Mike

He had a plan now! Time to up the ante, so to speak!

First stop! This random street where a certain city councilman always took on his way to work. This councilman was a crooked one, a stealer of taxes! And it was Mike's sworn duty to bring him JUSTICE.

And so, as the councilman was walking down the street, yawning slightly, Mike made his move. He pulled out a vial of his trademark poison and threw it at the guy. The man fell unconscious faster than you can say "SURPRISE!"

"...Now, to get this guy back to the hideout..."

Half an hour later, Mike had dropped off the councilman at the hideout and was once agin on the prowl. (He had told Rider to do whatever he wanted with the guy.)

"Who's neeeeeeext?"

Setne

"Yeah! That would work!" Setne nodded....and his head fell off.

"Ooops."

"Anyway, boss! For the ritual I need blood and a few major organs! Think you can get some for me? And um, can you pick up my head? Thanks."

When the Councilman eventually came through, Shapur quickly rematerialized infront of him grabbed the man by the neck and then killed him with a punch to the sternum, shattering his ribs and turning his internal organs into a fine, slushy mulch. The man did not even have the time to scream before he died.

"Hmmmm... At least the pain has gone."

The Servant then let the body drop in an undignified heap on the floor before dematerializing and following Mike again.

George gave his servant's disembodied head a look of disgust and vexation before driving back to the central police station, for the purpose of getting paperwork done and covering up the atlas spire bombing as a mere terrorist attack.

Orit, Daniel, and Lancer (Guan Yu). Archwood City.

A second before Odysseus started his barrage, Lancer burst free of his bonds. He dodged the arrows aimed his way, or deflected them, while deflecting those aimed at his Master. It was a wonderful sight to behold, more akin to a dance than to warfare. Lancer's blade whirled, and his beard flowed, and the arrows were batted away. So it continued for a few moments, then something went between Orit and Lancer, and they retreated, Lancer deflecting any arrows fired toward them.

Daniel. Archwood City.

"Thank you, Rider," Daniel said, aloud. "I owe you. I was being careless." She sat down, cross-legged. "What intel did you gather on Caster... and... was that a second Caster I saw there?"

Theodore Roosevelt and Noah, outside the hospital

"Now what?" Roosevelt asked, peeling out of the parking lot and gunning it out of the Hospital. "Should we look for a fight? Perhaps go to the Atlas Building? Or perhaps you would simply enjoy a night on the town, and actually willingly join the war in the morning. Your choice."

Lancer (Vlad Tepes), The Beach

"What now?"

Lancer turned to Chloe. He always looked somewhat cold and imposing, but here, on the land he had claimed as his own, there was domineering, almost cruel air around him.

"It is impossible to defeat me on this battlefield, at least without deploying Noble Phantasms capable of mass destruction. Any opponent, even that Servant will simply become my prey if he dares to enter this domain."

As the beach settled around its new protector, it changed more and more according to Lancers personality. The air became significantly more chilly and wind began to blow, somehow bringing the scent of mountains and forests with it.

"The question is of course, how to lure those murderers here. We know nothing about them, with the exception of their appearance, which will make any action against them pretty hard."

He sighed and stretched as he was talking. As much as he wanted to punish those to, there really wasn't anything he could do now, and he had to accept it.

"Either way, I don't think there is much we can accomplish today. Thanks to this land, I have a source of prana that will allow me to stay in this world, and regain my powers if necessary so we don't have to race against the clock anymore."

He frowned and looked closely at his Master. She...didn't look very good. Of course, it was understandable, especially if you considered the circumstances but it still tinged his voice with a hint of worry.

"I would suggest that you will some place to settle in and try to sleep. It is pretty late and today was more than stressful to you. And tomorrow will probably be even worse. Meanwhile I will fully recharge my prana and guard the place in a case someone will pass by. The downside of ley-line crossing is that this place is fairly conspicuous."

Rider (Odysseus), Archwood City

Odysseus stopped his attack almost immediately and observed retreat of Lancer and his Master. He chuckled.

