[up][up]I was never gone. I've always been here, watching over you like a smelly, unshaven guardian angel.

Anyway, yeah, you guys just let me know when it'd be good to get back into the thick of things. Also, I could use a recap super bad.

[up] Stuff happened. Riots. Magic. Music. Normal stuff. Eeeh... might wanna get a recap from someone else.

By the way, just watched the latest episode of Agents of SHIELD, and man, is it getting good. Can we include some stuff from the show in there? Maybe have Coulson mention one of the agents that's not Skye? Maybe even get the Rising Tide in at one point.

Coulson should totally use Lola at some point.

Also, seeing agent Coulson angry is terrifying.

By the way, can we have a day in New York where the characters and the world around them get turned to LEGO bricks, a la the new superhero LEGO games?

Bindle: From where do you need a recap? Lately, we've had Klarion reversing everyone's ages and then being banished, then Music Meister stirred shit up and got knocked down, and currently there's some hoo-hah going on around Coulson, the Bat Family, and the Owl.

Speaking of which, is it all right if I fast forward things a little with the Question snooping around? I mean, that's been going on for a very long time now, which admittedly is partly my fault.

Strato: I'm sure we can try and work in stuff from Agents of Shield. At the very least, we could have Coulson get in touch with Agents Fitz-Simmons. Also, the lego idea sure sounds like fun. At first I was gonna say 'mxyzptlk' but then I saw you said 'New York' and then I said 'Aww...'

I'm debating if Deadpool should be East or West coast. Some of the west coast characters are definitely more his style, such as Wolverine and She-Hulk, but the east coast has Coulson! And soon Spider-Man.

Hmm...

I think one of the hardest things about playing a character that wants to be "hidden" is that paradoxically it defeats the purpose of writing an RP in the first place, which is to say, seeing what that character would do in context of other people.

Thus, in order to introduce Loki, I'm thinking about taking a chapter from say, City of Heroes, and have him just listen in on radio broadcasts (quaint and archaic, yes, considering our informational age) in terms of world events.

Other ideas I have (just to segway him into currently existing situations) is to have someone visit the hospital or simply have SHIELD personnel show up. Thoughts? ;)

Oh, and for LEGO, we could have it be a crossover! Mxy wreaks havoc on New York by turning the world into LEGO and the Jump City guys jump in (snort) to help them.

By the way, Liz, what is your current list of spinoff ideas made of? I remember we had a space-travelling one, an alternate dimension-travelling one, future, political stuff... well, you can add "Young Justice-like" spinoff for, like, a long time after today, when the JA are a long-established team.

Quick of clarification: Is SHIELD in our world a clandestine organization or no? I'm not entirely clear from reading the thread that the general public (or someone posing as a member of the general public) would have knowledge of their existence.

I think SHIELD is public knowledge, but not much is known about them other than being part of homeland security.

Strato: That sums up most of the ideas, but one that came up recently was a Villain Episode game, if you remember.

There are two ways that one could go: it could be a Suicide Squad, with villains being forced into expendable service by the government, or we could have a Secret Society/Legion of Doom to wreck things up.

Villains doing good deeds, or villains doing bad, or villains just living their lives and fighting people regardless of law or morality.

@The Lego idea: Yes. All my yes. The superhero LEGO games are some of the most fun I had with recent videogames. To get you an idea, in the Marvel game, there's a part where Captain America and Reed Richards jump out of the Helicarrier, diving towards the Baxter Building. They land on a locked park, and Reed turns into a GIANT wrench and destroys it.

It's awesome!

Last I remember, Klarion got his shit kicked in and the Music Meister stuff was just about to start up.

Oh, as for SHIELD, people just know they're part of the government, not that they deal with superheroes. It's not common common knowledge, but if you search for it, you'll find it.

Well, since I'm twiddling my thumbs otherwise, and the next skip is gonna be, what, like a couple months? Me and Tony sat down and got his armor list updated. Thus, post-skip, here is where we'll stand...

Mark I – Prototype armor, built of iron and steel scraps in Afghanistan. Destroyed in crash landing. Whereabouts currently unknown.

Mark II – First attempt at proper Iron Man suit, built of steel and titanium. Used against Ten Rings terrorists. Fell from sky due to high altitude icing problems over Wayne Enterprises charity event. Discarded as failed prototype. Also the armor used by JARVIS during first night of Weeper attacks.

Mark III – First armor built of gold/titanium alloy. All subsequent armors also built of this alloy unless otherwise noted. First official Iron Man suit to see regular useage. Tony's all around “general use” armor with no notable extras or additional purposes. Contains a voice modulator to disguise the voice of the person inside. All subsequent armors contain said modulator unless otherwise noted. Two copies exist of this model, to allow for repairs if one is damaged.

Mark IV – Heavy artillery and battle armor, dubbed “War Machine.” Slower and bulkier but able to withstand stronger blows and is much more physically powerful, as well as containing more weapons. Primarily for heavy assault situations.

