Re: Bendis, I actually think he would do a good job with the FF, I think that’s more in his forte. I had to drop his Superman because it was meandering, though I did like Clark and Lois’s relationship and of course the teen books he’s writing are good.
I love Al Ewing's synopses of Immortal Hulk #35 and #36:
Here is #35:
- The war with the Minotaur is over — and a grateful humanity knows who saved them all.
- Can Shadow Base come out of the shadows? Can the world believe in Bruce Banner?
- Can there be a happy ending... for the IMMORTAL HULK?

I wonder which Ghost Rider that is though.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Not sure how they got Immortal Hulk there considering his....current issues.
But I'm going to assume it's Robbie: because it's Fantastic Four / Avengers and if they use Robbie, then all four guys there have been both.
One Strip! One Strip! That doesn't look like Robbie, though. The skull is different and that's not the type of outfit he uses.
I'm gonna say he is Danny Ketch since it seems to be the original line-up and he is currently in his solo series.
Danny isn't a ghost rider at the moment. He got possessed by the spirit of retribution I think? Or some kind or armored not! Ghost rider who works for belasco
This Wednesday isn't just the second issue of X-Men/Fantastic Four, we're also getting Fantastic Four: Grimm Noir, which looks right up my alley. A detective noir one-shot featuring the ever-loving blue-eyed Thing? Yes please.
Question: What’s up with that “War of the Realms” thing?
If there's a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it. Toni MorrisonIt was a crossover that happened last year and now it's over. We have a page about here.
One of the better events in recent years really
Forever liveblogging the AvengersProbably because it had been carefully set up by Jason Aaron in the years prior, it wasn't just a crossover for crossover's sake. Aaron had been teasing the War of the Realms since at least the beginning of his Jane Foster Thor comic.
The major flaw I can point out is that for a worldwide invasion from five different realms aided and abetted by a mega corporation the focus did not really do that justice
Taking down Roxxon’s secret base got no tie ins. Enchantress’ new kingdom of the dead only got a few issues. Same for the trolls.
There was a disproportionate focus on fighting frost giants in America
But still a very good event with a lot of great moments
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's only a good event if you've been reading Aaron's Thor. (And even then I'm assuming.) If you haven't, then it's 7 or so issues containing copious amounts of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundReading just the main event book takes on the tone of a bard poetically recounting the events of the war in fairly shallow detail
It’s a solution to the problem of tie ins
If tie ins cover too much of the same material then it becomes unsatisfying to read them.
So the main book goes “hey all of this is going on if you’re interested in X there’s more detail in Y
I don’t mind that you have to read Aaron’s Thor run to best understand everything because it makes the event feel like the culmination of years of story and not something that’s become vitally important out of nowhere for five minutes
But yeah if you’re not interested in what’s been happening with Thor and Asgard then it’s not going to be satisfying
It’s kind of like the old X Men events where they were the culmination of years of buildup like Inferno or Fall of the Mutants or X-Tinction Agenda I guess
Except line wide
Forever liveblogging the Avengers...because it's an event comic and I shouldn't have to read a whole run of something I'm not interested in to appreciate it?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundSo you read every event comic, no matter if you're interested in it or not? I mean, if you aren't interested in Aaron's Thor, then it follows that you wouldn't be interested in War of the Realms, considering it's the climax to his entire run.
Again, it's like skipping Harry Potter Books 1-6 and only reading Book 7 and going "But why do I have to read those other books to get this one?"
You know you can just...not read an event, right?

It did impact line wide plus or minus most of X-Men so people that aren't necessarily interested in it would be exposed to it.
But I thought that it did an ok job referencing past events as relevant.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's not what I said and you know it.
Don't put words in my mouth.

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI liked the Superior Spider-Man tie-in where he teamed up with the West Coast Avengers. (I’m still mad about that. The book was so good, and they just threw it all away. I can’t even bring myself to buy the second trade paperback because of how it ended. #ElliotToliverDeservedBetter)