"Heh.... So he didn’t want to get serious either huh?"

Without paying them any further attention, Odysseus jumped down on the street and approached his Master.

"Thank you, Rider, I owe you. I was being careless. What intel did you gather on Caster... and... was that a second Caster I saw there?"

He yawned.

"Circe was summoned in the top condition, so she is as powerful as her legend would imply. Killing her would involve either me getting serious and probably trashing half of the city in the ensuing fight, or some kind of back-stab. Honestly, I would prefer if we stayed on friendly terms – trying to kill your former lover and a mother of several of your children would be just tasteless, don't you agree? About the Servant she was engaging at first.... I don’t know. I don’t even saw him, but from the amount of power he emitted, I would wager that he will be quite strong. And as for the other Caster… He was weaker than Circe, and there was something wrong with him. He was undead, as in an actual rotting corpse, so I think there was something faulty either with his status as Heroic Spirit or his summoning. Overall, I don't think he is a threat unless he has some particularly unpleasant Noble Phantasm"

Odysseus finished his report and grinned.

"So do you want that I return to the Spire? I might catch a bigger fish than Lancer if I join the fray again."

Daniel. With Odysseus; Archwood City.

"It is fine to stay on friendly terms with Circe, I think," she mused aloud. "Better let her do the dirty job for us, neh?" She rubbed her chin. "The corpse we can disregard for the moment, unless he goes after us. That other Servant we need to be weary of, at the very least until we get proper intel on him." A pause, in which she closed her eyes for a moment. "We need more intel, so you should go back to the Spire, but this time we need to stay closer to each other. I don't want to fight another Servant today. optimally, at all. Good things come to those who wait."

The Black Knight

"Questioning the authority of someone who saved your life? I'm still debating your usefulness, minion. Try not to make me kill you," the black Saber said with irritation.

Archer

"I agree," Archer said. He was relieved his Master was finally seeing sense for once. And not a moment too soon, because Archer felt an enormous pressure start to bear down on him. It was the same sensation you'd get staring down an enormous tidal wave just before being swept away. Was this the Servant they were warned about?

Rider (Odysseus), Near Atlas Tower

"We need more intel, so you should go back to the Spire, but this time we need to stay closer to each other. I don't want to fight another Servant today. optimally, at all. Good things come to those who wait."

"Safety first, eh? Do you have anything about me having one or two more tumbles? "

He asked, and immediately leapt away, not really waiting for her answer...

...and he halted as soon as he arrived near the Atlas Ruin. The immense presence of the Servant permeated the whole area. Instinctively his gaze shot upwards at the slender figure in a gown, perched at the top of the ruin. That being up there was a Servant, and incredibly powerful one. He sent his image to his Master so that she could determine his parameters.

"So, Is this guy a sufficient piece of intelligence for you?"

He asked with a trace of glee in his voice. There were several other presences, loitering around the Spire, but nonoe of them was near as impressive. Well then, little hawk....Who will be your prey tonight? He smiled as a shiver of anticipation ran down his spine.

In one word: shit, sent Daniel. In a few: This ones is worrying as that other Servant. However... talk to him, you rogue. Information is what we're after, and we can get that from him.
She chuckled. As to tumbles... are they of the sexual kind? I don't really care, as long as you don't end up getting caught with your pants down, eheheh.

Enkidu

And thus Enkidu gazed upon the Servants gathered around the ruins of the Atlas building. However, unlike his fighting in the Ghetto, he didn't seem full of cheer and energy. The reason was simple... At that time her Master and him were riding out in glory to face their enemies. Right now, on the other hand, his Master was in great turmoil and he was sent to clear the ruins of her joy and pride from invaders.

At the moment, the Lancer didn't create any weapons, he merely looked down at the Servants and said "I am Servant Lancer, sent by my Master to clear the ruins of her castle free from crows. If any of you value your brief time upon this age and time, then please flee now"

Aaron Skyfield

The "corpse" twitched. Over the decades that Aaron had spent researching the Dead Apostles, nothing had ever elevated him to that glorious level. Every potion, every spell, they all failed. Then he was killed. At the instant of his death, a one in a million reaction occurred. Various spells and alchemical effects combined to raise him from the dead. But new life was not all it granted him.

