If it's true, I hope Ron Pearlman comes back. If they're going to ruin people's childhoods, they might as well go whole hog.

This sort of thing is why I called all y'alls banworthy things I'm not going to say again. "Ruin people's childhoods", Jesus fucking Christ...

Were true fans who even watched the OS even children?

I was being facetious. I can understand people being upset at characters they love being misportrayed, but people crying "They ruined my childhood!" always seems overly dramatic.

Seriously, for really realz, nothing can “ruin your childhood" after it's aleady passed. People can't punch, piss, or verbally wrong it to it's “face."

Your childhood is just memories, and memories are just stories we tell ourselves. So that we can grow from them.

If you don't like TTG then it's a mild (and avoidable) annoyance to your adult life. Anyone who says that it “ruined" their childhood is being far to dramatic. As someone who's watched all three TMNT cartoons I can safely say I have to deal with this kind of thing a lot.

I have to agree, if a show like this is enough to ruin your memories of the old show, they weren't that good to begin with.

Unless your childhood was actually being one of the extras on the series and you got fired from the "go" series, nothing has happened to your childhood.

For what it's worth, as critical as I am of this show, the original series was more "Hit & Miss" than most will admit, especially since it was more prone to Mood Whiplash.

Ugh. You have my sympathy.

I agree. I don't mind people getting comedy in my action, but the show had problems balancing the serious aspects with the comedic ones, and the tone could be really uneven.

Ravager, even in TTG form, is the coolest character so far in the show, in skill set, but not much in attitude. pretty generic to Jinx's.

Also, is it just me, or did the fight scene seem similar to those from Panty And Stocking?

I like that they refer to her as Rose Wilson more than Ravager, and that there was an oblique reference to Slade.

Wouldn't it be tragic if Slade does appear, and we end up finding out more about him then we ever did in the original show?

If I know this show, it would be something to make him "more Wholesome", like NOT CALLING HIM DEATHSTROKE and make him into a sitcom father, like Trigon.

This is a show where the heroes have had each other killed or hideously mutilated and laughed at a teammate in his deathbed. Wholesome, my butt. They won't call him Deathstroke yet, but I suspect more because of a sense of tradition than out of any wholesomeness. And CN has shown it can throw the name around, twice, in YJ and BTB.

[up][up][up]There's really nothing to "find out" about him. He already has a history in the comics.

Loved the "defeating the 2cool4school villain with sincere, unironic emotions" angle. Nice twist on The Power of Friendship.

The "Knock a villain" display used the Batman Returns designs for Catwoman and the Penguin, as well as the Heath Ledger version of the Joker. Interesting detail.

Again, parroting 'It's a comedy' isn't a magical excuse for any shortcomings. So what? Unwholesome comedy is still unwholesome.

Why should it be wholesome? Are you Mr. Enter?

That last episode was pretty impressive in the action sequence in addition to including Ravager.

[up][up][up]No but doesn't mean we are simple minded children or that we should just accept garbage.

If you use comedy as an excuse then your okay with the mentality that garbage and terrible writing is justified.

Seriously chill out before you get that 'bullying in cartoons forum treatment' XD

Kids are subjective to actually be exposed to good writing and char. development, but they have not cried out for it. And Executives don't give two shits.

Doesn't mean there shouldn't be effort put into some of the shows. What ever happened to good programming or bothering to educate the kids or just decent programming.

It doesn't have to be educational or four star writing just have it be decent.
