I'm checking out a few manga I'm currently on or finished.
- Yankee Jk Kuzuhana-Chan: One boy is accepted into a school fulled of gyarus, a male to female ratio of 1:359. One is willing to use him for extortion, another let's him do all the work for one of the three studies he's in, but the one who catches his eye is the most violent of them all...but there's more to her than meets the eye. I don't wanna give too much away, but it's a fun comedy series....you can get used to the ecchi though.
- The Red Ranger Becomes an adventurer in Another World...honestly they should've called it Red Sentai becomes Isekaied...but yeah, Red Sentai of his team gave his life to stop the Big Bad of his world, but found himself in another world. He meets a young Wizard who's father was the former wizard consultant of the highest majesty until he was defeated by the current wizard consultant. She wants to restore the magic balance in the world, and he wants to help out the world that's filled with problems.
- Kuzumi-Kun Kuuki Yometemasu Ka?: The popular girl in high school starts having feelings for the loner in her class. Problem is he barely speaks, barely emotes, but there's signs he might be actually be a caring person deep down...or they both suck at reading what's going on. It's a really wholesome romance series.
- Kubo-San Doesn't Leave Me Be: Plain kid who's social invisble 99 percent of the time talks to his next-seat neighbor who starts experimenting to see if he really is invisible. It's not done yet but it's so wholesome to read.
- Shingeki no Eroko-San. It takes place in the same universe as Henjo which I haven't read too much of, but its a good standalone. A NEET+former officer workers finds a job as a handyman and falls for her co-worker. Problem is, she's 27, he's 17, and she's got her...erotic delusions. But its a cute romance.

Tokedase! Mizore-chan: Little girl rescues a melting snowman while visiting her aunt on the tail end of winter. Said aunt, at the little girl's insistence, stores the snowman in her freezer. Come summer, the snowman has transformed into a Yuki-onna and decides conquer the sun, but first she has to figure out how to not melt the moment she steps outside...
Musuko ga Kawaikute Shikataganai Mazoku no Hahaoya: In the past, Lorem was the most powerful, most feared demon around. In the present, she's a doting mommy learning to take care of her baby boy Gospel with her sister Merii and human friend Chiharu. Most stories focus on the family antics with occasional forays into the wider world that struggles to reconcile humans and demons after humans won the war. Mostly wholesome, with some Gag Boobs-specific ecchi thrown in. Manga is complete, but scans haven't caught up yet.

Another one I've become interested in:
Ossan, Yuusha to Maou wo Hirou: A man is retired as an adventurer once his age starts catching up with him. On his way back to his home town, he finds two babies, seemingly abandoned, each with a crest on their hand, and takes them with him.
Incidentally, the king has learned that the Demon King has appeared, and if the demon king appears, so to shall the hero that will stand up to do battle.
As years go by, the forces of good become determined to find they hero and make them fight and kill the demon king. The fact they've been raised side-by-side as sisters doesn't really factor into it.
One element I like is the main characters themselves standing up to the zealotry the "good" his are showing. When the hero fork, Lusha, is confronted about her and her sister Luna's roles by a powerful faetie, her response is basically to tell said faerie to "fuck off".

I've been reading a Korean webcomic titled 집이 없어 (I have no home) AKA Kids with Abusive Parents: The Series. It's made by Wanan of Welcome to Room #305.
The webcomic follows Haejoon Goh, a high school boy who got into school with a dorm in order to get away from his haunted house and Nightmare Fetishist mom. Unfortunately for him, he got into a fight and ended up hospitalized on the dorm application day. As a result, he has to stay in the old dorms, an old building just as haunted as his home. Complicating things, his only housemate is Eunyung Baek, the guy who picked a fight with Haejoon on that day, who has a Dark and Troubled Past of his own.
Despite the premise, the conflict between the two are (mostly) resolved within the first two arcs. The third act onwards introduce new characters who came across our two leads, each of whom has family troubles of their own.
Honestly, reading this can get quite uncomfortable, thanks to the pretty realistic depictions of parental abuse. But the the story never goes too far into dark or edginess. Each arc is a fairly grounded, yet optimistic approach to the problems the characters face.
I just checked the Mangadex page and… I did not expect this kind of artstyle.
I might check this out.
Meanwhile, in Yumemigaoka Wonderland, Masuda goes back to his Psychological Horror roots in chapter 8, since this is about an invisible woman (yup) and also conveniently features the previously introduced Kurea the ghost(?) girl. I just love how Masuda takes advantage of the anthology format to try different tones and approaches, without it feeling disjointed.
So, just finished reading the epilogue to Pseudo Harem. It was great, nothing too deep but the main couple is very likable and the romance is rather engaging. The humor is also generally pretty funny without being irritating. Recommended for those looking for some fluffy romcom.

