So, I don't get what's with all of you who don't like the first episode of Robotics Notes, but I thought it was great. Sure, it was nothing particularly spectacular yet, but it shows promise, and Akiho is a fun character, too.
Then again, maybe I just have no expectations of this one based on Steins Gate, so I'm just enjoying it for what it is.
I found Akiho intensely annoying, and didn't care for any of the other characters either. Also I'm not super-fond of giant robots, made worse by greatly disliking the aesthetic the robots here have
And I assure you that I am not suffering from Steins Gate raising my expectations
I haven't watched any of the ; stuff before, so I have no expectations. Robotics;Notes is just making no impression on me. At least Code:Breaker left me with dislike.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer
I don't think that myself. I would have said it was simply Kick the Dog taken to it's logical extreme.
As for Robotics;Notes, well I didn't enjoy the first episode and I saw nothing that really hinted the future episodes would be different. If you liked the first episode then it's pretty likely you'll enjoy the series.
New Jojos Bizarre Adventure episode is out.
I really like the opening for this episode.
Watch SymphogearIf anyone has the slightest interest in Code Breaker, watch the first 2 episodes back-to-back (as well as the bits after the credits). I'm not saying that the 2nd episode is tons better, but both are needed to finish the "intro" to the series.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Hmm... So over-the-top with the drama and comedy (sometimes at the same time) that it crosses a line and you don't know how to react?
At least that is the first possible explanation that popped to mind. It doesn't help that the artists are matching the relatively different art-style of the manga instead of "normalizing" it a bit. I didn't notice in in the manga, but the anime just looks a little off.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Heroes prefer hammers huh... Isn't there single trope that would be played straight?
Little Busters 2 - couldn't finish the episode
Code: Breaker 2 - the nearly all bishonen OP and ED is now annoying me, I like Sakura's parents (I'm glad she ain't an orphan or abandoned). I will just ship Sakura/Aoba. (sighs) I like Sakura as she is right now despite that she's a bit too bullheaded and idealistic. Will probably drop this by third episode.
Suki-tte Ii Na Yo. 2 - ?!?!? Oi, this is going -too- fast. Though it's sorta good that they are being honest right away instead of dawdling with UST, I guess...
Ixion Saga: Dimension Transfer 2 - H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S., including the ED, especially the ED! All main "good" characters as well as the "villains" are growing on me. I look forward to next episode!
Magi 2 - I hate someone in this episode very very much.
Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun 3 - HUGS THIS SERIES. There was so much story crammed into episode 3! I could tell that the anime staff wasn't skimping at all, story-wise or art-wise. Made me want to reread the manga! This is my current numero uno pick of the Fall 2012 line-up.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Posting here since I haven't found a Suki-tte Ii Na Yo. thread.
Episode 2 was ?!? to me (relationship developing to that stage seemed too fast), but episode 3 was better and finally I have reason to like the male lead other than that he's a nice guy. (Just a nice guy, not the other kind of "nice guy".
I'm feeling a tad frustrated with the female lead cause I tend to prefer confident character type rather than the insecure character type (male or female); however, she's also (very) honest and tells other people what's on her mind in a polite non-confrontational way, not direct forceful (like for example Naruto). She's "tactful insecure but can communicate clearly" rather than "so shy can't even talk to others without stuttering". (For the record, I like Hyuuga Hinata a lot.)
A BIG plus for this show is that at least two (so far) rival female characters have been developed as characters, and especially not just portrayed as irredeemable bitches to be beaten by the heroine in her quest for love. (THANK GOD.) These girls also have admirers of their own, not just their own side-stories.
Now, I wouldn't exactly rec this (yet). For me, it's not like Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun (which is WOW!), but it's much better than I expected, especially after the ?!? episode 2.
Despite being shoujo (or josei) [this is shoujo, right?), it actually feels like part-harem (not a reverse harem) cause the guy has already 1, 2, 3, 4 named female characters interested/was interested in him, and I've lost count of the number of background female characters who want him as their boyfriend.

Yeah, he's the "the fairest" boy, but emphasis is also made that girls like him so much cause he's "genuinely" nice. I don't remember if there's mention of whether or not he's loaded with cash.
In the third episode, for example, it's shown why a female rival wants him back. And it's not cause he's so handsome, so rich, so popular. Also not cause he's so nice. Her reasons (for interfering) actually introduces/develops her own character, not just to provide an obstacle for the Official Couple.
Forgot to mention that it felt like a harem because the female rivals are not being demonized, yet anyway. In the case of episode 3, I like the female rival, even more than the female lead (currently). Have no idea if that's what the mangaka intended, but she has considerable character development in such a short segment.
It's not as rec-able as Tonari, which I honestly think boys would enjoy as much as girls would, but episode 3 would (I think) make it easier for male viewers to relate to the male lead (and not only cause he's like a harem lead, lol). There's some back story for the guy in episode 3 which I think makes him less like the Alpha type male leads which dominate shoujo and josei.
As for the female lead, were not for her (refreshing) honesty, I would have a harder time getting into this story. It is because of her (quiet) directness that the story/relationships are quickly moving along (not just chockful of UST). In this sense, it's a bit like Tonari, just not funny.
/end brain vomit
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.

Well like I've been saying, I'm now of the opinion that withholding information doesn't make a show clever. Sometimes it's just obtuse or copying better shows.
There's also nothing inherently less clever about shows you can understand completely from the start either.
