After her encounter at the Museum, Raven had chosen to keep a more low profile. She had to observe the people of this world and see for herself just how powerful they were. To be completely honest, she was a bit disappointed. None of the heroes she had heard about seemed to be around anymore. Sure, there were new heroes, but they were few and seemed to have enough trouble stopping clowns. If this was the kind of muscle the Earth had, then maybe it was a lost cause.
No, she couldn't afford to think like that. She had to come up with some sort of idea on how to prepare them or something. It wouldn't do any good to just give up before even trying. The pale girl drew her cloak around her body and pulled her hood up. She would have to take a slightly more active approach once again, maybe she would be able to find one of the current heroes and speak to them.
Slowly she glided out of an alley and down a sidewalk. She made sure to keep her head down and her face hidden. All she had to do was look around and hope that something came up.
Axel Asher arose from his bed, noticed it was Saturday, and breathed a small sigh of relief. He wouldn't have to see them until Monday.
Because he was really conflicted.
Why was he feeling this way? He was so sure Ming was the girl for him. She was so fiery, so passionate. But then he met... Caitlin. She was kind of old-fashioned, yet so kind. He didn't want to admit it, because he wasn't the cheating kind, but he could not stop thinking about her.
Arrgh! he groaned, and got off the bed. He had to try and think of something else. Anything!
But the only thing that came to his mind was- the other unusual event in his life.
A few nights ago, when the city was all in chaos, Alex was out when he saw some strange, costumed people going about. Of course he did the smart and ran in the opposite direction. But he felt something- stir within him. He couldn't explain what it was, but he felt like something was "pulling" inside him, pointing at where the supers where.
-*Oh God... could I be a... mutant as well??* he secretly feared.
Tired of his inner stress, the young, brown-haired man decided to go out and find some way to distract himself. He put on a red jacket and blue jeans, and stepped out into the streets of New York City.
Ivan was up humming happily, making himself some scrambled eggs back at his apartment, this fact was unusual enough by itself, since his breakfast usually consisted on badly brewed coffee and cereal, but another unusual event preceded it, a full night of good long sleep. He was dropping the eggs on his dish as Jack's message broadcasted on his communicator. He picked it up "If you want the faceless man to assist just give the order" he said, responding to Jack's message.

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song. While Jaime was waiting for his sister to get out of the bathroom he had Khaji Dha form his communicator around his ear.
"Hey, Question, could"
He stopped for a moment to yawn.
"we meet up later? I got a plan I wanna go over with you."
Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Jaime shrugged.
"My day is pretty open and location is not an issue for me considering the whole flying thing, so whatever works best for you."
Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Karen shook her head, sandwich currently in her mouth. "Ummm... mo fankth," she said mid-bite; she chewed some more and swallowed. "I like the running and jumping around," she said with a faint grin.
After half an hour of preparation (a shower, changing into one of her spare costumes and making sure Nicco knew she and Megan were 'heading out for the day'), Power Girl stood atop the rooftop of her apartment building, lowering the massive slab of concrete onto the spare rooftop access key she hid there. She then turned to Miss Martian, grinning brightly. "I'd tell you to 'keep up', but I'm guessing you can do that by default," she said jokingly, heading towards the edge of the building. "Let's go!"
With a start, Power Girl leaped into the air, landing lightly on the next rooftop and continuing onward in a jog, her gaze moving around as per her usual patrol routine.

