UA 3 seems to have the most chill X-Men possible to make up for the comics. They’re actually kind of happy Deadpool is over to make tacos and bummed out when the Brotherhood’s attack ruins them.

I mean, the fact they'd even invite Deadpool proves that.
Though he must also make some fucking boss tacos.
One Strip! One Strip! Its funny how Deadpool has since shifted from unstable psychopath to wacky lunatic.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Technically, Black Widow and Nick Fury were both Badass Normals as originally characterized. The Retcons that they were enhanced were only to justify their longevity, considering their origins, in the framework of Marvel's Comic-Book Time. With Nick, it was to justify him still being spry in the 1980s despite being a World War II vet, while with Natasha it was to justify her still being spry in the 2010s despite being a former Soviet agent.
So, you can still consider them Badass Normals by dint of that being their characterization as originally conceived.
Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time.Yeah, Hank seems to have become the local amoral, coldly pragmatic genius somehow, kinda like Ozymandias from Watchmen. Dunno where it came from but the earliest place I remember this characterization was the “Ghost Box” arc in Astonishing after M-Day, where he Kill Sat’d an alternate Earth to prevent an invasion, explicitly killing not just the bad guys but every living thing within ten miles of their base.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Did he eat Dark Beast and absorb his douchebaggery?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOf all the retcons characters get to explain their derailment, we still don't have one for Beast.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I was surprised to find this in the third issue of New Warriors from 2014◊. Real Simpsons moment here.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I loved that volume, wish it continued…
Some Marvel heroes with no powers
- Alex Wilder
- Black Cat (*)
- Elektra (not sure)
- Gertrude Yorkes
- Jemma Simmons
- Leo Fitz
- Maria Hill
- Melinda May
- Mockingbird (*)
- Patsy Walker (*)
- Phil Coulson
- Power Princess from Earth-712 (Squadron Supreme (2015))
Those with (*) started without powers, but nowadays do have powers. Patsy started in "Millie the Model", a romance comic with no superpowers, before becoming Hellcat.
Ultimate Secret WarsA lot of Badass Normal superheroes are from the Golden Age (or are legacies of/supporting characters to Golden Age heroes) when a lot of the heroes being created were just standard pulp detective heroes wearing a costume. Since DC has a lot more Golden Age heroes in its portfolio than Marvel does, it's got a lot more Badass Normals.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoPhil Coulson doesn't count since a) he's not really a superhero, just a regular guy who happens to work with them on occasion and b) he's not a hero period — there's a reason he ended up in Hell.
Alex Wilder's also not a hero, nor is he exactly normal anymore. He's a revenant zombie now.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI don't think Elektra would qualify as a badass normal either given her Ki Manipulation and Supernatural Martial Arts abilities.
And how heroic she is depends on the writer.
There is also Shang-Chi, who jumps between really good kung fu and having some mystic stuff going on aside from the kung fu.

Wake me up at your own risk. It's interesting that Marvel is often (inaccurately) viewed as the "relatable" alternative to DC despite having fewer non-powered heroes.
Marvel's more "relatable" since it gives its heroes more realistic problems and failings, superpowers or not. Tony Stark's struggle with alcoholism is one example, as is the Fantastic Four's familial dysfunction. And of course there's Peter Parker, who shows that superpowers don't really help one deal with the problems of ordinary life.

Disgusted, but not surprisedDaniel Espinoza also ended up in Hell, so I prefer to decide by myself who is and who isn't a good guy, and screw the celestials.
Ultimate Secret WarsPhil Coulson went to Hell for waterboarding prisoners.
He earned his place there.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI don’t think the Celestials are sending people to hell. They’re too busy destroying entire populations with a big thumbs down

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThey're not really doing that right now either. They're a bit busy being dead, assuming they didn't survive what Knull did to them.

Disgusted, but not surprisedElektra has ki manipulation powers?
I know she got revived by the hand, but ki powers is new with her.
How long has that been a thing?
One Strip! One Strip! The resurrection itself is what empowered her since it gave her a connection to the Hand's demonic master the Beast.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI didn’t know that Hank McCoy commanded the loyalty of ninjas
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
That's the real Beast my friends.
I hope we get him back one day.
The tipping point seems to be the aftermath of Avengers vs Xmen when Hank pulled his past self and the rest of the team into the future. After than, he just got worse and worse.
One Strip! One Strip!
