Yeap I Just edited that mistake out.I hate my dislexia issues :/.
Quick question, would Rouge be able to absorb magic powers like those of Mary or Doctor fate?.

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.RPG: No, it was Pa Kent (and Ma Kent) who got retconned into being alive after the Crisis. Though they did kill him anyway a few years ago. Not sure of his current status as I won't go touch New 52 comics with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole.
Uncle Ben was briefly "revived" in that Peter encountered his counterpart from another universe. But the original stays dead to keep Peter's conscience guilty. Oh yeah they tricked Peter into thinking his parents were alive too, but it was actually a pair of androids... see how ridiculous this all gets?? This is why I don't like characters to be killed off in the first place- you either lose use of the character, or cheapen the moment later by bringing them back. Save the deaths for truly memorable stories AND THEN LET THE CHARACTERS STAY DEAD!
Oh and don't worry if you occasionally misspell a word, RPG. You should see all the errors that slip into my posts before I edit them. >_>
And Rogue can absorb magical powers; but not those of robots or cyborgs. She needs flesh-to-flesh contact for her powers. Remember she also gains memories and emotions as well.

Meanwhile Parasite can absorb the powers and memories of anything organic.
And from what I remember reading of Flashpoint, the parts of it I did found interesting were Thomas Wayne becoming Batman instead of Bruce with Martha becoming the Joker, Grodd becoming an extremely bored African warlord, and the Canterbury Cricket. The rest either didn't interest me or were handled badly IMO.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Rogue's limitation is that they need to be living, organic beings, so no undead and no robots which means the Metal Men are immune to her power by being robots. With aliens, it depends on the alien. Rogue cannot absorb Rocket's powers, but can absorb Miss Martian's. Lastly, she has trouble with other power absorbers and negators, so she can't absorb the powers of Leech and may have odd effects fighting Parasite.
As for Mary Marvel and Dr. Fate specifically, Rogue can steal Mary Marvel's powers because all it requires is the knowledge of the word Shazam and having the memories and emotions of Mary Batson makes her as worthy of the power as Mary Baston is. However Dr. Fate would be immune because his magic is dependent on an item, the Helmet of Nabu. Rogue would have to wear the helmet to gain Dr. Fate's powers. However, the powers will work on the host just fine.