"Mistake," he muttered. Repeating the last word that he spoke before dying. He stood, shakily, and reached out with his right arm, only for it to fall away in chunks, and then regrow itself seconds later. The new arm was thicker, with bands of muscle and tough bone. His gut was reforming, skin hardening to steel. His contract with Diomedes was gone, but more magic than ever flowed through him.

"THAT WAS A MISTAKE!" shouted Aaron Skyfield, the world's newest Dead Apostle.

Felicia

Felicia 'hm'ed and nodded.

G-got it. Miss Arturia... come to my side.

She winced slightly as the Command Seal on her hand blazed, one of the marks fading.

Yuna

Yuna flinched at the sight of the Servant atop the ruins. She could feel the power radiating off the other being.

Saber...Nero...are you sure we should stay here? she thought quietly, her hand almost moving up to touch the other girl's shoulder but diverting itself at the last second.

Mirai

Mirai managed to avoid yelping, if barely, as she was placed on top of—on top of!—her Servant's shoulder.

"Ah, I don't t-think this is the best idea if we don't want to attract attention," she managed to stammer out. The ground seemed quite far away...

Arthuria, Attacking the Black Knight

Arthuria felt the power of the Command Seal coursing through her body as she grabbed hold of her blade with two hands "Felicia, the moment I appear in the fray, I want you to stay hidden and make your way away from the field of battle" she swiftly communicates before she disappears from her current location, her form bending space to obey the power of the Seal.

Suddenly, Arthuria would appear a little distance away from the Black Knight and her Master. She lost no time in sprinting towards them, swinging her blade for a powerful diagonal strike barely letting out a battle cry.

Elias Callahan, En route to Archer's Peak

"So Robin, just why and what made you become the legendary Robin Hood? If, like you said, there are many Robin Hoods I am curious just how you came to be one" he was genuinely curious. While he had been draw to thievery for his own reasons he wondered just what made this woman become a master archer and thief. "If you tell me why you became Robin Hood then I'll tell you why I became a thief if you want. Oh, and I have to ask this as well, is Robin Hood your real name or just a title?" He really was asking quite a few questions but he wanted to know almost everything there was to know about his partner if he was to win this war.

Valeria Morris, Near the ruins of Atlus

"I agree, perhaps we should retreat to Redrock for now" she said with a hint of anger. She didn't want to be scared away by another Servant but if Saber was startled by their presense then she wasn't going to risk that fight. "Let's go quickly then" she said as she grabbed on to Octavian so they could quickly get away.

Assassin, Near Atlus Ruins

The Assassin who had been approaching to loot Aaron's body leapt back as if burned when it began twitching. Sprinting a little ways away, he took cover around the corner.

Master, you'll want to see this!

What? What is it? Suddenly concerned now that still more unknown elements seemed to be popping up after things finally seemed on track to resume as planned, the evoker transferred his consciousness to the shadowy Servant and bore witness to the fallen Master's improbable and gruesome revival.

Evander, Under Brunestudland

That... Evander gazed on in shock and a little horror, his mind screeching to a halt as the red-haired man's formerly lifeless body began to re-animate itself. He couldn't possibly... Dead Apostle.

The Barthomeloi's train of thought froze again, overtaken by an irrational fervor even before the notion was fully formed. Vampire! Parasite! Pretender! Aberration! Kill it. Annihilate it. Grind it to dust! Burn it to ashes! Wipe it's unnatural existence off the face of the Earth! ...No! Think, Evander! Think, damnit! Struggling to suppress his violent desire to eradicate the now-undead Aaron, the Head of Eulyphis raised a shaking hand and slapped himself across the face, hard.

...Sir?

Shut up, Assassin! the Master growled over their mental connection, abruptly breaking off the synchronization in an effort to help his rational side win the war over his instincts, I'm adjusting the plan! Watch him! Watch him very, very closely. If you lose track of him, it'll be your head, understand?

