Ericheit began to clap slowly as he straightened up and approached the two servants. "Wonderful," he said, still wearing that same sinister grin. "You two should do nicely. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've had an extremely long day. I'll see you both in about three hours." With that, Ericheit climbed out of the basement and lay down for some long-overdue sleep.
"Oh, very good young man. Good to know that it appears like you have a good head over those shoulders, and how your specialties will be of use to us in the war" said Uther as he picked up the maps, his bright eyes scanning it's contents with care... taking his time to memorize the little details "What a funny turn of events... in this war I'm right in the middle of the lands which spawned the enemies of my Kingdom for generations"
"Hey, young man. The Grail has awarded me some general knowledge of the current events... but still, I wish to know. What are your thoughts on the War shaking your world at the moment?"
Alphonse shook his head.
"It is madness. Monsieur Hitler and his delusions about the "master race" are based in make-believe and a sullen thirst for "revenge". He is playing the angry and dissatisfied Germans for fools as he wants to construct his Third Reich..."
The mage peeked out between the boarded-up windows. They would be able to go out soon, once there were fewer people in the street...
"The war has been hell, and it has impacted every corner of the world. So many have died because of the actions of the mad Führer. And now, it's all coming back to crash down on his head. It has taken a long time, but soon the war will be at an end."

"You have whiskey, right?"
"What, no more?" Assassin complained, but his Master apparently could not or would not hear him. He sighed heavily. Genie just got out of the bottle and all he got was a dead hooker.
He looked at the other one, still flopping on the ground like a suffocating fish. He whistled. "Nice one, buddy. But it's a little too clean for my tastes."
Readying himself, he dismounted the legs and stomped on her bleeding throat, crushing her trachea and letting loose a torrent of warm blood. He laughed a little, stomping around in the wet meat.

Pharamond sat back down, meeting the gaze of his Servant.
"The Fournier estate has again been returned to the hands of the family, after having been deep in German occupied country. The mansion, it has taken a great deal of damage and many of our priceless artefacts have fallen into the hands of German mages. My parents are old and my older brother is dead, and as the heir, I have a responsibility to uphold. If I can restore the family with my own two hands..."
He clenched his fists, his face determined.
"...then I will gladly risk my life for it."

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Jesse Tavers, in an abandoned warehouse basement... (I think)
The man stood there. No, the man was stone. He was a wall. He was a stone wall. The elements that burst forth from the circle fazed him not. He stared with a smile as he held the brim of his hat. He couldn't risk it flying off into the darkness, which was one reason for it. The Servant asked a question, the single question that established the completion of the contract. His answer...?
"I ain't no Master, I'm just an old man... but yeah, I guess I'll be working with you... hmm.. what can I call you? By the way, the names' Jesse... but people just call me Jess." he extended a hand out, ready to shake the bronzed man's hand.
The Best Caster in the Entire World
Tamamo should the man's hand with enthusiasm. It was the Holy Grail War. Her wish may be finally granted, rather, through this man it's hopefully granted. He seemed stern, he seemed serious, the business only type. That surely wouldn't do.. but she'd have to deal with it for now.
"Ah, Master, do my features captivate you?" the sly grin turned into a frown. "Please, feel free to stare, but not for too long. Your pupils may recede because of my own radiance."