Yeah, like the author's previous work, Welcome to Room #305, No Home is tackling serious societal issues with the cartoony artstyle. And it works surprisingly well.
Speaking of webtoons, I recently worked as a proofreader on The Best Smell (최강의 냄새note ), a cute BL comedy. It’s about Choi Kang-go, a guy whose nose is so sensitive he can literally smell people’s feelings, and Oh Ga-min, a guy who falls in love with him. And also their families like Kang-go’s sister Kang-shin or his openly gay uncle.
It’s just slice-of-life fluff with only small doses of drama, and I find that kinda… refreshing? I haven’t read a lot of BL comics but those I did were a lot more drama-heavy, while this one almost felt like a male version of Kase-san, sometimes (though more quirky and with more fleshed out characters). It’s incredibly wholesome.
Oh, and I made a page for Yumemigaoka Wonderland, even if there aren’t a lot of chapters out yet. I’ll probably be the only person filling it up since most chapters haven’t been translated, but eh.

I been reading a lot of Webcomic lately, mainly stuffs about Villainess Redo or Villainess Isekai. So that i would like to recommence are:
1. Is it Fortune or Is it Woe?: Cute and comfy romance. MC reincarnated as a minor villain in her favorite novel. Her sister is just a plot device who die in childbirth to give the Male Love Interest a sad back story. MC wants to stop that from happening but instead married and fall in love with the ML.
2. The Way to Protect the Female Lead Brother: MC reborn as the daughter of a super evil family in a 18+ novel. She had to become ruthless and seductive like her family if she want to live. She end up saving the Female Lead brother, whose death kicks start the plot of the novel. Naturally they fall in love.
3. The Villainess Lives Twice: This one is a more politic intrigue one. MC is a scheming sister of a tyrant who help him ascend to the throne, only for the brother to imprison her and cut of her limbs. She was saved by the resistance and perform a ritual to go back to the time when she was 18 to change the future.

E.T technically is a Isekai movieBeen reading this manga on pixiv called "Gōkon ni ittara on'na ga inakatta" (When I went to the mixer, there was no woman). Basically its about three male college students, Tokiwa, Hagi and Asagi who is invited to a mixer by a female student from Tokiwa's class named Suoh.
Somehow, when they arrived to the mixer, they found only three ikemen instead of the three girls they were expecting. As it turns out, Suoh and her two friends, Kohaku and Fuji, works at a "Male-Costume" Bar, where just like the name implies, the employees are all female who wears male clothing. Needless to say Tokiwa and co were surprised at first, but after Suoh sent them their picture with regular clothing, all three are immediately hooked at how cute they look in the picture (the reader is not shown the picture, just the reaction from Tokiwa and co.). Thus begin the friendship and some hint of romance between the two groups.
The series is seriously hilarious and I love how they played with the usual reverse trap tropings for hilarious effect. The relationship is also pretty nice with all three couples (Tokiwa with Suoh, Asagi with Fuji, and Hagi with Kohaku) having their own dynamic and chemistry. So far, both Suoh and Fuji's regular attire has been shown and both are really pretty. I can't wait for Kohaku's turn. Recommended for those who wants to read college Romcom with some added twist.
The author Aokawa Nana, is also the author of the Manga "Where a Crossdressing Cosplayer Gets a Brother" and according to her, the two series are set in the same universe and one of the character from Crossdressing Cosplayer even made a cameo in one of the newest chapter.

Okay, after only two volumes I think Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is one of my new favorie series. I love… everything about Mao Mao. She's pragmatic but still nice. She's shameless and sarcastic but a little shy. She's a bit of a tsundere but not too much. A little bit crazy too. And so far she just doesn't do that romance bullshit (though that might change, hopefully not).
There's just one thing that bugs me − what's all the emphasis on freckles being ugly? >.> Sorry but they're adorable.

Aw, really? That's a shame. :(
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.
