Alright, I have a life in mind now. Hmmm Parable, how are you handling the revolution? Like... it hasn't started yet? There is an underground movement already afoot? Is the meeting in the pub the start of everything?

From a conversation with another player.

At the start of the game, nothing more then talk has arisen. The pub meeting is for radicals and conservatives to share their views, for you guys to choose a side or make your sympathies known. As far as the majority of humanity is concerned, non-humans are a bunch of ignorant barbarians grateful for humans bringing civilization to them. Think South Africa under apartheid or Korea under Japanese rule.

You've been under humans for 70 years. No colony has ever revolted against a mother country in the history of the world. Peaceful or violent, you guys are going into this blind.

I'm out of state right now so I won't be able to post till tonight. Just wanted to tell you so you don't think I've dropped out.

There's not that much pressure to post quick, do it within the week and no one will think you're a write off.

Also, Illtyd looking to the person next to him is pretty much open invite for anyone who cares to have their character be the lucky fellow at the bar drinking next to him.

Yeah, no worries. I'm not moving anything until a few more people post or midnight hits. Whichever comes first.

If no one takes Faux up on his offer then Taugyr will magically be the one Illtyd is talking about.

Hmm...I wonder how much magic Rudy is capable of at this point...

Would depend on how long he's studied, how good a learner he is, how good his materials are, and how good his teacher is.

I think it would be a mistake not to include Halflings and Gnomes at some point in this RP.

Unfortunately they don't meet the RP's height requirements: You must be at least this tall to be oppressed by the humans.

Edit: Also, Insano, exact words and all is cute, but you killed my hook for interaction with other characters and tried to make my character look stupid. If you're not going to have your character interact with mine, don't try to cut my hooks for interaction with others.

Well, at the least that kind of thing will get Matthew just as disliked. Trying to think if I should lower Rudolph's age to sixteen...

He seems a bit naive so it could work but then it's sort of a question of why no one would stop him from going to a bar on the other side of town.

At least if he's older it's his reponsibility and he's taking the risk, if he's only 16, I'd sort of wonder.

Edit: Also, if he's a few years younger, his magic ability probably decreases dramatically. It's not like he picked this up off his parents or learnt it in school or anything, he probably picked up a book at twelve at the absolute earliest. And it probably takes two or three years even for a prodigy to graduate from card tricks. So I think every year is sort of essential.

@Faux: Sorry about that. Couldn't think of any way to introduce myself without a little sarcasm.

At least we're all interacting now, right?

[up][up]You do make a good point. Alright, he stays the same age. I might just have him be Older Than He Looks to a degree.

Also still haven't specified what exactly his parents do.

Sorry for the delay. Post coming in now.

Keeping Rudolph's age where it is a good idea. As it is, circumstances make him way behind any other magic student his age would be 70 years ago. And being 18 doesn't make him particularly advanced anyway.

Daltar, Eruiel description is great except for one tiny detail. You had her described as having slightly pale skin. Given the city conditions, elves normally have really pale skin, almost sickly so.

Apparently Rudolph can communicate solely through a dimension of dramatics and ham, and it's up to Matthew to state what he means in a far more down to earth and ordinary manner.

Done. Matthew speaks out a little less dramatically, and adds his own opinion of things.

I'm guessing that elves and dryads are harmed by air pollution more than the other races.

Someone think up a better name then non-humans or metahumans for the non-humans and meta-humans. Something to rally to. Make them united and proud.

They could take up the designation of Fair Folk or Fae if they wanted, seeing as its not occupied. Seelie would actually make a decent Resistance name.
