@ Shark: I'm not having Wasp booster off here, FYI, I actually think that Booster and Wasp going to the ball together could be interesting. I just need to have her sort the scott lang thing out first.

Okey doke.

Speaking of Scott. Tommy, and I don't mean this to be rude it's just something I have a very low tolerance for, but the shit you're doing with posting a sentence or less? Cut it out.

You guys realize that sometimes there's not much more to say than a single sentence, right? Like when you're being attacked and you say, "My character dodges it." We're playing a game here, not writing a novel. THAT said, posts look better (and are usually more helpful) if you take your time to expand on what the character says or does. If nothing else throw in some description of how things sound, smell, feel etc.

As an advice if you're in a situation with nothing much to do, you can a lot of words/depth just by adding body language/inner feelings stuff, and sometimes avoiding the fastest route to tell us more about how your character would react and how he is is feeling about something makes scenes more interesting.

"yes I agree. " (direct but slightly boring)

vs

He crossed his arms, moving his mouth at his side while pondering for a few seconds. "I suppose there is no other way, " he sighed and then he shook his head as if trying to convince himself. "let's do this," he whispered to himself before following the others.

One thing regarding your last post, Tommy (sorry if it seems like I'm hounding you) - This version of Janet hasn't married Hank yet.

Ok. As far as I'm aware of, they were married for the most part in the comics until Hank's nervous breakdown (which I'm assuming hasn't happened yet), and I'm just kind of drawing on what I already know.

In the comics they were, but here most characters (even Superman) are barely at the start of their hero careers.

I'll be driving to California for the next week after and on Christmas day. Thus, I might be on so much during that time until around January.

For a while now Legend has been running an "Interview the Character" segment where she takes player questions and then does an IC interview with the player of the character using those questions.

[up] Slendid's...kind of been waiting on me, so, yeah, my bad. I'll fix that soon enough.

By the by, I'm having another thought about the Asgardian Realms. I recently got reminded about Gullivers Travels- which I should probably read one day -and I decided to see if I can link the different lands mentioned in the book to the different dimensions somehow. As in, have the country be a world, or several worlds, or the name of the dimension, shared with a specific Realm. If you've not read the story (or are too lazy to read the wikipedia page like I did) here's what they boil down to.

  • Lilliput: A land that needs no introduction, because whenever the story is mentioned, tiny people immediately spring to mind. Microverse, anyone?
  • Brobdingnag: From a land of tiny people to a land of giants. We could make this the space where Jotunheim resides. Hell, we could make it the direction that giant beanstalks always grow towards.
  • Laputa: A floating island of intellectuals and liberal art enthusiasts. Seeing as Asgard appears to be a drifting continent, inhabited by high-minded folk keen on smiting people below, this feels like a good fit.
  • Balnibarbi: Laputa produced fanciful ideas by the bucketload, but none of them panned out, and this vassal kingdom paid the price for it.
  • Luggnagg: Here, a minority of people can live forever, and age every minute of it. Seeing how it's eternal suffering, I could make this the dimension that houses Muspelhiem, and all the fire and brimstone hells
  • Glubbdubdrib: A country of magic wielders. Necromancers can enable conversations with the dead here, so we could make this the Hel Dimension.
  • Japan: Pretty much the real life country. Could make this a dimension filled with anime planets, maybe.
  • The Country of the Houyhnhnms: An enchanted land ruled by sapient horses. In the story itself, Gulliver falls in love with the peaceful, rational culture of those elegant beasts, and from that day forward, he regarded his fellow humans as hateful beasts, and spent all of his time talking to horses like a madman. Do I even need to make the joke? Anyway, I'm thinking we make this the domain of the Vanir, and maybe throw in a magical pony planet if I'm in the mood.

[up][up]That is a BRILLIANT idea! The only problem: Making these actual Asgardian Realms. Alternate dimensions, sorta like a Rick And Morty dealie, is an awesome idea, but outright branches of Yggdrasil is just stupid.

So I had an idea for another character I think I may have interest in playing while I was doing side research for a different RP. I looked through the signup lists and didn't see the name, was thinking of using X-23 as a character. Now, I still want to use Doc Ock, so this would mean that if she was open for use, I'd have to slot her into Jump City or Cosmic. I don't really think she'd fit into the cosmic game, but not too sure if she'd be a good fit for Jump City, due to the rather....dark backstory and easy potential to clash with the general tone of Jump City. I think she might be workable there if I just leave the darker elements unmentioned or just change the backstory to exclude them, but I wanna hear opinions from people who actually are involved in Jump and thus would have a better idea of if she'd work or not.

All that is assuming she's available for use, that is.

[up]I think she could be workable for Jump city and I would love to see there over there. I don't think a dark backstory is troublesome. We have wolverine there after all and an assassin (psylocke) that being said...

If you want to explore her more violent nature during gameplay like killing and such (due to it being lightheart) it might not be for her. Specially considering the heroes latest adventure involved a third dimensional imp and the "outrageous! "aquaman.

New York for X-23 and Jump for doctor octopus could be a nice alternative if you want.

But if you don't mind those things I think she could be a perfect fit for the game.

Ya I was considering a swap for the two if she clashed a little too hard with the tone. Would hate to mess with any plans that Liz may or may not have made for Doc Ock beyond the already discussed method of introduction for him.

That said if I do swap them, I'll likely just have Doc Ock appear having already entered villain mode. Assuming I don't drop Doc Ock completely, as I had really signed up as him due to him having been the best choice I liked that I could locate at the time.

[up]Yeah I saw the original X-23 on the cartoon and I still remember that Wolverine had to constantly stop her from going too far or killing. She outright tried to murder all of hydra as a revenge. If you want X-23 to be like that, it might clash with Jump city's tone as she might not be allowed to go that far.

But If You plan on X-23 being less killing prone. I don't think you will have issue at all on Jump city (like wolverine).

Whatever you might choose I look forward to see her in action smile.

I'm still low on idea of what to do with Steel in Jump.

I'm also a little confused about the mind stuff now. Not about what's happened, but what to do next.

I also think I should be mad.

Mad? About what?

And you can have Steel help with the Atomic Skull. When that gets rolling.

As for the Mind stuff, just follow the other players, I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Re: X-2, personally as long as the basics of the character remain (eg. she's a female, teenage clone of Logan) we don't need to stick to the comics or anything else. Just play her the way you want to.
