I'm going to visit USA in summer in June with my big sister, and I'm supposed to tell her if I have any places I would like to go so we can plan where we do go :P Well, I don't happen to have any specific places I want to go(maybe visit some tropers passing by if possible) so are there any gaming events(or just regular ones) or cons during June?

Anime Expo starts at the end of June over here in California.

^Where that is located?

^^Hmm, I see ._. Where was California located btw? I don't really plan to go to southern USA.

California is on the Pacific coast. Find a map of the US, its the really big and long state on the western side.

Oh, ok... I guess its part of southern USA then? D:

Oh well, anyway, any other places?

Do you know exactly where you will be visiting?

California is possibly the most liberal state in the nation, so if you're avoiding the South due to politics there's nothing to fret.

And while not quite in June, the last week of May has Fanime Con.

California is Southwest, not South. There is a difference.

Spooky, if you can get us a city or a state it would be helpful. Also just how long you plan on staying.

I'm running a crooked craps game on 7th Avenue. Or is that not the kind of con you're looking for?

@R Taco: Oh, ok, thats good to hear.

@Jimmmy: Well, no. Thats one reason I'm going.

@Parable: Three weeks. Also, we plan the trip by seeing what my sister and I want to go to then deciding how to best fit it together, and I have no idea where she wants to know because she wasn't interested in explaining tongue

@Hungry Joe: The what? O_o

Okay then, your sister will probably explain this to you, but you can't really say just ask where in the USA there are cons. This is because going from a city on one end, San Francisco (california) and a city on the other end (New York) is a 3 or 4 day trip by road, at the very least. America is REALLY REALLY big. If you are, say, going to New york, then there's all sorts of things you can do in the new england area, but you probably don't want to go to a con in Las Vegas.

What state/area does your sister live in?

Also, Hungry Joe was making a joke about Con as in "Conning someone".

And this is assuming you don't stop at a lot of places along the way.

Oooooooh, WITH your big sister. I thought you meant that you were going to visit your big sister who lives in america.

Have you made any plans at all for your trip?

Umm not really tongue Today got email(well, my parents got, probably because she doesn't have my email address :P) that I should make list of places I want to go to which annoys me as I think I should discuss about it with her instead of just giving her list of places I would like to visit.

The thing is, America is so huge that you can essentially do whatever you want. You can have a theme parks/beach trip (FLORIDA YES) in the same country you could have a ski trip in.

So just saying "what do you want to do in america" is like saying "what do you want to do in europe". It's to big to just say "This thing".

Yeaaaaaaaaaaah, thats kind of the problem I'm having because I don't have any specific place I want to go to tongue Hence why I figured out gaming/anime/whatever events would be nice directions.

My suggestion? Unless you find something you REALLY REALLY want to go to, head to somewhere in New England. Mainly because from there you can drive to all sorts of cool stuff.

Although since it's winter... hm. Have to think about this.

Alternativly, if there's something you enjoy a lot (skiing, surfing, theme parks, museums) there's specific places I can recommend.

Thing is, we aren't going to ONE place. Its for three week after all, we will at least visit relatives in Maine and my big sis probably wants to go to New York since EVERYONE does, but I'm not sure where all we will go to.

[up] If you do visit New York City, try visiting a part that isn't Manhattan.