Wizard Needs Food BadlyHmm... It's never going to be relevant, but I wonder what would happen with Rogue and Werewolf actually. The memories and emotions would just be from Jacob or the wolf depending on which was in control but it's a curse from the Darkhold, so I'm not sure what would actually happen. Chaos magic (Chthon was responsible, so I say he counts) is weird.
I care far too much about hypotheticals.
?
I think I was aiming for Superman to be in his late twenties-early thirties. Sorry if I gave the impression that he was a teenager.
Nyyyrgh... Okay, fine, why not.
On a sour note: Recent political events in Britain have prompted me to consider a future plot. One where a third political party rapidly ascends through the elections, in spite of their outspoken bigotry towards mutants.
On a lighter note: I saw Godzilla today. Rather enjoyable.
And a Strange Figure Emerges.Marvel/DC Combined Timeline Part V: centuries ago...
(We're getting closer to the present, folks!
)
c. 49-44 BCE Vandal Savage is either Gaius Julius Caesar, or his adopted son Augustus.
The mystic Homo Magi relocate to the Hidden City in the mountains of Anatolia, guided by acolytes of Dr. Mist. (I mistook this city for Janharpur, ignore that.)
A fragment of the Starheart, an artifact created when The Guardians collected all magic in space, falls on Earth. The meteorite will pass through many hands and ultimately grant power, centuries later, to Alan Scott [see 1939].
30 B.C. Seth managed to imprison Osiris, Isis, and Horus within a great pyramid which he buried under the desert. Seth then conquered Heliopolis and ruled over the other Egyptian gods.
circa A.D. 1 Odin (M, DC) made himself known to the peoples of Scandinavia and Germany so that they might worship him and the other Asgardians.
The demon Mephisto (M) managed to take control over the living flame of his demon rival, Zarathos. Over the next few millennia, Mephisto occasionally amused himself by grafting Zarathos' soul onto that of a human being.
c. 496 CE Britain is united under King Arthur (M,DC). Arthur establishes his court at Camelot and presides for many years, aided by the sorcerer Merlin (M, DC). Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table usher in a golden age for Britain and accomplish many great quests, eventually even recovering the Holy Grail.
6th Century Other notable figures of the Arthurian era include the Silent Knight (DC) and Sir Justin (The Shining Knight) (DC). Early in his knighthood, Sir Justin is trapped in suspended animation until the 20th century. However, Merlin later uses magic to summon him back.
A.D. 500s Merlin foresaw a mystical meteor striking near Camelot. From the meteor, Merlin fashioned two weapons, an Ebony Sword and an Ebony Dagger. The Shining Knight's sword was also made from the meteor.
Morgan Le Fey (M, DC), evil half-sister of King Arthur and former apprentice to Merlin, found and took possession of the Darkhold and set the parchment into book form. Morgan and her followers journeyed to Wundagore Mountain in central Europe. Using the spells within the book she summoned Chthon to Earth but found him too powerful to contain and take command of. She and her followers managed to force Chthon back through the mystical portal, and the Elder God became imprisoned under Wundagore Mountain.
Mordred (M), King Arthur's illegitimate son, came to live at Camelot. Merlin, realizing Morgan Le Fey's and Mordred's evil tendencies, summoned Sir Percy to court and helped him assume the secret identity of the Black Knight (M). Merlin gave Percy the Ebony Sword.
Brenden, a Christian priest skilled in white magic, tore the Darkhold apart, and had the indestructible pieces scattered throughout Europe and Asia.
Merlin, wishing for Morgan Le Fey to never threaten Camelot again, cast a spell which prevented her from physically existing in the Earth dimension except for within Castle Le Fey. Although confined to her castle, Morgan Le Fey continued to use her spells to cause trouble for King Arthur and his subjects.
Merlin became entrapped by spells cast by the Faerie witch Nimue which forced him to lie in his own grave. In his last conscious moments he lashes out with a curse, removing her powers. Nimue will in later centuries become known as Madame Xanadu (DC). Although physically trapped he continued to use his astral form to aid King Arthur and Camelot.
c. 517 CE Camelot was thrown into civil war after the revelation that King Arthur's wife Queen Guenevere and his most trusted champion Sir Lancelot were having an affair. Despite the aid of the Demon Etrigan (DC), enlisted by Merlin, King Arthur and his knights finally fall to the insidious forces of Arthur’s half-sister Morgaine le Fey. Mordred and King Arthur mortally wounded each other in battle. Before Mordred died, he also mortally wounded the Black Knight from behind with the Ebony Dagger. The astral form of Morgan Le Fey helped convey Arthur's body to the extra-dimensional realm of Avalon, the realm of the Celtic gods, and prophesied to return in Britain’s hour of greatest need. The body of Percy and the Ebony Sword were buried beneath Percy's castle.
c. 515-530 CE The Geatish hero Beowulf (DC) saves the Danish Scyldings from the monstrous Grendel and his mother.
c. 698 CE Uxas of the New Gods becomes Darkseid (DC).
8th-9th Centuries Loki (M, DC) trickster god of the Norse pantheon, is imprisoned in a cavern beneath the world.
Circa A.D. 800s Thor (M, DC), son of the Elder God Gaea and the Asgardian All-Father Odin, journeyed to Earth for the first time to reward and give favors to his worshippers among the Germanic and Scandinavian peoples.
[964 CE] Jon Haraldson, aka “the Viking Prince,” (DC) rises to fame in Scandinavia.
Circa A.D. 1000 Thor, in his mortal guise of Sigurd, signed aboard a Norse expedition to explore the New World. Thor and the Vikings reached Greenland, where they discovered an ancient Atlantean outpost. Exploring the ruins, Thor and the Vikings were attacked by mystical creatures and used his mystical hammer Mjolnir to kill the monsters. Upon discovering that their god was one of their comrades, the Vikings kneeled before him. But Thor did not accept their praise, realizing that they were courageous and valiant enough to stand beside him as his equal. Thor then returned to Asgard. The Viking Prince was part of the crew.
The Great Beasts (M), seven mystical beings of great power, attempted an invasion of Earth. They were opposed by the Eskimo gods. The Eskimo god Nelvanna (M) cast a spell that would create a barrier imprisoning the Great Beasts in their own dimension. However the Great Beast Tundra created a vortex which spun much of the energy of the spell back at the Eskimo gods. Thus both the Great Beasts and the Eskimo gods were imprisoned within their own dimensions.
Odin foresaw that the Third Host of Celestials were about to arrive on Earth to judge humanity's worthiness to survive. Odin contacted Zeus; they organized the first convocation of the chieftains or the various Earth pantheons to address the problem of Celestial interference.
The Third Host of the Celestials arrived on Earth They were greeted and escorted by the Eternals to Peru, South America. Odin, Zeus, and the Hindu god Vishnu greeted the Celestials and challenged their right to interfere in Earth's affairs. The Celestials threatened the gods with cutting off the inter-dimensional portals between the gods' realms and Earth unless they agreed not to interfere. acting on behalf of the other god-fathers, they were forced to agree and swore to the Celestials to abstain from active involvement in the destiny of mankind for the next one thousand years.
The Third Host of the Celestials left Earth, planning on returning in a thousand years when super-human beings had emerged and developed on a mass scale. They would then begin their final judgement of Earth. The leaders of the pantheons began planning for the arrival of the Fourth Host. The male leaders began making plans to attack the Celestials when they returned. The god-mothers of the pantheons also held their own meeting and made plans to begin searching for twelve human beings who were as genetically perfect as possible to offer to the Fourth Host as proof of humanity's worthiness.
Odin ordered construction of a tremendously powerful suit of armor called the Destroyer (M) to battle the Celestials in case in a millennia they judged that the Earth was not fit to survive.
Circa A.D. 1000s A human wizard named Ebrok magically transformed two household felines into sentient humanoid cats which he named Flavius and Helene. The population of the Cat People began to grow. However members of the Sorcerers Guild in which Ebrok belonged eventually opposed his actions. The sorcerer Belasco (M) and others cast a spell which banished the Cat People to a pocket dimension known as "The Land Within." One of the mages killed Ebrok. Enraged, Flavius hurled a container containing the results of their current experiment at the murderer. The virus within the container eventually swept over Europe, an epidemic which became known as the Black Plague. From then on the two began doing research to transform humans into Cat People. Their first success was to transform a human woman into the feline warrior the Tigra (M), who destroyed their enemies in the Sorcerers Guild. Eventually Flavius and Helene discovered a cure for the Black Plaque.
The sorcerer Belasco used his magic to keep himself alive and to extend his life. Although he eventually began worshipping and serving demons, Belasco still retained control over the Cat People from "The Land Within."

