While I'm not averse to keeping things lighthearted on the wiki, I'm not entirely sure that advertising those subpages sends a good message. They are, after all, Just for Fun and not in any way related to our mission.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Perhaps it would be a better idea to create a page called Drinking Game (different from the trope page, obviously), that would link people to the Drinking Game pages for works they want to investigate?
A similar idea is in place on Something Awful's Let'sPlay forum when someone has to post on youtube: they only post the links in the thread, so you ahve to know it exists to find the youtube videos, because they're made "private" on the channel.
This wouldn't need to be nearly as . . . restrictive,(?) but it would make it a bit harder for some of the younger tropers to find the Drinking Game pages and get the wrong idea.
If we want that to happen, the YKTTW draft can be edited as such, and it's purpose changed.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I don't see a problem having a button on a work's page that takes you to its drinking game. In order to rep for that. the drinking game pages should all be moved to a Drinking Game namespace.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyYou want to make it an official subpage, Eddie? Okay, I guess... I always thought that the Just for Fun stuff wasn't supposed to be "official" in that sense.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"An icon would be easy enough; coloring this thing
◊ slightly could work. I like the idea of making DrinkingGame/ a real subpage (though I'm much too young to drink!).
I believe the intention here is to create a new "sub-wiki" as it were, like we have for the YMM Vs and Haiku pages. Does that clarify. Anyways, what're we thinking about that crowner?
I have no choice but to pretend I am a warrior who knows no fear.158? That's currently one more than Radar/, so a button at the top for this would be cool. Just for Fun namespace button is probably not a problem, what with Haiku-Wiki having its own button.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Scan Visor: Patience, friend. This is probably not a huge priority for Eddie right now, and since he's the only one who can code, when this'll be done is up to him.
I've made a few versions of a possible icon, based on a wine glass/goblet:
Solid gray
◊, empty
◊, partly full
◊, mostly full
◊, and full
◊. of them, I like the solid and the mostly full ones best.

@ Tropers/Battosaijoe
My apologies, I didn't know there was only one coder, I was just wondering if a decision had been made. It appears from this recent posting that a decision has been made.
Thanks for the help everyone.

I have no choice but to pretend I am a warrior who knows no fear.Scan Visor No worries, man.
Incidentally, +1 for mostly full. But is the Tech Wishlist the best place to be talking about icon candidates for a new namespace?
Trying to test this on the Franchise.Harry Potter page... button's not showing, even though the page is at DrinkingGame.Harry Potter. Am I screwing something up here?

Here's a link to a YKTTW discussion
about the idea for a drinking game page attached to a works trope page.
Some already exist (for 158 different works pages), but as of right now there is not a "button" made for it to connect it to the main pages, in the way there is for YMMV, CMoA, CMoF, Fridge Logic, High Octane Nightmare Fuel, etc.
We'd like to formally request such a button be made so that the work on those 158 pages does not go neglected, and also to popularize the creation of Drinking Game pages for more works.
Thanks.