Yes. Of course.

Good. Report if he does anything exceptionally outrageous. Evander let out a shuddering sigh, leaning back and staring numbly up at the ceiling.

Master!

What now?!

Arthur out of nowhere! The Black Knight-

A command seal, the Lord replied immediately, calculations still in overdrive, Just the one?

Ye-

Well, whatever. Evacuate them to the nearest safehouse. Stall Arthur and redirect her to the island if possible. I don't care how you do it, but at least try not to provoke them.

Robin Hood

"Sorry Master... but to answer that I'll have to make a little stop"

Robin stopped their journey to Archer's Peak as her Master asked such a question... letting him down on the roof of a building with her at his side "Well, to answer your question... My last name is not Hood. That part I did adopt as I went on with my life. However... My name always was Robin. Was popular at the time, you know? Pretty bird and with the tales of the heroic outlaw it was all the craze"

"As for which Robin Hood I am... well... I'm the one that won the tournament" says Robin, looking down at her right hand... flexing the muscles in it as she gazed back at the distant past "And I'll have you know... it was not a tournament. It was the tournament"

"King John wanted to catch me you see... so goes the story. The real reason, I'll never know... I didn't actually know the man. Saw his face a few times in my life, but being an outlaw and he a King... well, suffice to say that I don't know why he made that tournament"

"It was a windy day, cloudy too. Not the best conditions for the tournament, but all the archers took it as an extra challenge. And there were lots of them... the finest archers from a nation of archers. And I competed against every single one of them, Master. Young little me, disguised as a man"

"However... I'm not sure that not everyone there was a human, my Master. No... it was a strange day that one, full of mists which seemed to conceal things from the beyond. By the seventh round I could have sworn that the man on my right had hooves for feet. In the eleventh, I defeated a man with red skin and a look that could chill your bones. I don't know what caused it, Master, but that day was the longest of my entire life... it was challenge after challenge, each more difficult than the last. And yet I endured... against rivals supernatural, against those who had decades more of experience against me, against those who had the finest bows that were ever made. A disguised girl with an ugly piece of wood she called a bow"

"But I could see... I always could see my target in the horizon and that is all I needed. By the end of it, they tried to cheat, they tried every dirty trick in the book. My targets were always farther away, they would be moved, I would be thrown a rock in mid launch... But none of it mattered one bit. Because at the end of the day, I won. In a nation of Archers, on the famous tournament held by the King himself, I defeated every contester, every circumstance" as she says this, Robin's hand starts to glow with a golden color "That day I was crowned as the greatest Archer ever to live... Robin Hood's legend added that title to its collection. That is why, Master, you have the best Servant of the Archer class as your Servant. I might be overcome by the other classes, other Archers might have deadly venom in their arrows, bows charged with heavenly might, or they might use ranged weapons beyond my understanding... But none of that matters to me. When it comes to a bow, an arrow and a target I have no equal. Whatever enemy you put before my sights will find themselves riddled with my arrows"

Wow, so that was why she was so confident. she won a contest in overwhelming conditions against things that should have entered while they were cheating. Gale

Narrowing her eyes a bit, Gale simply sighed at her Servant's comment about her dress. "Thanks for the compliment, though... I swear you can be such a pervert at times..."

Putting her boots and thigh-high socks on, Gale promptly signaled for Kay to follow, before heading out the door. "And if we don't know where they are at, then we might as well search for them, right?"

"The Atlus tower may be one place where we can search, but..." Gale hesitated a bit, biting her lip as she continued to walk, "...I'm sure every enemy would be heading there at the moment itching to pick up a fight. If we do head there, then you got to promise me not to go out and impulsively provoke people, alright? We still don't know just who else may have been summoned as a Heroic Spirit."

Yami

Looking over Tamamo, Yami silently nodded her head at the dark Servant, before allowing her Master to wrap her arms around hers. Her revenge was quenched now that Tamamo was... well, in this new form. What the fox-girl may have went through while the shadow devoured her was more than enough to relieve Yami of her silent fury.