Masou Makiri [Makiri Mansion]
"But of course."
Masou smiled. He was one of the very few people who actually possessed a whiskey in this war-torn Berlin, and probably the only one who possessed a truly good one. But that was something that he deemed not necessary to mention.
Leading the Heroic Spirit through his temporary home, he used the opportunity and launched a little lecture to help Scáthach familiarize with the mansion.
"This mansion is in a rather advantageous position and will serve as our headquarters for this war, at least initially. There is a leyline nearby so the ground here is rather suitable of Servant."
Masou paused a little, only to open a door in one of the hallways, before continuing onwards.
"The mansion itself is rather defended rather lightly. There are several simple bounded fields that warn us against intruders, hide the mansion from eyes of ordinary people and protect it from bombardments and other… unsavory reminders that we are still at war. The vast majority of defenses are concentrated underground."
Pausing again, Masou unlocked another door, and into a hall that lead to dinning room
"In case of an attack, the plan is to retreat to catacombs and force attackers into a battle of attrition. There are several escape routes from the dungeon so we can disengage from here and than rapidly relocate or attack them from the rear while they are tied down there. Oh, and before I forget, there are several traps and creatures that will automatically activate once they detect a being with prana levels of Servant and are not controllable. While I have no doubts you would be able to dispatch them without difficulties, it would unnecessary spoil the surprise for any future intruder, so, I would really appreciate if you didn’t venture into the dungeons without need, or at least asked me before you go."
Pausing for a third time, Masou entered the dinning room. There, in the middle of luxuriously decorated hall was a long table, with two pretty respectable meals and a map of Berlin already prepared. Causally strolling to the bar located at one of the walls, he looked at Scáthach with a grin.
"I assume you would want that Whiskey, right?"
Rider, [Abandoned Warehouse, Basement]
Without hesitation, the man grasped the offered hand in a firm grip and pumped it up and down in an energic and vigorous handshake.
"Jess eh? Well, this humble man before you is called Odysseus. There might be some possibility that you already heard about me."
He answered with a friendly smile and a touch of irony in his voice.
"Although I would prefer if you would simply call me “Rider”."
Finally releasing Jesse hand, he looked around the basement before his gaze fell back at his Master.
"Well then. I believe we have a Grail to win."

Has a compulsive editing and re-editing disorder.Pierre, Pierre's hotel room
Pierre recoiled a little from embarassment. He hadn't realized he'd been staring at her that long. Still, for her to be so upfront about it...
"Ummm, thanks, I'll keep that in mind..." he said, obviously a little skeptical of her claim. I mean sure, she was certainly prettier than most girls he'd ever met, but his pupils "receding because of her radiance"? Someone was a little too full of themselves. "Anyway, I've told you who I am," he said, sitting down and inviting her to do the same, "How about you tell me who you are? I'm guessing based on your attire you're Japanese. And since you're not carrying any weapons besides that mirror, I'm guessing that makes you either Rider or Caster." He mulled it over for a second. "Yes, Caster. I'm sure of it."
Scáthach, Makiri Mansion
"Oh yes, quite. I'd also like to know what it is you've got tucked away there in the cellar."
She smiled devilishly. "Oh come now, did you really think you could keep it hidden from me? I can practically smell the prana dripping off of that place. It smells a lot tastier than anything up here. 'Cept for the booze of course, compliments on that. Now why don't you pour me a glass of that whiskey," she said, running a finger under his chin, "and show me what you've got downstairs."

"No." she simply shook her head from side to side, placing a finger on Pierre's lips to keep them shut. "I am of the Caster class, yes, but you don't need to now my true name yet. Should I trust you after ten seconds? Surely not." she took her finger off and turned around, her tail whisking about in the air. She observed the room, and the bloodied magical circle at her feet. Surely there was a place she could rest, yes?
"Aha..." she took note of the bed nearby. With a few steps, she took a seat. Her hands rested on her lap, her tail laying itself to her side. "Now then," her tail patted the empty space nearby. "Let's talk business, shall we?~"
Jesse Tavers in the Basement with Rider
"That we do, friend, that we do." Jesse loved it. The handshake, that is. So strong, so powerful, this man was destined to be his partner. The legendary Odysseus, eh? He didn't care about the legend anymore, he only cared if the man before him was really a man. The handshake was the first indication, but something about him was... just awesome. He couldn't place it himself, but he'd find out with time.
"Now let's get out of this dark place. I'll see enough of that when I'm dead and buried." the man let out a laugh, turning away to the steps located just a meter or two away.

