Excellent! Say, I'm not entirely sure how to ask this, but I want my scion to play a sort of role in the community of the tribe, similar to a priest. I just like the idea of a god, read scion, who relates to his people, and was wanting to know if this is plausible.
Homes verses Moriarty, Aristotle versus MASHY-SPIKE-PLATE!Definitly. Since the tribes have no real god now but the Scion and the world is badly broken, taking a personal role is encouraged and, in fact, what I was hoping would happen.

Also, that post right there will probably be the only contribution I make to the thread for the night. Homework and stuff. See you, Holy Cowboy.
Also, maybe consider sending a PM to those who signed up all the way back in May 12.

No, but you derive less sustenance from it, having used up some divine essence in the miracle (represented by the loss of a few points). You can lose Faith if people believe in you less, but loss of Faith through other means doesnt effect how people see you (unless perhaps they notice your power dwindle, which may provoke a faith crisis). Using Faith for a Miracle may actually let you gain it back immediatly if the miracle is used to earn new converts.

While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.To put it another way: Godhood is constantly being generated but is subject to entropy. You dont recover all the divine power you put into a miracle (Faith loss) and if you lose followers you cant hold as much of it at once (also faith loss, for simplicity). Gaining followers lets you hold more (faith gain!) as does making your followers pull work harder by driving them to fanaticism.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail. This is reminding me of the Black and White game, but without the giant monster pets.
Anyway, I was looking back at the setting details in signups and I realized something: With things like robots and body-reviving nano machines, the pre-cataclysm days must've been pretty advanced. In which case, Eye is probably used to wielding guns. Good thing I left that vague, I guess.
That means... Adjustment period! Oh, this will be fun...

You are reading this.Hmm...maybe i left out the planar stuff in my re-write....
The time before the Cataclysm was everything. A multiverse of many worlds and settings, although most were not so advanced.
Broken Sky is all that remains of a hundred different realities.
Edit: I did include a bit. Heres the quote about the multiverse and why most high-tech setting stuff was lost.
"Once upon a time lived a multiverse. And then something very bad happened. The worlds were rent by silver claws and darkness and madness poured through. Many people died, particularly those of advanced civilizations that believed they could fight back. Many Gods died as well."
A very simple overview of the Cataclysm. Note that the Dead survived the end of their world via being noncombatant slaves. There masters, the ones with the actual tech, died off to the last.
He may know how to use a gun, but only War Machines have them anymore. Good luck getting any intact.

While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.No no, I know he's not going to be getting a gun easily, that was the point of the "adjustment period" comment. He'll need to get used to fighting with less advanced weapons.
EDIT: And him having "died" during the cataclysm is kinda a big point of his back story. So it works out, in my opinion.

The first post on the main thread has the following text:
The Scions begin akin to mid level D&D characters or low power superheroes. Creating a spring of fresh water is an effort (but no faith loss). Creating a lake or river is an expenditure of 1 to 3 faith depending upon the scale of the miracle. Creating an ocean is beyond them at this point.
No map because that apsect of the world is up to you. The starting land is about australia size, floats in the sky, and has no agreed upon name or definite features beyond what you describe. The rest of the world is floating islands as the players decide to find.
Sometimes I may post a specific region but mostly the world is yours to build via "discovering" what you want in your posts. Keeping in mind that this is a post-apocalypse world.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.Variable. Heres the quote from the sign-up thread world intro.
" Once upon a time lived a multiverse. And then something very bad happened. The worlds were rent by silver claws and darkness and madness poured through. Many people died, particularly those of advanced civilizations that believed they could fight back. Many Gods died as well. "
Minimalist, but it hits the setting (bits of everything) and tech level (varies, but high tech people tended to all die). It's minimalist intentionaly. God games are largely about world building.

Exactly as the title states it.

Had a good question, putting it here.
