You want You Know That Show
for finding stuff you can't remember the name of.
Anyway, the book you're thinking of is Scott Ciencin's Dinoverse.
The dinosaurs are correct for their time period, so the vain girl was actually turned into a leptoceratops, and the pterodactyl you're thinking of is actually a quetzalcoatlus.

So there was this book that I found in the library when I was very young — probably shouldn't have, because I seem to recall some vaguely inappropriate stuff — about a group of teenagers who got turned into dinosaurs (somehow). I think that the cover was white and it had a green T-Rex on the front, and it was quite bulky (in my little hands, anyway).
I think one of them was quite a vain girl, and she got turned into a triceratops. And somehow she was still wearing a bikini, and maybe she was sunbathing by a lake... and one of them was a pterodactyl? I don't know! It was a weird book.
Anyway, it's been sitting on the edge of my mind lately and irritating me to no end, so I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify it. (please let me know if this is the wrong place for the thread!)
