Saving you a click,youtube is doing an 'experiment' where ' 0.3% of viewers will see an auto-generated thumbnail, instead of your custom thumbnail' and naturally people don't like automated thumpnails,along with automated everything else

Generally when things are added, whether it's good or bad, nobody asks for it.

In this case...why. What possible reason could you ever have to use a auto generated thumbnail over your custom one.

Probably their way of combating inappropriate thumbnails is my guess

...that actually makes sense.

So... Logan Paul is getting/got into this fight with somebody named KSI and this video goes into why. The uploader seems to believe that this event is/will be important for Youtubers seeking mainstream success. Or something like that.

It is far from objective and I'm okay with that.

Because if there's anything that shows you learned your lesson, it's making a documentary about yourself.

Now your Subscription page is separated in sections with "today", "yesterday", "recent" and others. "Today" can only contain 10 videos. There is no arrow for you to press to see more in that section. YOU CAN ONLY VIEW THE PREVIOUS 10 LATEST VIDEOS ON YOUR SUBBED CHANNELS PER DAY. Youtube is ever more preventing us from viewing every video we subscribe to!

My today section contains 18 videos at present...

So, yeah.

Google doesn't know the meaning of if it isn't broken do not fix it.

Yeah, mine still shows all of the videos.

On another visit to the same page, ....... the "today" section is now longer and appears to show my complete list of most recent subbed videos again. So maybe it's a thing that only appears sometimes, or on your first visit to the page in several hours.

22 Videos in it now.

Just a quick reminder that Google also pays employees to think up hypothetical plans for mass behavior modification. They're slowly but surely turning into an evil cyberpunk megacorp

While YT has messed with content creators, I think Logan brought it on himself in this case.

Now back on topic:

Google has a bad tendency to update YT with stuff no one asked for (like the Google Plus integration).

In this case it doesn't seem to be an actual change.

How do i block certain videos or channels on the Youtube app on the iPad? My niece has been watching weird and strange videos which are somehow for kids but i feel are very inappropriate for her age. Most of them are videos adults and their kids doing weird stuff, kids trying to act cute and educating, and hundreds of different variations of the Finger Family and Johnny Johnny songs.

On the app I've no idea. You can hit "Not Interested" in the browser version.

Other then that I think you'll just have to destroy the app device because Youtube doesn't like user-friendly customization.
