God how did I miss that particular bit of Fridge Horror?
A bit of symbolic Fridge Horror as well. Remember the image of Bill and the burning tree? What does Bill use to refer to Dipper? Pine Tree.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Who makes up the symbols, again?
What part of the episode was that?
Where did you get that title from?
Also, I suppose it's possible that the apocalypse will only begin next episode, and it's more of a gradual thing.
A reminder, I suppose...

Oh God! Natural light!1) This chart. Unconfirmed, Wendy is the ice and whether the glasses stand for Stanley.
◊
2) When Dipper and Pacifica encounter the lumberjack ghost in the hidden room right after her bursts out of the chart. Screenshots are limited at this point so I would actually really appreciate of someone would take one of this shot..
3)This source. Though the wiki hasn't listed one for the latter I admit.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
That source doesn't mention any "Return of the Gleeful", though.
Anyway, here's the picture of the llama
. Interesting caption. Anyone know who runs this tumblr?

Oh God! Natural light! You're right. The wiki seems to have realized this and fixed it. So never mind then. Same tumblr you got yours from, the offical tumblr.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.By the way, the time had less than 24 hours on it
, just in case you missed that.

Oh God! Natural light! The argument was whether the counter's saying 21 hours or 21 days. IIRC the seconds timer was counting down so it's likely the former and it makes Dipper's "Talk to me tommorrow" more ironic.
You know the only funny aspect of that image? McGucket fixed the laptop with scotch tape.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. Also, I don't htink what's going on with the laptop is an actual apocalyptic scenario, especially since McGucket doesn't actually what it is, only that it's a really big upcoming threat: he uses the phrase "the apocalypse or something" in exaggeration while panicking about it but doesn't actually know what it entails, only that it exists.
It's probably going to be really bad either way, though.

Mind you, it's 21 days for us, so...
Like I said, I think it'll be a sort of gradual thing. Who knows, maybe the town will get transported to some alternate dimension, or maybe the skies will turn red or something.
It'll be big, that's for sure.

Oh God! Natural light!Hang on...could the glasses on the wheel represent Mc Gucket?
Oh God! Natural light!Damn. Why did I screw up my math there?
And no. The glasses aren't remotely the same shape as either of the pairs of glasses Mc Gucket has worn. He wears rounded glasses while the cypher wheel depicts a rectangular pair.

I had to go back and rewatch that scene, but yeah there's the Llama. I'm kind of curious about what it all means. We know the symbols represent the characters, but is there anything else to it? Do they reflect specific roles? Are they meant to be 'sacrifices' to summon Bill to the physical world (and kick start the Apocalypse) or are they the ones needed to banish/seal him away? I can see them functioning as both.

Ah, so they are.
I had just thought that maybe this apocalypse will take everyone aside from the people represented on the wheel out of the equation somehow (though in what way I have no idea), but I wouldn't think that Mc Gucket would vanish from importance like that...
Sacrifices? Reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist. Was makes these people so special, anyway?

Oh God! Natural light!I'm guessing they're tied to the disaster Bill's aiming for. If they were fated to stop him, then there would be no reason to not kill Dipper once he had complete control of his body.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
I figured, but why them?
Anyway, quite the Scare Chord at the end of the episode. Anyone know what the cryptogram during the credits says?

Oh God! Natural light!I have no idea what's connecting any of them to Cipher, in honest. I'm curious what the writers will come up with.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.

Well...that was dark.
The bell thing reminded me of that one episode of Over The Garden Wall. "The ringing of the bell commands you..."
I got what I wanted out of Pacifica this episode. Her parents suck, though.
And now, the apocalypse.
