That was already up. Interesting... The yell when civilians are recruited sounded very familiar...

I have a message from another time...Ever since I've experienced the glory of Mad World and Infinite Space, Platinum Games is the kind of company that I always pay attention to no matter what.
And they never disappoint. This looks really, really cool.
Gamespot got a nice gameplay walkthrough with a representative of P*.
Edit: It takes a while to start, but it is indeed at the beginning of the video.

Umbran Climax◊.....Really?
This was just announced, and still just in it's Beta format, It'll look better later.
Watch SymphogearThis was obviously pre-Nibelheim.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI'm surprised I had to add this as another And The Fandom Rejoiced moment for the Wii U just now.
This game certainly intrigues me, as I'd expect of Platinum Games.
As for it supposedly looking bad...no, it's not Crysis, but it doesn't have to be. I actually kind of dig the art style. What matters is that the gameplay is enjoyable.

The worst complaints I've heard are:
1)"It looks like a Wii game." At worst; you can say that about the generic citizens. Everything else, while not mega-high budget, is definitely current gen. Especially in the case of the shifting landscape in that link I posted and those awesome giant robots.
2)"Bayonetta 2 got canceled to make this game." I fucking love bayonetta, but goodness gracious is this comment stupid as all hell. Most people who say this seem to be completely unable to grasp the idea that this could be a game Kamiya -gasp- actually wanted to make.

Umbran Climax◊Long story short: rabid, mindless fanboyism.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI know. Apparently Kamiya was getting some really stupid tweets from some people.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project"Looks like a Wii game". Means nothing to me, "looks like a Dream Cast Game" or "Looks like PS 2 game" might get my sympathy. The substantial difference is o an HD TV and most of those let you shrink the image anyway. Now resolution will be retained...but I'll stop preaching to the choir.
More important is now Nintendo and Sega both have published Platinum Games, now they can two different crossovers that don't involve Mario or Sonic(the other being Camelot).
Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack"...And I'll form the head!"
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada"We'll all form the head! And use it to spit fire or something!"
Apprently, it's a 1-game-pad experience.
Which strikes me as odd, because that trailer clearly showd multiple hero squads at once, acting independently.
Do you think this game's gonna have online co-op?
I have a message from another time...![]()
Apparently, that's how you block attacks.

Umbran Climax◊

Wow, If that's not a blatant Shout-Out/Call-Back to Viewtiful Joe as far as art goes, I don't know what is.
Keep it classy, Hideki Kamiya.
