Archer and mage sounds good, it's what I remember doing. It was still hard though.

I have Elise pwning the cannon for the first few turns with her Gust Bow+5, while a priestess spams Book of Laura to balance the cannon in terms of damage output. In the end it worked fine, and Giulio's broken Gungnir took care of the enemies.

Pamela as a protag would be kinda cool. I'm not the biggest Pamela fan, but she certainly shows her face in many of the dept. heaven games. It'd probably be a Union game, or some sort of DLC/post game mission if it wasn't a union game.
Also, I just got an atlus faithful email saying that a bunch of atlus's psn games are half off for the month
In the case of Dept. Heaven, that means 4.99 Riviera, 4.99 Yggdra Union, and 7.49 Knights in the Nightmare. (Gungnir isn't one, most probably since it just came out). I already own Kit N and YU, but I MAY consider Riviera at that price (on one hand, as I said earlier, I don't care for Riviera that much, on the other hand...5 bucks)
I personally have my eyes more on 7.49 Class of Heroes. MAYBE the 9.99 Persona 3 Portable too (I already own FES)

Still, this is making wrong impression for me! I mean normally Durant doesn't come off as Bishounen that much (unlike Roswell)...but in this case...it's just...too much like Namiko!

Oh wow, that's a blast from the past. Seems like the PC port is getting quite a bit of quality-of-life changes as well.
OK, GameFAQs suggests using an archer and mages to destroy the cannon first.
My archer is injured, but I guess he can limp onto the field for this one.