The Pope also allowed Montesi to marry and sire children so that his descendants could be trained to be the library's curator.

The lantern will, of course, empower Alan Scott many centuries later [see 1939].

Circa A.D. 1450 A youth from the village of Kamar-Taj, Tibet, became apprenticed to Kaluu (M), the village mystic. Kaluu and his apprentice cast a spell that caused all in Kamar-Taj, including themselves, to become virtually immortal. Eventually realizing Kaluu's evil tendencies, the youth summoned mystical energies to defeat Kaluu, but not being a full master of the mystical arts the energies he released reversed the spell that gave the villagers immortality and caused them to grow sick and die. The spell that granted him immortality was weakened however, but only to the rate where the youth aged very slowly. Because of what he had witnessed, the youth dedicated his life to combating other evil sorcerers.
Kaluu's former apprentice sought out an order of sorcerers whose eldest members were known as the Ancient Ones. Turac, wishing to make an example of Dracula, took him prisoner and brought him to the Gypsy Lianda to cure his wounds. Lianda however was a vampire, and she attacked and killed Dracula. The result of the attack caused Dracula to become a vampire himself. Dracula then killed Turac. Dracula also blamed Gypsies for his transformation into a vampire, and he had many of them slaughtered.
Among one of the Gypsies killed by order of Dracula was Gretchen's son. In revenge, Gretchen cast a spell transforming Dracula's daughter Lilith into a full grown adult vampire. Unlike true vampires, Lilith was immune to the effects of sunlight and did not need to sleep during the day. Gretchen also cast a spell on Lilith whereby if she were killed her soul would be transported into the body of an innocent woman who wanted Dracula dead. Lilith set out on a mission of vengeance to destroy her father. She and Dracula would battle a number of times over the centuries with no clear victor.

Yup, that and the Odinsword were meant to fight the Celestials. After absorbing the souls of ALL Asgardians (except Thor's who was elsewhere) it grew to the size of a mountain and attacked... and was reduced to rubble in seconds. "Maybe'' if all the pantheons had attacked together they would had a chance, but nooo!
