It's tomorrow (at least where I am). Are you going to it, what will you get? Or is it not a big deal?

I'm no longer living in an area with a comic shop, so no dice for me.

I could go to a nearer one, but Source Comics & Games has the best giveaways in town, so about an hour on the bus each way.

None of the books that were free looked particularly good, so I didn't pick up any, but I stood around in the store and read most of the Avengers v. X-Men issues, and picked up the Dark Phoenix Saga from the library, so a good day all in all.

The stores were fairly crowded, with a good number of people in full geek costume (mostly Star Wars).

The Source gives out a pack of twenty-five or so comics plus a figurine and some gum—they had two tons of the free comics in. Thankfully, they opened a half-hour early—big kudos to the hardworking store personnel for getting everything set up in time! (I also bought fifty bucks worth of regular comics, so they broke even on me.)

The most fun is the small press and oddball items; this year including a Mouse Guard hardcover book!

Things From Another World had a FCBD Sale that I picked a few things up from. I got the first two volumes of Marvel Adventures: Avengers for three bucks each. They said they'd throw in a free comic book for orders placed today so I'll find out in a week or so if I got anything good, or anything at all. [lol] It'll be good times.

I picked up a couple of samplers (Image/Valiant) and Bad Medicine. Some of the stories in the sample issues looked cool. I avoided the Big 2; the Marvel freebies didn't interest me and you couldn't pay me to read DC's New 52 issue.
