Um nit-pick but I think "Metahuman" doesn't necessarily jibe with the setting. I think it gets it's origin in Shadow Run where Elfs and Dragons and so on are literally mutated Humans as opposed to distinct species who evovled [or were created. I'm not nitpicking cosmology] separately. Linguistically, Meta would imply that they're either "Before Humanity" [And not in the sense of they were here first, that would be Pre] or "Improved Humans" [which Shadowrun uses]. I think it'd make more sense to use something like Non-Humans, Natives, Aboringals, First Nations would probably be preferable.
Also, "fantastic racism" which was used before definitely doesn't work in this setting since Elves and Dwarves aren't fantastic.
Just if we're nitpicking on terms.

Yeah, I took the "metahuman" term from Shadowrun, another setting which had humans and elves and dwarves together in a modern setting. They weren't exactly mutants or anything sciencey though, they were all extinct races from antiquity that somehow came back to Earth after 2012, born from human parents. Neohumans isn't a bad term though. It implies that the elves and dwarves and such are "new" humans who have been integrated into human society.
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"No nobility, just a lot of exploiters.
History Lesson!
Once upon a time, there was a crescent shaped land called Laodicea. It was a land of varying climates and terrains filled with many different peoples. From the elves in their grant cities deep in the forests to the centaurs roaming the plains in large tribes. It was a simple place, the kings ruled, the peasants worked, the wizards did this or that. Kingdoms fought for glory or land. Swords and sorcery decided conflicts. But all in all, it wasn't that bad a place to live.
That changed when the humans arrived from across the ocean in the east. The lands across the sea lacked magic but had developed at a much faster rate. When they discovered Laodicea, they saw a wild and untamed land with resources to make them rich and powerful. It was also filled with many strange primitives which no one had ever seen before. Initially seeking peaceful terms with the natives, the human nations set up trading posts and limited their new colonial outposts to unused land. But rivalries between the humans, coupled with a general disdain for the primitive non-humans, led to them seeking as much land as possible before other nations seized it first. Unfair treaties, manipulation of native affairs, and outright wars of conquest led to the weaker and divided non-human nations losing their homes. The bows and swords proved no match to the rifle and machine gun. The magic shields and fireballs were overwhelmed by vehicles and artillery. Though some nations fought hard, there was no great climactic battle that sealed their fate, only a gradual loss of free lands. Eventually, the humans controlled almost all the land.
One such human nation is Unidos, which now controls most of the lower end of the continent, an area they named Saturn. Unidos took over many nations and peoples, and sought to impose their power on the fallen and ensure weakness by eradicating as much of the non-human cultures as possible. Most drastically, the attempt to eradicate magic, bringing the non-humans to a lower level then the technological advance conquerors. These days, almost no one can speak the language of their ancestors. The why life worked also changed greatly when Unidos brought industry to the continent. The fantasy world underwent an industrial revolution, with the people scrambling to catch up and survive.
Saturn is one of the human colonies, for Unidos brought their own people who sought new lives and possible fortunes to live there as well. The city of the same name on the east coast serves as the capital. Brian Cortez is the current governor. The military is in the midst of a campaign to take the mountains in the west from the last holdouts on Laodicea, the dragon nation of the Eversnow Mountains.
If you want or need more specific details, go right ahead as ask me so I can post the answer for everyone to see.

Tails Doll: Outside of the city is actually pretty rocky. The city itself located where the bluffs start sloping down to beaches. The city is actually overlooked by a fort on the bluff. The roads lead to other Unidos cities. Saturn City is the largest city in the colony with a population of 1,200,000. About 4/5 of that is non-humans.
Saturn City is built on what used to be part of two different dwarf kingdoms. The island where the minotaurs were originally from is also nearby.
It is a little confusing though, since the starting material specifically said that no colonies had ever tried to start a revolution before, yet some R Pers posts have mentioned revolts and uprisings as well as attempts at being revolutionaries...

Speaking of early weirdness, Insano, I don't think frequent use of "Dude" is appropriate for this time period.