"The thing is I'm going to assist to Mr. Ryder's show... which I have no idea when its actually taking place" He thought for a second "I'll tell you when I can, got it?"
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Ivan continued to broadcast, but this time directed to Jack "I understand, I'll be sure to get there" He ate the last bite of his eggs and washed off the dishes and skillet. He checked his watch, with a smile he saw he had a couple of hours left. He had some articles to finish and a vest to repair. He sat at his desk and booted up his crappy laptop and began to work. He responded to Blue Beetle "I think I might be free at 2:30 pm, meet me at the mansion at that time"
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Wesleigh picked the phone up eagerly once she recognised the number.
Jack was on the other end, straight to the point as always.
"Doc should be turning up in a minute to tell me. I'll let you know when I know. Hmm... as much as the last one does have a certain ring to it, how about we stick to names for now? I've been known to embarrass previous men to death with my nicknames."
Miss Martian chuckled as she flew near Power Girl without any problems. "Please! I can fly! Keeping up won't be a problem." She said, flying with her back turned to the ground, a fake uninterested look on her face as she contemplated her nails. She turned around, smiling, and flew closer to Power Girl, expertly dodging anything that came her way. "Might I suggest we finish this patrol by taking a look at Ryder's studios?" She glanced to the side, saying the next phrase under her breath. "And use that chance to get his autograph. But mostly for the patrol."
Stark Tower had been empty long enough. Fortunately, on doing checking, JARVIS had confirmed the building was safe, and Pepper had sent out the release as he'd asked her to, and about two thirds of his employees were back in the office, with most of the rest letting either he or Pepper know that they were still recovering from the riots. Tony had given his blessing for them to take a week or two to get their affairs in order, and set everyone else back to work on their various projects.
He, in the meantime, after spending yesterday hopping from repair to repair, had sent out some of his own mechanics instead. For the time being, with Pepper still in Japan (some project Dr. Tanaka was working on had caught her eye and she'd informed Tony she would be extending her stay), the actual running of the company was back in his hands, so for the moment he was in his office. While he could fob off a lot of the paperwork to assistants, some of it just had to be handled by the boss, and he was grumbling to himself as he dotted i's and crossed t's.
"How are things going outside, JARVIS?" he asked, handing off a handful of signed documents to a perky brunette, watching her flounce off to take them to be filed before taking the next pile and starting on it.
All situations currently seem nominal, sir.
"Good, good..." Tony put his pen down to tug at his tie a moment, rolling his eyes, then going back to the work. The only thing that kept the situation from being utterly unbearable was the large red briefcase kept at his side, with the knowledge that he could have that and be out the window any time he wanted. For some reason, just having the option of a fast escape made him feel more settled down.
Not to mention that looking up to see employees openly gawking at him or whispering behind their hands and waving their hands through the air as though pantomiming a jet was high quality entertainment. He found himself looking through the windows at them quite a lot, enjoying the attention. He was used to being paid attention, being Tony Stark, son of Howard Stark, head of Stark Industries, celebrity playboy...but being looked at for being Iron Man...that was something that was all his. And he rather liked it.
Easing back into life one step at a time"So 'Sandy Cheeks' is right out then?" More seriously he asked, "So would you prefer backstage pass or front row seat?"
Trump delenda estAfter walking for a few hours, Axel had stopped to watch a Tv screen though a store's showcase. He saw an ad for Jack Ryder's show, about their coming special on mutants. He wondered if maybe he should watch it... just in case he did turn out to be one, and needed to know how to handle it.
Just then, the strange feeling returned! Oh no, he silently cursed.
This time, it "pulled" at him from above. He looked up, and caught sight of what looked like two girls flying by. Two rather gorgeous girls, he noticed. But somehow, they "felt" wrong -especially the one in the white suit and red cape. As if... they didn't belong on this world...?
What did that mean? And what, if anything, should he do about it?

Last Night
Anna Marie was disappointed that Stark was not answering, so she left a message asking him to build a few things for her, namely a a defensive weapon and an earpiece to communicate with the others. She thought for a moment and decided to add a sort of portable computer like a smartphone to the list as well since hers had been so useful. After sending out this message, she watched television and went to sleep at Stark Mansion for the night.
The Next Day
Rogue really had no idea what to do other than to possibly check up on the Morlocks, which she had done earlier in the day. Now she had wandered around town, unsure of how to help with the clean up, but she did have some personal cash on her to spend now. There was Jack Ryder's show, but that won't air for a while yet.

Wizard Needs Food Badly"Ah, I do remember him talking about some kind of 'dialogue' between pro and anti-mutant groups a few days ago," Power Girl pondered out loud rather casually, even as she vaulted over several rooftop air conditioning units. "That's later tonight, though, so if someone from either side decides to be a moron and start something up, we'll want to be nearby just in case."
The two metaheroes' patrol soon brought them past Stark Tower. If Tony looked outside, he would see the buxom New York superheroine at the building rooftop across the street, leaping over another street-wide gap, while a green-skinned teen flew alongside her...