Avenger grinned. "I think we have a philosophical difference there, Assassin. The way I see it, if you do too much damage, the mind shuts down completely and only focuses on the pain. If you finish them off, it's over. I like to give people a moment or two to reflect on how exactly they ended up where they did. Let them stew about it for a bit, you know? Most of the time that's more painful than anything you can do to the body. Also, the thrashing around is funny as hell."

Pierre, Pierre's hotel room
Well that was unexpected. Normally Servants loved to boast, or so he'd been told. But this one seemed intent on keeping her lips sealed, which put Pierre in a sticky situation. He supposed he could read her palm, and get the information discreetly... No. No, that wouldn't work. She had to be able to trust him, or this whole thing would fall apart out of the gate. He sighed. He supposed waiting was his only real option here. Or figuring it out himself.
It's a good thing she's as striking as she is then, otherwise it'd be even more difficult. Speaking of some of Caster's more noticeable features, he heard her tail thumping on the space next to her, sort of like how most people might pat a couch cushion. Taking her tail gestures as an invitation to join her, Pierre sighed, and rose.
"While I can't say I think it's smart to withold vital information like that, I am happy to see you're at least taking this seriously," he said, taking a seat next to Caster.
Assassin, Einzbern Basement
"Ah, but you fail to see the bigger picture! Sure, making sure them die all nice and slow like is fun, but it's a fleeting pleasure, you know what I mean? With this," he squelched his feet in the woman's throat some more, "You got at most, what, a minute to enjoy it? Maybe two? Nah, see, it isn't about making the one you're about to kill fear you. No no no no."
"It's about making everybody else fear you. It's why we Hassans always leave such a beautiful mess. It's a calling card. Let's 'em know this could be you. Makes 'em live in fear of us." Assassin kicked at the woman's head from within her throat, severing the poor dead woman's noggin with a sickening rip. "Because getting that, mmmm, delicious fear from the dying is great, but it's when you're next victim sees you, and they know what's coming, and they scream and scream and scream until you won't let 'em scream no more..." Assassin made a disturbingly happy face. "That's the best."

Rider let out a hearty chuckle. He liked the old man already. Following him out of the basement, he shot a curios glance at his Masters back and asked a question.
"Out of curiosity, what do you intend to do with Grail when we win it?"
Not if, but when. For in Riders mind there was no doubt that he would triumph in the end. That was the degree of his confidence in his abilities.

Avenger let his grin drop and assumed a more neutral expression. "Like I said, philosophical difference. We're after different things here. You go for fear, I go for torment and punishment. Just different goals, that's all. You gotta do what works best for you."
[Ericheit, Einzbern Mansion -> Church]
Ericheit's alarm clock went off at 9:00 sharp. His eyes sprung open instantly. Calmly, he got out of bed, got changed, and went downstairs to collect his servants for the trip to the church. Looks like it's time to put the supervisor through his paces, he thought.

Alphonse nodded.
"My wife has already blessed me with a son, as well as a beautiful baby daughter. I have not seen them since I left England to fight for France. But should I die in the War, the lineage is still saved. Still, it would be a horrible burden for me to pass onto him when he is still so young."
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! The French mage smiled, and nodded. Yes, he would be victorious here.
"The Holy Grail War attracts all kinds of mages. But one thing is for sure; the greatest families are sure to try to get in on this."
He went back to the map, pointing to some strange markings scattered all across the map of Berlin.
"These took a long time to gather. All of these are high-class apartment and mansion buildings that hold powerful magic residue. That is to say, powerful magics have been performed over a long time in the past."
"No doubt, many of these are simply the old homes of magicians. But if there is any chance that one of these is, say, an Einzbern residence or the holiday home of a foreign great family, they should be worth checking out. Once we can confirm the existence of a Servant, we are one step closer to winning."
Alphonse smiled.
"Berlin is a big city, but it is also the heart of Nazi Germany. Tracking down foreigners here will become easier the longer the war goes on. Of course, that goes for me as well. But we will move with care, and not let ourselves scurry around in the dark."

