Disney TVA News tweeted that they think the show is going monthly for the last few episodes, so it seems like they don't have all of the information. Maybe they haven't seen the promo yet?

[up][up][up]Well, considering that (barring something going on behind the scenes) the show is ending, we're not going to have a lot of time to pull that plot string.

[up][up] Disney TVA News isn't an official site (though they do get scoops here and there) and I wouldn't necessarily trust promos since they sometimes throw in stuff from episodes that won't air for a while (Duck Tales promos with footage from the Halloween episode, for example). I don't think the programming highlights have missed any episodes for shows I follow, so I wouldn't know about Star Vs. or Milo, but I'll take your word on it.

I guess we'll see if Zap 2 It shows any more February premieres. I just wouldn't be surprised since they did it before for Maximum Venom and it would be consistent with the mistreatment of the series.

The Programming Notes for Feb. 2021 and the Press Release from Disney are now matching.

It appears that there is only one new episode in February.

Although maybe they'll change their minds in the next hour or something.

I guess part of me is just confused as to why they don't just put them on the release. You want to get the word out that they're airing; why leave them off?

If Zap 2 It doesn't list any new episodes in a week or so, then it means it is going monthly. Even the DTVA guy is thinking so.

Yesterday I saw the episode where the heroes find out that Karmi writes fanfiction about them, and she inserts herself as the girlfriend of "Captain Cutie", which seems creepy to me.

To be fair, for an author to insert herself as love interest is not really rare in fanfiction, what makes it creepy is the fact that In-Universe, "Captain Cutie" is a real person.

In other words, she ships herself with a real person. (In-universe)

Yeah, that was my issue with that episode, and a lot of people's. I think the intention was to be positive towards fanfiction writers and artists, which is usually nice to see considering how many other cartoons portray fans as. The issue is that the heroes Karmi worships are actual people, not fictional characters. That makes Hiro's discomfort actually understandable, but because it's meant to be positive towards fan creators, he's portrayed as being in the wrong.

Not disagreeing that it's problematic, but there are apparently tons of shipfic out there involving real people. Usually boy bands and the like.

There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.

Leaving the creepy factor aside

Something that would seem funny to me is if in Karmi's web series, Karmi and Captain Cutie ends their relationship and she has a young boy who is obviously based on Hiro as a new love interest. And that the reaction in the universe towards the new character is hate and Die for Our Ship.

Fans: "How is it possible that Karmi leaves Captain Cutie to be with that new character called Jiro? He doesn't have any charisma."

That would be an interesting and potentially fun twist on Hates My Secret Identity.

It should be noted that in my hypothetical example, in the web series, "Captain Cute" and the guy who is obviously based on Hiro, would be two different characters.

And now Google claims that there is a new episode airing on February 8th. Though "A French Apprentice" is now "A Fresh Sparkles", which I guess was misread from the office photos that were posted (and deleted) earlier this month.

Episode descriptions:

"A Fresh Sparkles" - When Big Hero 6 find Mr. Sparkles working at the Pizza Party-torium, he tells them he's decided to leave the world of crime behind

"Noodle Burger Ploy" - Noodle Burger Boy and the mascots abduct Fred

Okay, cool. So I'm glad Disney XD isn't treating the show THAT badly and that the final episodes will air accordingly. Though it's still questionable that we're finding out about the new episodes airing this month in this manner.

And now the show's ending is officially confirmed.

They also talk about the final two episodes:

"What is now the series finale will consist of the music-filled "Krei-oke Night," in which Krei enlists Big Hero 6 to launch his new karaoke machine, and "The Mascot Upshot," in which Hiro (voiced by Ryan Potter) sees an opportunity to defeat the mascots when they decide to add a member to their family."

The series finale is on Presidents Day, kind of like with Gravity Falls , where its series finale was on Presidents Day (February 15).

Just a heads up, we're still due for a Baymax series coming soon to Disney+.

Keep in mind, said show will be from Walt Disney Animation Studios rather Disney Television Animation, so expect CG.

Also expect it to ignore pretty much everything that happened in the series (a given depending on when Baymax! is actually suppose to take place).

I feel like the Baymax show is going to be like a longer version of those Baymax shorts where's he's fooling around. For sure, there's going to be some heartwarming moments of Baymax helping people, but I wouldn't expect to see any of the other BH 6. Maybe some cameos, but that's about it. I highly doubt we'd ever see some of the show's original characters, since that would mean making CGI models for them.

And to be honest, I can't blame them. Baymax has always been the main draw of the franchise and I even remember a review pointing out how other countries' dubbers knew this to the point that they simply named the original movie "Baymax"

I wasn't really feeling "The Mi SFIT" that much. Though I like the idea of Hiro passing down the title of youngest student, Rishi was really annoying and not at all interesting. I'm getting tired of the mascots as the consistent antagonists again. Also, it really feels out of character to have Granville being happy about a villain invasion and using that to convince Rishi to join in. Wasn't she deeply concerned with Bob Aken's safety when he was a student? Didn't she had to deliver the news to Hiro about Karmi leaving SFIT because Karmi was traumatized? What changed?

"Return to Sycorax" was only slightly better. We don't really know any new information about the Amaras beyond that building being abandoned and sold to Krei, so I guess Liv closed down her company. The plot with the evil food mutants wasn't really that fun. And since apparently the entire episode was just Fred's junk food-induced dream, nothing really happened.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to these episodes the most out of the final batch and I was pretty disappointed.

Yeah, "Return to Sycorax" being All Just a Dream really irked me. Like I understand that you're suppose to be doing comedy and all that, but we've been literally waiting for an entire season to some resolution for Sycorax, and we don't really get anything. Like...give us something.

Both of these episodes is where the new format doesn't really work that well. I feel like they would've been better as full-length ones. It's also a shame knowing that we're not getting anything after this next batch, so say goodbye to anything substantial involving Sycorax, Patel, or Liv/Di.

It might slightly save "Return to Sycorax" if you interpret the ending in a way that only the kale monster was a dream, and the rest of the episode, with the taco scorpion and the crepe vulture, actually happened.
