Scarecrow is actually one of my favorite Batman villains; when used well, he has a great potential for messing with men's minds, even Batman's.
So welcome to the game, Doctor Thunder. And fear not, I have a lot of comic book knowledge so I can help with any questions. Not that this game is THAT deep, you just need to be aware of the characters' basic powers and personalities, and you can jump in.
Btw, there are actually *two* Scarecrows at Marvel. One is a generic costumed villain, the other is a supernatural hero, a living scarecrow I think? I believe they renamed him Straw Man to avoid confusion. Neither should affect your playing of the DC Scarecrow, unless you want to of course.
@Thunder: Nice to see ya here! And ALREADY you're making a splash with your interpretation of a classic villain. Basically Scarecrow doing anything remotely heroic is a bit mind-blowing in of itself. Would like to see how he fairs with Punisher.......team-up perhaps?
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Thanks for the welcome, guys. I'm excited to get started, and I'm glad you guys are happy to have me.
I appreciate it, Sijo. I'll probably be taking you up on that offer sometime.
Well, I wouldn't necessarily call him heroic, so much as a bad person doing questionable things that ultimately have good results. And in situations where there are major threats to the city in general, his goals would probably even line up pretty closely with those of the good guys. Some of the more traditionally-heroic characters would probably have a problem with how he does things, but with the way I decided to re-invent him, he's not likely to outright oppose any of the heroes as long as they don't go after him. I could definitely see him and the Punisher getting along, though. They seem to have pretty similar methods and viewpoints, really.

Hmm, thanks. I ask because my holidays are here, and even though I've actually got a good amount of school project work to be done, a couple of posts a day probably seems viable.
However, I'm also in a few other RP's already, so that will have to be taken into consideration as well.
Still, I have a lot of interest in this, and am currently leaning towards using X-23. Expect a possible character sheet soon.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiLet's hope this doesn't stretch the whole "Reimagining" aspect too far. Before, he was a shallow construct built out of Red Scare paranoia. Now, he's a shallow seeming construct built on the foundations of Capitalism.
- Name: Titanium Man
- Real Name: Gavril Bulski
- Gender: Male
- Age: Late Twenties
- Appearance: [1]
◊ But with 250% more ads.
- Alignment: Hero
- Personality: Gavril’s a pragmatic media-savvy wise guy with a tendency to fit too many words in too small a space while throwing out smiles almost as liberally as he distributes business cards. A decent sort overall, he considers himself realistically idealist or idealistically realist, depending on his mood. He helps a lot of people, never needs to hurt anyone, and makes obscene amounts of money in the process. What does he have to be ashamed about?
- Powers and Ablities: On his own, Gavril has little more than some acting chops and a decent right hook.
- Weapons and Equipment: Within the Titanium Man armor, Gavril is privy to a slew of alternately awesome and petty functions designed to increase his efficiency as a robot rescue worker and a showboating corporate mascot. He is intimately familiar with the workings of his suit, and his mechanical expertise has withered a bit due to his one-note fascination. The suit itself is bulky, a seven foot tall juggernaut built by necessity for durability rather than speed. Flight is possible, but in practice is more like a jet than a helicopter. Any elaborate mid-air combat is borderline impossible and the chief function of the flight is to move from point A to point B. Gavril prides himself as being a mobile Jaws of Life, able to rip metal apart and lift weight around the threshold of seventy five tons. His boots have bolts that can adhere him to the ground in order to increase traction, beam emitters are located in his eyes with limited range that can melt through steel if focused for a sufficient duration, and his fists are capable of harnessing this same energy to enhance punches. This is mostly used for show (because it looks totally bitchin’). On the frivolous side of things, he has built-in functions such as fireworks, deployable loudspeakers, and a plethora of recording devices. (Suit functions are liable to be upgraded and pushed past their limits when shit gets real)
- Origin:
- The Machine
The Cold War was a weird time for everyone. Atomic power hit its stride and Soviet scientists went about giving plate armor its headiest upgrade since the days of King Arthur. But impracticality reared its ugly head; overly-specific user restrictions, un-mass-produceable price tag, and general lack of combat effectiveness doomed the project to a footnote. A few years ago, a burgeoning marketing exec looked upon the newly declassified armor’s chrome shell, and two words sprang to mind: ad space.
- The Man
Gavril’s father, Boris, was a career wrestler with the gimmick of representing the Red Scare, selling out his pride, country, and dignity in the name of a quick buck and putting on a hell of a show. Gavril’s career path is… similar. After his adolescence passed him by without so much as a wink or a touch of ambition, Gavril found his resume falling into some very strange places. Hired due to his piloting test scores and his Liberal Arts gravitas, Gavril came face-to-helmet with the slightly refurbished armor and never looked away. Donned in the Titanium Man armor, Gavril is a sponsored superhero dishing out heroics with the same zeal he advertises his trademark brand of cereal, action figures, key chains, belt buckles, and bed sheets. In concern for his image as a role model for children (and partly due to the impracticality) Gavril has never actually fought a supervillain. His role as Titanium Man is focused on saving people from burning buildings, falling buses, faulty bridges, and the like. He has spent the last year traveling the country in a specialized trailer, moving to a different city each month and acting to assist that city’s fire station (and host zoo openings, christen fast food restaurants, pose with fans…). His final stop lands him in New York with very little idea what awaits him.

