@GOA: It's not the deviation, it's the effects it has on the character. Like I said, a Punisher who is in his 60s and is a famous war hero might have problems operating as a crimefighter.
In fact, this is a case where a deviation from canon would be more convenient: make him a Gulf War veteran instead.
I would actually have to agree with Sijo in this case... Yeah, Punisher is supposed to be a crazed Vietnam vet, but at this point Vietnam vets are old. Pushing his origin to a Gulf War vet allows him to be young enough to make sense.
I also think X-23 is the better choice... Yeah, there are issues, but Wolverine in our canon had worked with the X-Men, and the direction we are going with that is that outside of rare instances, only Xavier and the original five X-Men (Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Ice Man, and Jean Grey) are adults with even Storm as a teenager. Unfortunately, Wolverine himself was unable to work with that direction, but X-23 can since she's a Teenage Opposite-Sex Clone of Wolverine.

Wizard Needs Food BadlyThat is one awesome Titanium Man reimagining.
Reminds me a lot of Booster Gold.
Tv Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Awww, thanks guys. I was actually inspired by the Scarecrow post a few pages back. It made me think about the places I could take a familiar character, though to be totally honest I was worried I was pushing the boundaries a little too far. As he is now, Gavril is practically an OC.
In any case, this looks like it's going to be fun.

If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~Justice Avengers: Dawn of New York
is the main RP and this is the sign up for it.
Justice Avengers: Jump City at Dusk
is the spinoff whose signup is Justice Avengers: (West Coast) Sign Ups
.
This is the Justice Avengers: Discussion
thread which is for both.

Wizard Needs Food Badly
You still haven't done that.
By the way, Liz, you gotta clean up the Reserved list, and put some of those characters in an "Already in Use" list, with characters you're using as NP Cs.

I was going to make another Coulson sheet, but can I use this
one, Liz?
- Alias: SHIELD Field Agent 616
- Real Name: Phillip Coulson
- Gender: Male
- Age: Mid-thirties
- Appearance: Here.
◊
- Alignment: Good
- Personality: When on duty Coulson keeps up a friendly, but reserved and professional demeanour. He is mentally well balanced and rational - often serving as a stabilising agent of sorts in the SHIELD teams he is assigned to. His admiration for those who use their extraordinary abilities to help others is tempered by years of experience as a SHIELD agent. He has seen some of the best and worst that meta-humans have to offer in his years at SHIELD. While he understands the need for organisation and protocol to keep order, he has little respect for pointless bureaucratic obstruction.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Special Forces training. Coulson is a capable marksman and hand-to-hand fighter, like any SHIELD Agent.
- SHIELD authority: As a SHIELD agent, Coulson has pulling power in the US government. If he feels the situation necessitates it, he can request civilian evacuations, SHIELD military support or even prisoner releases. However, these actions can be vetoed by Director Fury if he feels Coulson has overstepped his boundaries.
- Weapons and Equipment: Carries a Glock 23 when on duty, as well as a compact taser. Coulson also has access to bulletproof vests, electronic lockpicks, stun grenades, submachine guns and other SHIELD gear should the situation require it.
- Origin: Coulson grew up enamoured with the stories of heroes such as Captain America. Precisely how he ended up in SHIELD is not available for public dissemination, but he has served under SHIELD long enough to become an accomplished Field Agent.

Latverian Badger: Well, my own thoughts would be... X-23 would suit the serious tone here, but in the spinoff, she could interact with Wolverine. Nova might slot into the lightheartedness of the spinoff, or in this game he could play off the other space-themed characters we've got. Both of them might have fun with the other teen heroes in this game.
S'ppose it boils down to who you think you'd enjoy playing. And if one character doesn't work out, you're free to change your mind.
