Oh right, that makes sense.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Whatever happened to that moon girl cartoon?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHasn't been any news on it since February according to Google Search.
Moon Girl is still coming out, yes? From what I understand, Moon Girl and Ms. Marvel sell really well in trades and Marvel has a deal with Scholastic which basically keeps Moon Girl in print.
Moon Girl's comic is still ongoing yes. She also got a spinoff TPB about her crossover appearances.
In today’s Avengers we get the secret secret origin of Iron Fist
Fan Fei was charged with K’un L’un’s most heinous crime - TEACHING KUNG FU TO CAVEMEN - and was sentenced to be fed to the punishment dragon.
Which she punched to death
Nonplused at this breach of protocol the Thunderer rallied and changed the punishment to exile. Probably because they were out of punishment dragons and because they were reasonably afraid of someone that could kill a dragon in one punch, man.
Then a Mephisto snake told her she should rule the world so she punched his head off. So in a fit of petulance, he gave the Power Infinity Gem to a gorilla and told it to beat her up.
Later than that the Thunderer told her so could come back to K’un L’un if she swore to serve them forever because the punishment dragon respawned and they’re less angry about it now. She told him to screw off, she found some new friends and she’s going to help them get drunk and punch giant space gods to death.
So basically: rad af.
Although with all these rad side stories about Avengers BC and agents of wakanda, I feel like there’s not much momentum on the Avengers themselves. And Danny isn’t on the team so this feels cool but irrelevant.
Could be interspersed better basically.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhen most of your Avengers have their own damn books and you can't really do anything with most of them, focusing on characters you can do things with doesn't seem like such a bad compromise.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundAre we sure recreational drugs were not at all involved in the writing of this story?
That’s fair. And these digressions are entertaining
Actually aside from big movie popularity, that might be why T’Challa was made chairman. His book isn’t strictly about him I thiiink? (It’s in space in the great wakandan space empire) so there’s more leeway to have him as the active mover and shaker of the Avengers, while Tony, Carol, and Steve are busy with their solo work
No more than usual. The BC Avengers do involve a guy riding a flaming mammoth so that’s your baseline

Forever liveblogging the AvengersPlus the latter three have all been at war with each other at different points. Maybe they no longer consider themselves trustworthy to lead in any fashion.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't understand why the main Avengers team isn't made up from the same type of Avengers as 1 Million BC — then you would have Thor, Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Star Brand, and someone who has the Phoenix Force. I thought that's where they were going with Marvel Legacy #1, where Star Brand confronts Ghost Rider, but it wasn't. They just basically killed Star Brand for no reason (although, really, he could come back to life easily).

Maybe having one to one correlation would be too contrived unless there were a story reason. Maybe there is a story reason and the book is going to work up to that roster so it’s less obvious
I think the BC Avengers were just a worldbuilding aspect of the “AAAAAAAH GIANT SPACE GODS ARE GOONG TO KILL EARTH” starter arc so that team isn’t relevant so much as neat to learn about.
The actual series arc seems to be about unstable political situations with superpowers. Everyone fielding their own team to counter the Avengers, vampire civil wars, that sort of thing
It would be neat to see a Phoenix working in the Avengers circle. Although that might be tense after that whole dumb Avx thing
It’s such a different context than the Phoenix usually works in but with a lot of overlap vis asshole aliens

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, Jason Aaron already uses the Phoenix in his Thor book — future Thor fought a Phoenix Wolverine until they had to team up to fight a Star Brand-Iron Fist-Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Doom and then Wolverine gave the Phoenix to Thor to defeat Doom.
...Yes, that really was a sentence. You know, sometimes I think that Jason Aaron loves writing his Future Thor stories, as well as his 1 Million BC Avengers stories, just so he can do crazy shit like this.
I think Jason Aaron just loves saying "Screw it" to certain conventions of story telling and embraces the true stupidity of comic books.

Marvel is using Stan Lee’s account for PR announcements. I’m honestly sickened by it
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.Yeah, stop that.
Sheesh, imagine Nintendo using Iwata's account.
Where there's life, there's hope. Are you sure that's Marvel? I thought the only person who had access to Stan Lee's twitter account was Stan Lee Media.
Unlimited finally caught up to Infinity Countdown the last
And now I can see the Hank Pym thing everyone was talking about.
Oof, it bad
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah, part of me wonders if that’s gonna be some kind of fakeout. But it wouldn’t be totally out of the question for Hank to het unceremoniously offed like that.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]The next Daredevil series is coming from Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto. They talk about it!
I wish they'd bring back the Pet Avengers. They could add Pizza Dog and Tippy Toe to the roster, with Ratatoskr as the villain. It would be gold. GOLD!
I hope Marvel team-up ends up being a comic where Ms. Marvel teams up with various characters. I want to see her have all sorts of fun team-ups. Also, quite a busy month for her. Fighting aliens in her solo, doing whatever in Champions, teaming up with Spider-Man in Team-Up, teaming up with Shuri and Miles in Shuri, and fighting Morgan Le Fay in Marvel Rising. She's all over the place, which is cool for her.
My pull list for April is actually pretty big. Prisoner X #2, Champions #4, Hotshots #2, Marvel Team-Up #1, Spider-Gwen #7, Captain Marvel #4, Squirrel Girl #43, Wasp #6, X-23 #11, Nextgen #3, Nightcrawler #3, Ms. Marvel #2, Shuri #7, WCA #10, X-Tremists #3, Black Panther #11, Black Widow #4, Captain America #10, Ironheart #5, Marvel Rising #2, Moon Girl #42, Mr. and Mrs. #X 10, Thanos #1.
Squirrel Girl is literally the only War of the Realms comic I'm reading. Luckily, the solicit indicates it works fairly well as a stand-alone. There's also going to be a big last-page reveal, I'm really curious what it'll be.
And X-Tremists is going to be shipping Psylocke and Blob, which is really unexpected, but Leah Williams is phenomenal, so I'll trust her. Also, the cover for that issue is gorgeous.
