Jarad should probably be a shaman rather than a wizard if existing Golgari precedent is anything to go by.
However, if you look at Glissa, there clearly isn't any room for a third creature type, and they probably thought Zombie Elf was too important. (Though really Elf shouldn't be there unless they want to errata the majority of zombies to Zombie Human...)
I guess it is.Um, okay, apparently Jarad is not quite what we thought he was, and this
is the real Jarad.
I don't know what the hell is going on anymore.
You're an ad hominem attack! For some reason, part of me can't help but feel like at least one party on MTGS is intentionally disseminating false information. Maybe it's for kicks, maybe it's to keep us from getting spoiled on exactly what certain cards do by covering up the real info with a bunch of fake stuff before Wizards puts up a visual spoiler, I don't know. It's hard to say.
Many fakes have been posted to MTGS before. Many more will be in the future. The mods there are pretty good at spotting them by now.
Note that most of the cards posted there, real or fake, are spoiled in other places on the 'net before being posted. Rootborn Defenses comes from someone's blog and Jarad from some Chinese Magic site.
I guess it is.
I'm glad that I'm not the only person who thought that. I mean seriously, Comet Storm is great design, the best way of fixing Fireball.
As someone with a beloved Rosheen Meanderer commander deck, I would never diss Comet Storm.
I actually think the Gruul ability might be some kind of Imperiosaur thingy. It's a mechanic that would never work in large quantities but guild mechanics aren't used in large quantities.

One thing I like about Invasion block is that cycle of creatures. I mean, come on, Merfolk Goblin? That is totally awesome.
