The first female friend the female lead makes has already kissed the male lead. I'm going to assume they dated for a while.
Also, apparently the male lead has kissed every girl in school except for the girl he had a crush on in middle school (who is not the female lead).
The female rival introduced in third episode already had sex with him. Or heavy petting at the very least.
He walks through a street, girls are gawking at him. Model/entertainment scout tries to recruit him.
Yup, I'm so amused right now that Alpha types so popular in shoujo/josei would be the males most likely to have harems.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.I see. So you do like the guy then?
He doesn't come off as an annoying jock, a womaniser, excessively rapey or a douchebag?
A lot of harem shows prefer the nice guy, almost to the point of making him a Chaste Hero or Oblivious to Love (with notably good and bad exceptions).

Right now, I'm trying to not (facepalm) at how the male lead is portrayed.
He can't be Oblivious to Love since the girls are confessing outright or asking him out straight away. Definitely not a Chaste Hero either, and yet he's not considered a (naughty) Lady Killer for having kissed all the girls in school. Still apparently the sort of boy you want to bring home to meet the parents.
He's a nice guy with a harem (already). No wonder I was reminded of harems.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Ah no, I'm not -that- interested. Just too much brain vomit right now cause episode 3 was quite a (good) surprise after episode 2 which was a ?!? surprise. Also, the male lead is like a hybrid.
Anyway, still about a dozen Fall 2012 anime on watchlist, and Tonari is still my fave.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Anyone still watching Code Breaker? I'm watching mostly because I've read the manga and want to know what unbiased people think of the 3rd episode.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!![]()
Unfortunately, I can't help with that a lot. I started out with an Archive Binge of the manga and almost dropped it a couple of times. I must say, I don't remember the classmate reactions being so over the top and watching the anime has made me realize how much time it took to introduce the other important (and more interesting) characters. And since most of the interest comes from the character interactions...
Now that there are 3 episodes, there is enough to give you an idea if you will have any continuing interest in it.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I have tried to read the manga once before already. Maybe it was a year or two ago. I've practically forgotten most of it.
Most of my interest is centered on the female lead. When I watched episode 1, I felt excited - she was such a proactive (female) character. I actually wondered why I had stopped reading the manga.
Then, I remembered why. (sound of despair) Right now, I'm (trying to keep) watching the anime because of her and DEFINITELY NOT cause of the cast of pretty boys.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.I'm watching it in synch with the current season of Dexter, so all I can think about is how it's basically Dexter Season 7: The Anime.
It's the same basic dialogue about necessary vigilante justice, but with anime tropes like magical flames, high school kids, and Not Blood Related Incest Yay.
Oh, wait, no, the Incest Yay ended up in Dexter. WTF?

The cute dogs annoy me in Code:Breaker for some reason.
Episode 3 was good. I read the first two volumes of the manga before Tokyopop stopped and I have always had mixed feelings about it (I am not a fan of the Mood Whiplash, although that doesn’t seem as bad in the anime for some reason) ) but I am enjoying the anime somewhat. I would probably give it a C+ or a B-

I can't decide whether or not to watch the second and third episodes of Sukitte Iinayo.
I mean, the first episode was a masterpiece in cinematography, pacing, and artwork. It had it's weak spots occasionally, but I can't begin to describe how awestruck I am in it's beauty. They should have sent a poet—and people teleported! They teleported! That alone made the episode worth watching.
The only snag is that I don't actually like the series. At all. I don't know if I can sit through it again, even if this time it's presented by some sort of cinematic genius.
Fire, air, water, earth...legend has it that when these four elements are gathered, they will form the fifth element...boron.![]()
The second and third episodes can match up to the first, and the ED is still wonderful.
However, it's a romance/drama through and through (and one that does it well— of note is how it develops romantic rivals and how it delves into stuff like sex) so if you're not interested in that it's probably better to not continue.
If you watch the 2nd episode and are turned off by the ending, I recommend watching the third episode at least, which imo - redeems how the 2nd episode ended.
I'd say that this series is more "adult" than Tonari in terms of sex and relationships. Definitely not as funny and the characters are not as easy to be fond of.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Ah, you guys misunderstand. I read the manga to get a good grasp on what the anime would be like, and didn't like it at all. There's nothing truly offensive about episode one, but the main appeal to me was the camera work and several artistic techniques the director used (Not just limited to the animation). I don't think I'll watch the rest of the anime, regardless of how much of a fanboy I am for the cinematography.
Fire, air, water, earth...legend has it that when these four elements are gathered, they will form the fifth element...boron.Now for my take on Code: Breaker after watching episode 3:
- I'm most entertained by the misunderstandings about Ogami and Sakurakouji's relationship. Okay, it was the only part of the episode that I actually enjoyed somewhat.
- The action part isn't doing it for me, but that might be because it's more of one-sided slaughter at this stage. The powers are the same old ones and it's not even using them in new ways.
- I really don't like how this show keeps repeating that "eye for an eye" mantra. It doesn't feel ominous, just preachy. It got especially grating when Ogami just kept repeating the word "evil" over and over again. All in all this show is the wrong flavor of anvilicious.
- The cinematography, atmosphere, etc. are unremarkable.
- Most of all, I don't like how it "flows". It just feels like it has a checklist of Plot Thingies and it's methodically checking them off one by one. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly.
Verdict: Gonna give it 2 - 5 more episodes before I think about dropping it. I realize we're not at the meat of the story yet. I'm also not a stranger to shows that take a while to really get going.
I do have to note that I honestly cannot see... potential in this show. It's so average it's boring.

Just because I can't see the potential doesn't mean it isn't there.
I go by either a half-episode-count or a five-episode rule, depending on which would be longer for a particular show. And in Code:Breaker's case it's clear we're not at the meat of the story yet, so I'll at least wait for that.
I also have to point out that I'm the guy who stuck with all 12 episodes of Another despite hating almost every second of it.
I'm a masochist aren't I

Even then that sounds like more of a Love Triangle (if there are only two serious contenders) which is more a shoujo thing.
