"I'd appreciate it, Mr Ryder, though if you can't, I'm sure I can find some way through."
"Oh, is that 'ow it is?" cried Pyro in an offended tone, "Just 'cause she's a mutant, and a woman, and we've been talking with Ms Darkholme, so that must mean it's Ms Darkholme?! Honestly, man."
"Her name's Mystique," said Avalanche.
And a Strange Figure Emerges."it was late at night, he were both sleepy... and drunk, and we were talking about why the world doesn't work... she said to me that she'd wish to take off her face and go fix the world. On hindsight it sounds kind of silly but, that's the Question "will this be enough? will this fix the world?"..."
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song."Well, what sorts of things does this Brotherhood do?" Rogue asked the two, curious. "I don't think talkin' to Ms. Darkholme will do any harm."
After all, while she was interested in the Xavier Institute at the moment, she was willing to keep her options open. She definitely flee to the Morlocks if she felt she had to. This Brotherhood might actually be a help to District X.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyDeciding that he should talk to Rocket later, Jaime decided to continue the investigation that he started with the Question a couple of days ago. He began to fly to the warehouse that used to house military equipment that Question believes is under the Big Man's control.
Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!The disguised Megan returned to a mostly composed-looking man still standing at the door. There was a hint of annoyance earlier thanks to the Martian having shut the door in his face, but it was quickly replaced by said composure. "H-Hey, Karen. Just wanted to check up on you and, er... drop off your stuff!" He had clearly hastily added that last part, rolling the blue suitcase through the open doorway before letting go of it rather quickly.
"Well, eh, from what we've been told, it's basically a civil rights organization," Avalanche said, "We do aid and charity work for fellow mutants in the quieter times, and then the rest of the time we do work to make mutant issues known, and generally work for a better society for metahumans."
And a Strange Figure Emerges. The Blue Beetle quickly found himself looking down on the warehouse from miles above it.

Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!The man took a step back, raising his hands in front of him. "Eh... it looks like you're really out of it, Karen, so I should probably go and let you sleep. See you tomorrow!" Without waiting for a response, he turned and started walking down the hallway, leaving the blue suitcase inside Karen's door. His steps seemed rather stiff...

"Hey." Megan said, glaring at the man, taking the blue suitcase and walking over to him. "Now, listen to me..." Megan stopped. Oh, no. She didn't know the man's name!... or what he wanted to do!... If only there was a way she could—
Megan mentally facepalmed, and quickly got to work on reading the man's mind, trying to find out who he was, his relation to Karen and what was inside the suitcase.
"Oh, it does?" Rogue said to Avalanche, genuinely interested. "I'd be glad to talk to Ms. Darkholme then."
She definitely thought it was a worthy cause to help both Mutant Town and mutant rights, and if the Brotherhood could help with that, especially after all the Joker has caused, she would definitely want to help with it. Mutant Town could really use the help actually... In her time in District X, she had lived in a building that would be condemned elsewhere.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyMegan would find particularly specific thoughts currently hovering at the surface of the man's mind: Oh man, has it really happened? Stay calm, just do what Karen told you to do... but what can the police do in a situation like this? Underneath those thoughts, she would soon after find what she was looking for: the man was Nicholas 'Nicco' Cho, Karen's friend, who brought Karen's luggage from their work excursion as an excuse to see if she was okay.
Nicco whirled around, and visibly paled when the disguised Megan approached him; his cellphone was out and partway towards his ear. Oh crap, what if whoever that was is controlling Karen or something?! "S-Shouldn't you be resting, Karen?" he asked her, his voice trembling somewhat.
The Blue Beetle made sure to make it so that it is impossible for him to appear on any sort of audio or video, whether streaming or recorded, as he entered the building through a window.
Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!"Well, yeah, I should, but I'm somewhat interested as to why my only friend is scared at the fact that I'm sleepy." She said, pointing at the baggage. "Also, this? Not the best excuse. My friend woke me up because you wanted to give me some baggage and I almost wanted to choke her."
She rubbed her eyes, giving Nicco a warm smile, similar to Karen's normal smile. "Come on, let's go inside and talk. You're probably wondering about yesterday."
Contrary to what Megan probably wanted to happen, Nicco mentally panicked more at Megan's words and actions. What now, what now?! Should I just go and call someone, or try and help... Yeah right, like I can do anything against Karen of all people...
"N-No, really, I should be g-going," Nicco stammered, backing away from the disguised Megan with an obviously-faked smile on his own face. He hastily pocketed his cellphone again, trying - and failing - to look nonchalant about the whole thing. "G-Get some rest, okay?"

Megan rolled her eyes. How hard was it to convince this guy? "Right, I should explain to you what that girl was doing there." She said, looking back. "That's Megan Morse. No, she's not a hidden supervillain or something like that- everything's fine." She said, repeating the word mentally, trying to calm down Nicco. "She's just some girl that I've met a long time ago. She's staying in my house for a few days. Don't worry, she doesn't know anything, and she's perfectly normal."
"Now, would you please stop being mister-I-can't-hide-the-fact-I-think-something's-wrong and just walk inside and have a cup of coffee?" She said, pointing at the door with the thumb. "You've just woken me up after I stayed up all day working, so don't make me go over there to grab you, Nicco."
As Ra's spoke, a well dressed man
◊ with a glass of scotch in his hand watched his speech with an expression of mild interest.
Nicco was about to respond with a 'no thanks, I really have to go walk my car' line when a second figure peeked out Karen's apartment door.
"I thought I heard someone out here..." Karen rubbed her eyes - somehow still bearing visible eye bags - as she looked around, eventually catching sight of Nicco. "Nicco? What are you doing......" She trailed off when she finally noticed that there was a second... well, her already standing in the hall. She tried to speak again, but she quickly saw Nicco's expression slowly morph into utter confusion. "......Hey," was all she could say, waving sheepishly.
Nicco promptly fainted.

Wesleigh nodded. The closest she'd come to losing a loved one was probably the death of her estranged father but she did know the sense of loss. It didn't sting as much as Ivan's must have done but she could at least empathise.
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb. She raised an eyebrow.
"Really? How?"
