I thought it never left because I remember seeing an anime around called "Kaijudo" that I thought was Duel Masters related, but I appear to have been wrong.

AKA The game that never took hold in the states so just went to Japan to go COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS! (Seriously, check out its wiki, it's clear they were able to keep it going so long by just having no sense of self-control, which is awesome.) Is back s Kaijudo, with REALLY similar mechanics. So, anybody thinking of getting back in now? (Man 2012 is the year of revival.O
