Executive meddling

Well, here's some channels i'd say need more love:

Toonamp: Does incredibly well-researched videos on cartoons. He finished up a History of Fox Kids recently (going into EVERY show), and he's currently working on a History of Disney TV animation.

Gaming Historian: Even if you're not into games, these videos about the history of various aspects of gaming are incredbly fascinating.

Half the Battle Timmer: ok, this is very niche as it's simply reviews of GI Joe figures, comics, and cartoons, but even if you're just a casual fan his videos are fun.

The Real Jims: Again, kind of niche as it's mainly Simpsons reviews and analysis (though he also has Pixar reviews), but it's still well-done and thoughtful.

I’ve seen thumbnails of historian’s videos pop up but I’ve never really watched him

I like the Internet Historian so i might check his gaming counterpart

Could you be a bit less vague? Some specific examples, mayhap? I've heard pretty much the same elsewhere but it doesn't actually say much. Some context would be super helpful.

I think it's just the It's Popular, Now It Sucks! effect. The way I understand it, they have all these mega-popular You Tube's with huge hatedoms all in one video and make bad jokes about memes and trends from this year that nobody liked. Combine that with just how long this has been going on and it's no surprise people are saying "enough is enough" (whatever that amounts to).

Granted, this is all guesswork. I haven't seen it and I don't plan to.

Youtube needs to stop making Rewind videos. Just... they just need to.

Honestly getting confused about people using nazi, racist and bigot as synonyms on last page. Like, those three are different things :P

Racist is someone prejudiced against people from specific ethnic groups, bigot is narrowminded someone who is devoted to their own group and hostile to people outside of the group and nazis are well I don't think I need to go to detail about people who glorify a group that made genocide in industrial fashion

Are we really splitting hairs like this? Racism is bigotry by definition, nazis are racist by definition, therefore, nazis are bigots. It is at best supreme ignorance to claim otherwise.

Yeah - with PDP's twitter follows in mind, someone needs to drag that into the public eye and make it clear PDP is a fucking Nazi, and that following him is no longer acceptable.

^^^Racist isn't bigot by definition though, because bigot REQUIRES for the bigot in question to have a group they are zealots of. Racist could be anything from person European person who thinks Asians have superior intellect or Black person hating Black people due to learning harmful ideas from racist culture. Racist by definition doesn't require person to be part of a group they defend or even have such group.

Bigot also doesn't actually need to be about ethic group, or even about religion(term is originally about religion in first place), technically it could be even about internet cultures and fanbases. Like, it sounds silly, but person who cyberbullies a rival fandom members could be called a bigot. Political ideas are also something people are commonly bigoted about. So yes, you could be capitalist who is bigoted about communism.

Maybe it is semantics, but reason I brought that up was mostly "Wait a minute, I don't think everyone in that list of nazis were literal nazis" Nazis are all bigots and racists by definition, though not all bigots and racists are nazis, so it gets confusing if you just refer everyone as nazis. Like "Wait, did I miss another scandal were one of those guys advocated neo-nazis or genocide?" type of confusing

But yeah, main reason why I think distinction is important is that while all three are horrible(well, I guess you can forgive racist grandparents and small children as misguided instead of horrible assuming they aren't racist in "We should have killed them all!" way), there is degree of horribleness. Its kinda like difference between accidental homicide, murder and serial killer

Because I'm tired and my brain on tiredom argues about semantics way more than necessary And I actually concur being wrong since I checked definition of racism and uh, it wasn't just believing in stereotypes or being prejudiced(that just called "being prejudiced"), the actual definition is really creepy shit and yeah by it I think all racists must be bigots even if all bigots aren't racist kind.

(for reference on why I'm backpedaling, by definition racism isn't about believing in stereotypes or being prejudiced, its straight up believing you can claim one "race" as somehow superior or inferior when compared to other "races". Sooooo yeah, that is fricking creepy and I concur being incorrect earlier)