Ah, good. He wanted to talk. As soon as he took a seat, Tamamo pulled her tail back. It lightly brushed the surface of the bed as she closed her eyes. "Ah, then Master, how do you propose we fight? Unlike other Caster Class Servants, I am capable of holding my own for a bit in hand-to-hand combat. Not for too long, however." her eye fell on the floor as she continued to talk. A deep sigh, "A weakness I can't overcome, but maybe you have some abilities to compliment mine? Surely there must be something, or you wouldn't have summone me, dear Master."
Tamamo stood up from the bed and walked forward. The fox girl stood there, looking out the window and to the people below. Another deep sigh. She turned her head with her body still facing the wall. Half her head faced the wall and faced Pierre. "Well then, Master?"
Jesse Tavers
"To stop all the fighting. It's a childish wish, but I'm an immature old man. If the Grail can't grant that, I guess I'll just be another casualty in the war. This body of mine will wear itself thin and I know it." another chuckle as he exitted the basement. Soon enough he was on the first floor.
Books sprawled about on the ground, pages riddled with dust. Book shelves caved in along the wall and an open door letting in the white moonlight.

Pierre, Pierre's hotel room
"Well, that honestly depends, Caster, considering I really don't know what you're capable of," he remarked, still somewhat frustrated with Caster's belligerence. "At any rate, I specialize in old-style hoodoo. Charms, death curses, that sort of thing. Not much in the way of close combat. I can protect myself without your help, but as it stands I'm more of a support-type."
"Oh, that reminds me," he said, fishing around in his pocket for a small, red bag. "Take this. It's a mojo bag. Typically this variety is used for... other purposes," he said, looking somewhat uncomfortable. Typically charms like these were used by married men and women to keep an eye on their spouses, but he wasn't going to tell Caster that. No need to give her the wrong idea. "Anyway, I've refitted them to work as two-way communicators. I've got one as well," he said, pulling the bag out of his shirt by the string.
Offering to help put it on her, he sat behind her and tied the string back behind her neck. "Just don't open the bag," he warned her. "The charm loses its potency if you open the bag."
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial"I see... a wise strategy. Knowledge is indeed the surest path to victory. Though do take into mind not to be too careful about your plans, Fournier. I am Saber after all, the strongest of the summoned spirits. I am a hammer to crush our enemies apart. Should an uncertain chance be present to ourselves please, we should not hesitate in striking while the iron is hot" Advices Saber, as he took note of the markings on the map.
"Still, for the moment care is the name of the game. In my time my Enchantment was the perfect disguise when I had the need of one... However, at that time I wasn't summoned as a Heroic Spirit. Even if my disguise is perfect in form I am not certain that I can hide my nature as a spirit to the enemy Servants. Still... maybe my ability will turn out to be advantageous in other schemes"
Alphonse nodded thoughtfully. He would have to move out to try to scout out the opposition, and it would be best to have Saber with him, should he actually find a Servant. On the other hand, they did not want to be counter-scouted...
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you'll prepare the disguise of your own choice, we will be departing to do some of the intelligence gathering. If we are ambushed by the enemy Servants, we will still have the upper hand unless it is Archer or Caster, in which case we will make a nimble getaway using our knowledge of the terrain and my traps. Anyone else..."
He smiled.
"Will not live to regret crossing path with Saber."
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Masou Makiri [Makiri Mansion, Dinning Hall]
Still rummaging around in the bar, and turned back to her, Masou froze. Forcefully controlling himself, glad that Scathach is unable to see the expression on his face, he took a deep breath, eliminating the shock and worry from his mind and returned to his usual courteous self. Hiding his… guests away from a plain sight was a natural precaution as most of Servants were still Heroes, with honor and ideals and would hardly condone such actions. However even between Heroes there were oddities. A blood-splattered champions, that still could be considered “true” heroes for their sight never wavered from their shining utopia, and they never lost their honour not even when they realized that even Evil itself can be used as a tool in a service of Good. And it looked like his Servant was one of them. He finally took out the bottle of premium whiskey and returned to table, pouring his partner a generous portion and seated himself across her. Masou leaned his head to the side and finally answered:
"Very perceptive my Lady. It looks like I have to apologize, both for my tardiness in the matter and for the fact that I tried to hide it in the first place. But please understand, most of my preparations were made with another… Partner in my mind. I think that your pupil wouldn’t be very understanding about the… special reserves I have in cellar. Nor would he be such a talented magus to discover them right away."
Masou idly popped some food from his meal into his mouth, while watching Scatchach with great interest. The charade he so painstakingly prepared for his Servant was already hopelessly out of script, but he decided that he didn’t dislike the new direction it was heading. It could prove truly advantageous after all.
"I will gladly tour you through dungeons once we finish our meal, But for now… I have to admit I am a little curious about you and have a few questions in my mind. And I am sure you too have a thing or two you want to ask about."
Looking at her, Masou suddenly grinned in self-deprecating manner and continued:
"Now you already discovered a tiny embarrassing secret of mine before this conversation even started so please allow me the honour of asking the first question: Why did such a magnificent being like you decided to take part in this war and answer my call?"
Rider [Abandoned Warehouse]
"To stop all fighting, huh? Oh my that’s a truly selfless wish. I fear those are the most dangerous ones."
Rider continued, and while his teasing grin hinted that he was not truly serious, it was hard to tell for certain.
"You sure you don’t want to reconsider that? What about becoming the king of the world? Or being young forever? Or having a harem of willing beautiful women that would make even the great emperor of Persia jealous?"
He followed his Master out of basement. and, once on the first floor, stepped through the open door outside, without a hint of hesitation. Having a first good look at the city around him, he let out a deep sigh and slumped his shoulder a little.
"I think I can understand your wish a little better now. Jeez not even Troy was this bad."