With a genuine smile, the dragon looked upon her Master, before patting her on the head. "Indeed, let's go and have some fun~ Shall we head towards the Amusement Park," Yami then nodded towards the burning Atlus Tower, "or the tower over there? I'd like to head towards the park, but wherever you want to go to, I will happily accompany you without question, and protect you. The day is yours, after all~"

Perseus

Taking his Master's silence as a green-light to go ahead, Rider nodded his head before taking spiritual form. Reappearing on the top of the building, the cloaked, hooded, and masked Servant who now looked like the grim reaper glanced casually upon his shield, looking over the entire city and all of the heartbeats that it showed to him. Running his finger upon the projected map upon his shield, he paused at the Atlus Tower, and narrowed his eyes as he hummed to himself.

Hm... No, there are far too many Servants there... Perhaps somewhere else... Thinking a bit, Perseus thought about hunting down those who Jeanne placed a bounty upon, but immediately shook his head. I'd just be wasting my time, everyone is probably already after them...

And then, he saw something... peculiar. A heartbeat instantly disappeared, and reappeared at another location, next to many others. The amount there was less than the ones near the Atlus tower, however, that wasn't what caught Perseus interest. It was why that sudden heartbeat had instantly teleported to another location.

"...A Command Seal, eh?" chuckled Perseus as he memorized where the new heartbeat was at. "Grant me your wings... Talaria," murmured the Servant as he suddenly disappeared like a ghost. No, he didn't take spiritual form nor did he turn invisible, he was just moving so fast that it was nearly impossible to keep track of him.

The fastest Servant in the war, was now heading straight towards where Arturia, Felicia, The Black Knight, Vincent, and the Assassins were at.

Noah — With Roosevelt, Outside the Hospital

"Now what? Uh." the magus placed a hand to her chin in wonderment. What exactly was there to do? The Atlus Tower had exploded, and that would no doubt draw the attention of Servants and Masters everywhere. As she isn't an adept Magus in combat, and Roosevelt being an extremely young Heroic Spirit, they were destined to get crushed. "That... isn't a good idea. Running in is pretty reckless, plus I'm scared at the moment." at least she was brave enough to admit such. "I think we should... retreat for now, Rider, and find a place to shack up for the night..."

Jessica — With Archer

"I think I'll be fine, as long as I..." Jessica's pain slowly returned. The idealistic magus gripped at her stomach in an attempt to quell the pain, but it was for naught. The same numbness from before prevailed, slowly taking over her system. Begrudgingly, Jessica opened her mouth to speak, "Yes, Archer, please... I can't move for much longer." the girl struggled to remain on her feet.

Nero — With Yuna

"No, Praetor, we must make haste." Nero made good on what she had said. The blonde girl had placed her hands upon Yuna, and pulled her up into a bridal carry, like she did earlier in the day. With that, Nero had ran faster than any car, down the side walk and in a blur. Hopefully, Yuna could take the wind that assailed her.

Iskander — The King of Conquerors!

"Nonsense!" the bear of a man began his walk out of the building, making sure to maneuver under the doorways so Mirai didn't get hit in the head. "We right tonight, GIRL!" Iskander had placed Mirai on the ground right next to him with one hand. "HAAH!" Rider drew his sword and cleaved at open air. A bolt of lightning shot down from the sky as dark, ominous clouds had gathered.

The clacking of hooves, the squeak of wheels. The Gordius Wheel appeared, drew along by two Bulls of Heaven. A Noble Phantasm of majesty owned by only Iskander himself. The divine beasts came to a stop, their hooves embedding themselves in the concrete. Rider walked forward as he grabbed Mirai as if it was an after thought. He placed his Master just between the reins and himself, as if to protect her from falling off.

"AHAHA!" Rider lashed the reins, and the chariot moved. The two bulls ran, faster and faster as they ascended into the sky, hovering toward the ruins of the Atlus Building. Lightning arced from the chariot as it gathered more speed.