If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~No idea what awaits him, indeed.
Well, this certainly is interesting. I dare say it's not the most intense reimagining we've seen in this game. And hell, seems I could finally pit some armoured enemies against someone other than Iron Man.
Accepted. We're currently relatively near the beginning of the game day, so you could probably join if you wanted to, but there's quite a bit of stuff happening right this moment.

They laugh at the law. but they don't laugh at me

- Expert Tactician: Armed solely with conventional weapons and motivated by a fanatical hatred for criminals like those who murdered his family, the Punisher has single-handedly incapacitated up to a dozen well-armed and experienced opponents in a single encounter and escaped uninjured. It is his military training and his attention to detail that allows him to achieve this.
- Weapons and Equipment:
- Outfit:His armor as shown in the picture, According to Frank Castle, this drew the attention and the aim of the criminals to his heavily armored body, instead of his more vulnerable head.
- Firearms:The Punisher employs a vast array of conventional firearms including machine guns, rifles, shotguns, handguns, knives, explosives and other weapons culled from common and organized criminals and military sources during his operations.
- Origin:born in Queens, New York to parents of Sicilian ancestry, the young Francis Castiglione enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, eventually becoming a U.S. Marine Captain. He married his wife, Maria, who was already pregnant with their first child prior to his enlistment.During his time in the USMC, Castiglione graduated from boot camp and then went on to United States Marine Corps School of Infantry. While still in training, Castiglione met Phan Bighawk, an American Indian scout. He was assigned to be Castiglione's guide, and through Phan, he learned how to survive in the wilderness.Following his training, Castiglione served in the Vietnam War in the Special Forces Unit as a point man. He fought in numerous engagements and was the only survivor (from both sides) of a Viet Cong assault on Valley Forge Firebase in 1971. For heroism in the line of duty, he was decorated with the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, 3 times the Silver Star and Bronze Stars, 4 times the Purple Heart, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. After finishing his second tour of duty in Vietnam, he came back to the United States and had a second child with his wife. He then signed up for a third tour to which he illegally re-entered the U.S. Marine Corps under the name of Frank Castle in order to return to battle. Castle served a total of 4 years in the Vietnam War (1968 to 1971). Six years later (1976) after the American involvement in Vietnam ended, Castle ran Special Black op training missions for Marine Recon Commandos in the upper New York State area.
While on leave, he took his wife and two small children to Central Park in New York City. Coincidentally, the family happened upon the scene of a mob killing on the Sheep's Meadow green in the park. Fearing witnesses, the mobsters murdered Castle's family in cold blood and escaped. Castle managed to survive the attack but was deeply traumatized by the incident. He was going to testify in court to identify the shooters, but Castle was denied this since the New York police department were deeply connected with the Mafia. He decided not to return to Marine duty, but instead, outfitted himself with assorted weapons and a battle suit that displayed a large death's head on the chest, and embarked on a one-man anti-crime campaign throughout New York City. Castle devoted the rest of his life to eradicating organized crime, using the nom de guerre of the Punisher.

Wow, new members *are* coming out of the woodwork! That's nice.
A few comments:
- For X-23, be sure to check the history of Wolverine (in the West Coast entry) to make sure they match.
- Titanium Man reimagined as a corporate mascot is both ironic and appropriate for our post-Cold War times. ;)
- Actually, Punisher hasn't done much other than shoot a few people and promise to stalk a few others so far. Not much to read about. I'm more worried about two things: a) How old is he? by insisting on his having been a Viet Nam war vet, he must be pushing 60 by now. And b)Don't you think you're exaggerating a bit with the medals? I always thought Frank was a rather obscure figure in the war (otherwise wouldn't the media give him more attention eg. "War Hero Goes Nuts, Becomes Serial Killer Of Criminals?")

Ooo, a Batman character. How refreshingly unique.
I kid, I keed. Anyway, I like your spin on the character here. The anti-hero spin certainly is unique. I'm tempted to suggest that you incorporate some elements of the Marvel Scarecrow, but to be perfectly honest, it's damn near excellent as it is.
So in light of all that, I'm gonna say Accepted. Since we've only just started to begin the day, I see no harm in letting you join sooner rather than later. But be warned; the game is on the precipice of a menagerie of player-suggested plots.
And a Strange Figure Emerges.
