I hope you've seen that Mister Rogers Remixed video (if not, search "garden of your mind", because it is awesome. This is the channel that produced it. And wow. PBS GETS the internet.
I'm not going to comment on whether or not I agree with everything they say/do, but I know that I respect PBS so much more for actually understanding the internet, and what we love, instead of trying to shoehorn in what they think it is. Seriously, their shows are... well... what I would expect if you put people who love the internet and love PBS together.
Applause for you, PBS. For trying, and succeeding.
Oh right, the shows:
Okay, we have Off Book which is basically taking the old pbs "Interviews, examples, and classy music in the background" approach to analyzing things, but doing it to things like fanfiction, lego art, and GI Fs.
We have Idea Channel, where a fellow spouts interesting ideas about things. Mainly internet things. For example, is Mario surrealist art? Or are is MLP masculine? Not very... "pbs", I guess, but still manages to mix history and intellectualism into pop-internet-culture.
We have National Film Society, which is PBS's first third party show. They saw these guys, and for some reason, decided to slap their name on them. And suddenly, there was the strange jump in production values.
Lastly (among the channels that currently have more than two shows) we have Sound Tracks Quick Hits, essentially a series of performances by musicians, and interviews with them. Interesting in that there is no specific genres.