Tony's patience with paperwork had never been all that great, really. And that little red suitcase just seemed more and more inviting every time he accidentally nudged a foot against it. It was with a tired sigh that he started to hand over a bunch of papers to another gorgeous blonde secretary (he was beginning to realize, he probably had more of those than he needed)...but she was too focused on the window to take them. "Umm. Miss...um...lady?"
The woman just pointed, looking awed, and Tony turned in his chair to watch as two women...supers, apparently, were making their way past not far down below. In fact...didn't he recognize the blonde one? "Oh. Hel-looooo." He stood quickly, reaching down to pick up the briefcase. "Excuse me, I should...um. Investigate." He hurried past her, out of the office, and towards the elevator, heading for his balcony.
Within a few minutes, Power Girl and Miss Martian would hear the faint whining of repulsor fire, as Iron Man flew in near them, wearing a red-and-silver version of his suit that was much more streamlined than the ones he'd been in before. "Mornin' ladies!"
Easing back into life one step at a timeUpon hearing the familiar thruster sounds from behind, Power Girl slowed to a stop, turning around with her gloved hands on her hips as she watched Iron Man approach. "Judging by the familiar frown on your 'face' there, you must be that 'Iron Man' everyone's been talking about," she said to him with a sly smile. "Or should we be calling you something else even when 'on duty'?"
"Pfft. Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that. Everyone in the world knows who I am now, why even bother with it?" Tony brought himself down to land on the rooftop next to her. "I didn't even bother putting a voice modulator in this suit. ...that and it wouldn't fit into this one, it's a pretty minimal design." The faceplate slid open, leaving Tony grinning. "Where are you lovely ladies headed to, anyhow?"
Easing back into life one step at a timeRocket woke up from bed, finally fully refreshed from the previous few days. The raccoon was very much surprised how tired he actually was, harkening back to those all-nighters he had back in his academy days, on those really tough cases while on the force, and during the Toy Wars. In fact once the NYPD managed to organize themselves and the barricade around Mutant Town was lifted, Rocket was preparing to take a taxi back to around his hideout.........
Up until the call came in about some purple skinned looney attacking a hospital that made a good number of people, mostly patients recovering from the riots and the medical staff tending to them, go into temporary comas. He wanted to get involved, but De Wolffe insisted that the police will handle it. The fact he agreed with little argument clued the bounty hunter on how whipped he was. He was confident that Officer Yin would be able to take care of things from there for himanyway
Once he got home and put his ship into sleep mode, he just curled up and went to sleep. And once again he was reminded how much better sleeping a full ten hours on an actual bed was at rejuvinating his body than three or four hour naps on a folding chair. After a quick shower and some breakfast, Rocket was already thinking about where to go from here as he started cleaning his weapons and take inventory.
The most pressing question at the moment was that purple mutant from yesterday at the hospital. He wanted to get in on that investigation badly because attack on a freaking hospital was one of things the former cop had little tolerance for, loss of life not even an issue. He was already thinking it could be an inside job as there was very little alarm up until Jack Ryder, the patient he was seeing Wesleigh Dodds, and some random journalist reported it. Not mention the perp was someone who quite possibly has the same kinds of power as Rogue but is actively using it for evil. He did not want to tell this to Rogue because he did not want to burden the poor lass with the paranoia of someone trying to villify her own powers, and because the police wanted to keep this under wraps from the press for obvious reasons.
The next question concerned the masterminds of the riots themselves. Joker already spilled that he got the scratch to buy the tech from the various New York crime bosses and he manipulated Langstrom while Man-Bat was in the driver's seat. However, there was the question of Bane. That bastard was an enigma, wrapped in a puzzle, and all that drivel. The terrorist was using Joker as the catalyst of bringing about his own brand of chaos and destruction upon New York City, but there was nothing else about it. No idea on how to gained his tech, how he gained some many mooks before breaking out all those cons, or, most importantly, if he worked for anybody. Unfortunately, Bane was a veritable brick wall during his interrogations, and even threats of taking off that mask, which pumped Gideon knows how much pain killers into him, did not phase him. A mystery for later, certainly, but one Rocket felt would haunt the city somewhere down the road........
Finally, and most immediately, was the Owl. As much as he hated the say it, the riots had put Rocket behind schedule in trying to nab Owsley, and last he say of him the bird-themed bastards jumped off the roof of a skyscrapper and managed to glide away into the night using some kind of advanced gliding equipment. The look of it was probably was lame attempt at trying to garner support from the mutant crowd, but it was effective in making quick getaways. The devastation wrought by the rioting would be perfect cover for the heads of New York's underworld as the recuperated and regrouped, and he did not want to let the Owl get back up to full strength -
Rocket's comms rang. It was a text from Jack Ryder. His show with the pro-mutant side giving their opinions will be airing today. He did not know who this Ivan was, but he'll ask the guy himself when the time comes. The raccoon's reply to Ryder: Give me a time, and I'll be there.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!

Megan clapped her hands, and in a split second, she was already wearing her Miss Martian costume. "It won't take too long, alright, Karen?" She said, patting her on the shoulder. "And then you can go back here and do whatever you want to do. No need to worry."
She then snapped her fingers, pointing at the Bio-Ship. "To make things quick, we're not using the Bio-Ship. I'm going to fly you there. Like, literally fly you there: instead of jumping around, today you're flying! Oh, it's going to be so great!"