Has a compulsive editing and re-editing disorder.Jesse Tavers with Rider (Abandoned Warehouse)
"I'm not a selfish oldman, at least I don't like to think so. Being king of the world? A Hahaha..." the old man laughed as he looked around. He did infact think about those sorts of things, when he was younger, anyway. The imagination of a child is truly a wonderful thing...
"You walking around in that is going to draw some attention, Rider." Jesse smiled to himself as he walked forward to look Rider in the eye. "So what do you want to do?"
Tamamo n-I mean.. Caster with Pierre
Caster didn't object to her new Master placing that trinket on the back of her neck. Once he was finished, she walked forward and stretched her arms into the air. She let out a deep sigh. Shortly after she found herself walking to the beg again and, sure enough, she plopped her rear down onto the mattress.
"Ahhh, such a comfortable bed!" flop, she fell back, her arms and legs sprawled out upon the sheet. Tamamo rolled until she was lie flat on her belly, facing away from her partner. "Ah, you asked about my abilities. Wind, Fire, Water, typically elemental magic. I can absorb spells and guard against most attacks. My magic isn't run of the mill, mind you, but you'll find out soon enough, won't you, Master?" she seemed happy about something...

Mirai, Tohsaka Mansion/Apartment (Berlin)
They got it for the war. I realized I needed to get Mirai to Berlin somehow...
Mirai gave a nod, digesting the information.
"Yes, actually," she said quietly. Her hair didn't move when she turned around, rummaging on the table behind her for a map.
"Ah. Here," she said quietly, drawing out a few maps of the city.
"We're here," the magus added, pointing to a fairly isolated spot. A few abandoned apartments were nearby, but it wasn't terribly close to the center of town. Not that that was much of a problem for Mirai.
