As far as I can tell. This was way past the "final warning" stage.

The bans came down only yesterday, Ud.

...and that's terrible.

Gravedancing is bad, Ud =_= It is a horrible ugly mess.

So...any ideas on how to handle things? Should we seek them out and ask permission to take over their characters, or at least to turn them into NP Cs? I'm honestly a little scared that, with so many people dropping out for one reason or another, that this RP will shrivel up and die before the real action can begin.

One idea is have is to make the Knight Leader positions of their characters open again and retcon them out. With Adannor and Deadbeat dropping out, that should leave five slots still open.

My idea, and this is probably a bad one, is to have them be the first to be incapacitated or otherwise killed in the fight. You can obviously see why this is a bad idea.

Yeah, that IS a bit of a bad idea.

Honestly? I'm like Endark, In that I'm scared that the RP will die before the action begins. I think that what Endark said is the best initial Idea but if we can't get a hold of them or they are refusing to let the characters become NP Cs (If it is a permaban) that Ud's idea of recruiting more people would be best and I am really hesitant to say that as I really don't like Retcon's or booting people out but if that's what has to be done to save the RP...

In the event that a Retcon is unavoidable, though, I suggest we make the dropped characters into Leaders-In-Training (or at least regular squires) rather than editing them out of the plot altogether. That way, in case the ban isn't permanent and the returning players want to resume their positions (and if it's okay with whoever took their places), we can have a scene of their replacements passing the torch and avoid introducing the characters all over again.

...Of course, this is all assuming that we actually get replacements before the ban is lifted. I've got a link in my signature, but really, there's not much you can do to advertise an RP.

I'd just like to say I'd prefer not having my character killed off. Thank you.

It doesn't matter if it is laconic, what is important is establishing the character.

Indeed it does. Though the real characterisation would happen when he interacts, of course.

Of course but how a character communicates to another tends to be dictated by how one establishes their characterisation (We also have this in real life, known as a personality)

My god I'm getting psychoanalytical and philosophical now maybe I should stop...

Well, it's been almost a week since the last post, and I'm not sure how to reply to it without repeating something already stated. Psyga, if you're reading this, I'd suggest that you have the Gold Knight come back to the dining room and start talking about the main plot before anyone else loses interest or becomes unavailable to post. Otherwise, I'd say that my fears have been realized and that this RP is finished.

I've just noticed this really late.

I'll serve up a quick post and see where it goes.
