So most of us occasionally wander out of the house, amble down to the local bar for a few stiff drinks, and exchange philosophy with whoever happens to be nearby (and if you don't, you totally should).

I feel those often profane and intermittently profound moments of drunken genius ought to be preserved for posterity. Because, you know, that's what we do here; we get excited about things. And drink.

You probably thought I would open with something, but I won't. Because a drunk needs another drunk to exchange ideas with. Solving the world's problems on your own is masturbation, yo.

I think social anxiety classes need to involve shots. Hell I know my crippling insecurities melt away when drunk. That is why I prefer to be drunk when talking to women.

Isn't the point of a social anxiety class to be able to function without chemical help?

I am assuming that the class is for coping with Social Anxiety not for learning how to have Social Anxiety.

Well, you have to do the one, after taking the course, right? wink

Self-medication is not an evil, if done right. smile And, can be a help. The problem is... if you let it take over your life. tongue But, I'm one who's for saying that a little drink helps a lot of conversations. Even if you just wool-gather with no impact on anything. [lol]