Mark V – Suitcase armor. Extremely light and thin, can be compacted for ease of transport. Contains no weapons or extra defense beyond repulors and thin plating. Contains no voice modulator. Frequently disused due to personal dislike.

Mark VI – “Rescue” armor. Designed to compact and expand to encapsulate a person up to 6'4” and to a girth twice Tony's size, approximate weight limit 500 pounds. Designed as a drone armor for the purpose of rescue and escape, thus not developed for internal manned flight. Contains no weapons or defense beyond repulsors. Contains no voice modulator.

Mark VII – Free Running Environmentally Efficient Manned Assault Node, aka “Freeman”. An upgrade to the Suitcase armor. Draws less power than primary armors. Modeled after Half-Life HEV suit. Thinner and designed for flexibility and quick ground movement. Equipped with low-grade tazers and repulsors. Contains no voice modulator.

Mark VIII – Remarkably Augmented Lifting Power Helper, aka “Ralph”. Heavy duty suit designed for muscle and power. Markedly larger than other armors, approximately nine feet tall and built to be bulky. Created for moving of heavy materials up to 75 tons and to withstand heavy fire attacks, though sacrificing speed and maneuverability. Contains six explosive charges for demolition, three in each arm, each equaling approximately one stick of TNT.

Mark IX – Drastic Air Stealth Harness, aka “Dash”. Painted in sky blues and silvers, designed for top potential speed. Breaks Mach 5 with little effort, painted to be nearly invisible against the sky. A hit-and-run style armor for use in stealth and scouting missions. Less sturdy on the ground as the design accounts for the armor being affected by high speed.

Mark X – “Little Anton.” A giant-mecha styled armor for use against threats of large magnitude, i.e. “godzilla class”. Suit is approximately 60 feet tall when assembled, various components stored around New York City in Stark warehouses, each with a flight capacity to travel to a central location and assemble upon activation. Suit has scaled-up functions of smaller-sized Iron Man armors save flight, but is less stable due to mass. Power is leeched from the attachment of a smaller armor in the chest area and controlled by pilot in this slot, leading to considerable energy drain. Due to enormity of required resources, suit cannot function for extended periods of time, and suit contains “crumple zones” to protect circuits and mechanics which potentially allow for breach and infiltration.

Mark XI – “Violet”. A black suit designed with mirroring and reflective panels which can be activated to blend into the background and fade from sight. Not capable of true invisibility while moving as the outline of motion can be detected as the background will show signs of ripple. First appearance of repulsor force-field tech, which remains as a steady component of future armors, generating a spherical shield of energy around the armor and a five-foot radius outwards.

Mark XII – Upgraded version of Mark III adapted to include force-field tech. Small cosmetic differences included, such as a triangular repulsor emblem and different paint and plating patterns.

Mark XIII – “Goliath.” A gray and red armor with expandable paneled wings which can be released from the back or folded away when not in use. Allows for silent and/or powerless gliding. Wings can be folded about crouching armor to create a protective “case” around body. Feet and hands are molded to have sharp ends for use in cutting and climbing even thick concrete walls. Repulsors have been moved from hands and feet to shins, forearms and back to avoid sustaining damage from climbing. Intended as a stealthy urban suit.

Unnumbered design – “Silver Centurion.” A completely new style of armor, coated with silver. Design takes nothing from the original Iron Man suits, repulsor fire is replaced with extendable blades and gauntlets loaded with stakes, as well as storage around the waist, chest, and upper legs containing small smoke bombs, flash bombs, and flasks of water. A glowing circle on both shoulders light into UV lamps. Flight is achieved through a back-mounted jet pack and rudders on the legs control steering. Voice modulator renders a completely new style of voice. Designed for use in vampire hunting and to hide identity of man inside suit.

You may notice that Tony is a complete nerd when it comes to armor design. [lol] (Also that he gave up on trying to force acronyms and just flat-out started naming his armors after cartoon characters. He says he's a rich bastard and he can name his toys whatever he wants.)

Music Meister got his shit kicked in.

That's about it.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Looks like I didn't really miss much. Again, you guys just lemme know when it'd be a good time to have Spidey actually do stuff.

There are two ways that one could go: it could be a Suicide Squad, with villains being forced into expendable service by the government, or we could have a Secret Society/Legion of Doom to wreck things up.

Or maybe a Thunderbolts kind of thing with villains masquerading as heroes to try and get into the public's good graces, eventually transitioning into a legitimate super-team.

That or the Suicide Squad thing seem like the most appealing options to me, since I don't see much potential in just having villains going around and wrecking shit.

Oh, and Mysty, sorry for not having much for you or the others right now, but...you mentioned Tony wanting to call Obadiah?

Well, admittedly Tony was just making excuses to run away from the others and I'm not too worried about the wait, but sure, I could if you want.

Also, symptoms of oncoming winter weather include shivering, numb fingers, and kittens spontaneously appearing in your cleavage. (There's no cleavage in that picture.)