"Now, shall we greet our soon-to-be comrades, girl?!" Iskander sounded esctatic, even happy that this was happening!

Manaka — With Yami and Tamamo — Brunhild Bridges

"Let's head toward the park Saber, Caster!" Manaka said with a giggle of sheer glee. Ah, it was truly going to be a wonderful night. Manaka ran as fast as she could, beforing turning one last glance at Saber. "Come on, what are you two waiting for?~"

Sometimes, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you aren't right.

Vincent cursed as their discussion was cut short when a Servant seemingly popped out of nowhere and proceeded to attack.

"Saber!"

Goddamnit, he really did have the worst luck possible!

Kay

"Whatever you say. Fair warning, though. I was at the Spire when I was attacked. We might run into the Archer trying to finish the job.."

He picked her up, bridal-style.

"Let's go, then!"

Mike

Another hour later, Mike had brought two more sacrifices to the base. One was a young businesswoman, someone in Emilia Archibald's payroll. The other was a middle-aged man, a complete nobody it seemed..

"Eat up, Superman! I still have some use for them afterwards!"

Aaron Skyfield

What was this? Who were these Servants gathered here at the ruins of the tower? Why were they ignoring him?

Aaron's mind raced and he stepped forward. With the first step, his leg broke, and he fell to the ground with a curse. Searing pain filled his lower body as the bone was knitted together, remade stronger than before. He stood, flexing and relaxing his muscles, wincing as the tendons snapped and laughing as they reformed.

This wasn't the perfection he wanted. He could see this outcome. He could see it already. Injury after injury breaking him down, and when reshaped, an ugly mass of flesh. No, this was perfection, but the wrong kind.

And so, these Servants and Masters were still his enemy. He couldn't feel Diomedes. That contract was lost to him. But why did he need a Servant when he was strong enough already. He performed a simple spell, but his newly created prana reserves amplified it to levels that he could have only dreamed of before. His body was reinforced, and the prey was before him.

Shapur rematerializes and then kills his two new food items as quickly and painlessly as possible, by breaking their necks. After devouring their souls; most of his internal injuries had now healed to the point that they would not interfere with his ability to fight.

"Thank you for the meals master."

Shameless Self-promotion ho!

The Black Knight

The knight assumed a defensive position, blocking her blade just inches from her minion.

"Heh. Well this is certainly odd. A king attacking a wounded peasant who can't even defend himself. I have to say, I thought you prided yourself on having honor. But I guess I was wrong!"

She shoved the king's blade to the side, and raised her own to attack, slamming it down on the King of Knights.

Archer

Archer grinned. "Finally regretting that reckless streak, are we? Oh well. I'm not complaining. It makes your suicidal ass easier to guard."

He picked her up, and retreated. He had wanted to finish off the smug blue bastard who'd punched him earlier, but he could wait. Certain things, like his Master's health, took priority.

He looked at her. She was on the verge of passing out after what she'd gone through today. It looked almost like she was suffering the strain brought on by reinforcement magic... no. That wasn't it. The signs were all wrong. Nothing matched up. He didn'tknow what this was. But it couldn't be good.

Damn you, you fool girl.

Emilia Archibald

Even as inexperienced a magus as she was, Emilia could feel the surge of rising prana emanating from the beach. The place had become densely packed with mana. It was almost as if...

A Noble Phantasm.

While Enkidu was busy with his job, she took out her phone. "Yes, commander? Send another team to the beach. I want you to investigate something. No, I don't care if you haven't heard back from them yet, just send more! In fact, if you do hear back from them, they are to be executed unless they report two confirmed kills. Do you understand, commander?"

She snapped the phone shut. Had they all died? It was likely. Damn. She was hoping they could at least take out the Masters. So hard to find good help these days...

Another Team of Poor Unfortunate Fools

The strike team arrived at the beach by boat, submerging themselves a ways off the coastline and swimming the rest of the way there, reappearing on the shore like ghosts.

They readied their guns. One nodded to the other, and removed his rebreather. "Spread out."

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial
