This thread's for talking about the Marvel Comics line, whether the comics are decades old or brand new.
As well as the superhero tales of the Marvel Universe, that also includes all the other things Marvel's done (Epic Comics, Icon Comics, Star Comics and all the rest), as well as the older stories by Atlas and Timely, the companies that later became Marvel.
Acquisitions like Malibu Comics and Miracleman are also on-topic, as are the licensed 20th Century Studios titles, the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Zoids and Transformers comics, and all of the comics created locally by regional imprints like Marvel UK and Marvel Italia.
- We have dedicated threads for some groups of titles (such as Spider-Man and the X-Men). You can still discuss them here, but you might want to use the more specific threads.
- We also have threads for Indiana Jones
, Star Wars
, Predator
and some of the other franchises. Sometimes it may be more useful to discuss the comics there rather than here — but they're still on-topic and there's no hard rule.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about them here.
Discussions that are only about Marvel adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics (e.g. if comparing Marvel to a DC story). When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).
So apparently,
they're making a Black Panther movie. Let's hope Hudlin is kept as far away as possible. On a related note, anyone think that the whole 'Super Hero that is also a King/Ruler' is kind of ridiculous? I mean where do heroes like Aquaman and T'Challa find the time to both lead a nation and go gallavanting on the other side of the globe?

Miracleman is a famous independent superhero, largely due to a run by Alan Moore, that Marvel got the rights to a few years back but hasn't used yet. Rumors attach Neil Gaiman's name to it, so needless to say a lot of people are looking forward to it.
The Reckoning War is an arc Dan Slott set up in his She-Hulk run but was taken of the book before he got a chance to implement. This hasn't stopped readers from speculating that he might get a chance to someday (after all, he's a much bigger name now) and some are even guessing it might be the same thing as the Ultron War.
Just found out about Avengers Arena. Have to ask. What the fuck is Darkhawk doing there? Hes too old, experienced and powerful to be in this thing. I mean hes Cosmic Level now. Unless of course this is Alexander Samuel the new Darkhawk who is completely awesome and no mention is made of Chris. Ever. Or it could just be another Raptor. Id like to see the Fraternity idea seen more.
Also Cammi is in this? The Cammi whose only noticible claim was owning Drax? Who is rehashing a 40 year old story but dumber in Assemble? Maybe is Skreet is still with her.

"KILLERS" is revealed. As many expected, it's Uncanny X-Force. It's going to be a female-focused book led by Psylocke, but the lineup just seems bizarre to me. Confirmed members are Storm (not really a "killer," although she did kill Marrow, sort of, in self-defense one), Spiral (definitely a killer, but typically a pure evil one), and Puck (...wha?), though they've said this isn't the entire roster.
Puck? Sweet. I love Puck. Psylocke and Storm are always cool, too. Be interesting to see Spiral as a sorta-hero for a little while.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. From what I read, Cable's team is found in the same area as a dead anti-mutant figure.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Avengers Academy was awesome this week. A lot of great characterization. Loved Finesse. I'm really sad that this book's ending. Even sadder that Mettle and Hazmat will be in that stupid Avengers Arena bullshit. Ugh. One of them isn't going to be surviving.
Also, X-Factor was awesome, as usual. Interesting development for Theresa. And she was kissed by the Morrigan. So that's something.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.December solicits
, yo. Seems like some cool stuff (except Avengers Arena). X-Men Legacy's in particular is intriguing in more ways than one.
I actually really like the solicit for Avenging Spider-Man #15. "Dell’otto drawing Devil Dinosaur? Done!"
That's the entire solicit.
Monica Rambeau's going to be in Captain Marvel?! Sweet!
Still, no news on the new teen book. Dammit.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Just saw the Point One teaser with Miss America punching Loki. Awesome.
Also, the one with Nova and . . . is that Diamondhead? That makes sense. Diamondhead was one of Richard Rider's earliest foes, and a persistent one.
But much more important is Kid Loki and Miss America. Yay. I am so hoping Finesse is added to that line-up. And maybe Spider-Girl, for maximum awesomosity. A guy can always dream.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.

I don't know who Miracleman is, and I don't know what the Reckoning War is, but I highly doubt it's Spider-man. I don't think that they are relaunching everything, and if they aren't relaunching Spider-man, then I don't think he would need a teaser.
I honestly hope that you're right. I love Kid!Loki.
