It's not really in style right now. I don't think anything other than the next Star Trek movie is currently in production.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWe are in an unbelievably low period in space sci-fi on TV. Considering that the Star Trek franchise was ongoing from the '80s onward, and Stargate from the mid-90s, the end of Stargate Universe was basically the end of decades of TV having at least one show featuring spaceships at any given time. The new Battlestar Galactica prequel is coming, but it looks like it's going to be Screwed by the Network. And there's that Star Wars TV series George Lucas is always talking about, which may never happen.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!I assume you mean live action? I can't think of any off the top of my head. Star Wars Clone Wars (or the one with The in it, I can't remember) is ongoing I believe and is a space opera to some degree in that it focuses on characters. BTW, is Space Above And Beyond on your list?
Fight smart, not fair.Love Star Wars, but I've never been particularly interested in the Clone Wars era, largely because of the Foregone Conclusion. I've considered checking out the current series, but never strongly enough to actually do it.
Doctor Who can technically be considered Space Opera, but it's a very atypical example.

I've just been looking back through (either currently watching or planning to watch) some completed television Space Opera shows (Star Trek, Babylon 5, etc.) and been wondering- are there any good shows in this genre currently ongoing or in production? Sorry if this question seems rather broad, but it's something I've been wondering about.
