March, 1945

A large, black mercedes pulled through the black iron gates. The car's driver felt a chill as they passed under the enormous sign - Arbeit Macht Frei. The passenger in the back had no expression whatsoever. He casually checked his watch. 11:40. We're cutting it close.

The car pulled around to the SS command office and stopped to allow the passenger out. He was young, but stood confidently. An officer exited the building and strode out to meet him. "Ericheit von Einzbern?" he asked. The young man nodded. "Right this way, please."

The commander led the man through the camp and into the center of a gas chamber. The young man took a moment to look around, then said, "This will do nicely. You are dismissed, commander. I will find my own way out." The commander nodded and calmly exited the chamber, closing the door behind him. As soon as it slammed shut, the commander broke into a full sprint back to the barracks.

Inside, Ericheit drew a summoning circle on the ground and placed a small tome in the center. Normally, simply having the scripture wouldn't be enough to summon a being of this magnitude, but with the amount of human suffering surrounding them, it should be possible. With the preparations completed, he began the ritual.

There was a flash of blinding light and an enormous rumbling sound. When everything cleared, a heavily tattooed and scarred man was standing in the center of the ring on the ground.

Ericheit grinned. "Hello, Avenger."

The third Holy Grail War had begun.

Dust. Oh, so much dust. Every surface had a thick layer of it, every nook and cranny was filled with it and there was not one object in the room that could be touched without it leaving an imprint on Alphonse's pale skin or meticulous suit.

But it couldn't be helped. The previous owners had left their home in a hurry several weeks ago, and the military had not claimed it afterwards. For now, the stately apartment near the centre of Berlin was presently occupied in secrecy by Alphonse Fournier. The windows were boarded up and the rest of the complex completely in disarray, so no one had caught on to his existence up there yet.

Now, he had cleaned away the furniture in the dining room to make room for a magic circle. To think that he would happen across a Holy Grail War here and now? It was providence smiling upon him for his hard work, of that Alphonse was sure. A magnificent crown, the prized magic artefact of a now long gone German lord, lay in the middle of the circle. Magic coursed through his veins as he spoke the words to summon a Servant.

"Ye first, O silver, O iron, O stone of the foundation, O Archduke of the Contract. Hear me in the name of our great teacher, the Archmagus Schweinorg. Let the descending winds be as a wall, let the gates in all directions be shut, rising above the crown, and let the three-forked roads to the Kingdom revolve."

"Shut. Shut. Shut. Shut. Shut. Five perfections for each repetition. And now, let the filled sigils be annihilated in my stead! Set. Let thy body rest under my dominion, let my fate rest in thy blade. If thou submittest to the call of the Holy Grail and if thou wilt obey this mind, this reason, then thou shalt respond."

"I make my oath here. I am that person who is to become the virtue of all Heavens. I am that person who is covered with the evil of all Hades. Thou seven heavens, clad in a trinity of words, come past thy restraining rings, and be thou the hands that protect the balance!"

Alphonse licked his lips nervously, panting from the exertion. He had not used this much magic at once in quite some time. But that was a good sign. The more prana invested...the more gained. Now then...who would answer his summons?

Pierre Chevalier did not feel like singing in the rain. In fact, he didn't feel like doing much of anything in the rain, because if he was here for another minute, he swore he'd go nuts.

A simple trip to supermarket, that's all I ask, he grumbled to himself, swinging the plastic bag at his side. Here he was, hours away from summoning his Servant, and he was going to look like a fucking mop. Not the best way to get someone to respect you.

A car drove past just then, splashing him in the face with muddy crap water. Perfect. He wiped the dusty sludge off of his face with a sigh, and kept walking. He hated this bloody city. And why not? Lots to hate, right? After all, it wasn't more than a week or so ago this shithole was center of the Nazi regime. Couldn't get much worse than that. Although, knowing the Grail Wars, they'd certainly try.

Finally finding refuge in the lobby of Hotel Adlon, Pierre relieved himself of his drenched coat on the coat rack. Feeling like a weight had been taken off his shoulders (in the literal and metaphorical sense), Pierre stepped towards one of the hotel employees with just a little bit more spring, happy, or at least relieved, to finally be out of the rain.

Approaching the bellhop, he spoke in fluent German, "My belongings have all been moved to my suite now, correct?" The bellhop nodded. "It was hard going for a little bit, but it's all there now."

Fidgeting awkwardly as Pierre reached for his wallet, not sure he should say anything, the barhop finally asked, "I'm not sure if it's my place to say this sir, but you had some... rather odd things with you. I mean, I can get the oils and the furs, but... uhhh..." He fidgeted. "Chicken bones?"

"Think nothing of it. It isn't anything important. And if you hear any loud noises upstairs, think nothing of that either. Here," he said, sliding the man a crinkled wad of bills, "For services rendered."

"There," Pierre said, smearing the last of the blood onto the carpet, "Done. The hotel's gonna kill me if they ever find out, but done."

Washing his hands of the ritual's materials, Pierre took his place at the circle, ready to begin. He had no real artifact with which to use a catalyst, but a general goes to war with the army he's got, or that's how the saying went.

He cleared his throat.

Masou Makiri, [Makiri Mansion, Dinning Hall]

20:30

An evening before the Holy Grail War began; a strange dinner was taking place at Makiri residence. In a lavishly decorated dinning hall, sitting around exquisite dinning table were 12 unlikely guests. Men and women, young and old, the only thing they had in common were dirty tattered clothes and how obviously out of their depth they looked in such luxurious place. One of them, an older man stood, and proposed a toast: “ To Masou Makiri! To a man with endless compassion and mercy, who took us in when everyone else turned away from us. To our Saviour!" The toast was echoed by another eleven voices, while Masou sitting at the head of the table smiled politely and gracefully nodded his thanks. Indeed, his guests were forsaken by everybody. In fact, he chose them exactly for this reason. Alone and homeless, they were without relatives, without friends and would never be missed. Masou was a cautious man and went to great lengths to be sure about it. And in the end he didn’t even had to use magecraft to lure them to his mansion. His smile widened, and gained genuine warmth. Everything was proceeding as planned.

[Makiri Mansion, Dungeons]

9:30

The next morning caught Masou deep underground. This vast underground dungeon was the main reason why was this mansion chosen as Makiri residence. Originally catacombs of some forgotten noble family, they got turned into a fortified bunker during the war, and then just a few days back, transformed again, into a fortress of magic and nightmares where worms and worse things crawled and preyed on any uninvited guest. And at the very heart of this dungeon was a place where his guests were… accommodated. Six cells, two beds within each cell and one motionless body on each bed. Masou watched them with deep frown – things weren’t proceeding as expected. While worms had already hatched and supplied him with prana, they were killing their hosts too fast. Already weakened by malnutrition, the worms were the last nail in a coffin for their deteriorating bodies. His grandfather expected them to last for several days, but in such state they would be dead within one. Turning back and hurriedly walking through the dungeon to his study far above, he began to rapidly modify his strategy. He originally planned to wait for a day or two before taking an active role, but that had to change. He would have to take initiative and gain advantage while his… additional prana sources lasted.

[Makiri Mansion, Study]

12:30

Several hours later, Masou was standing in his study, and inspected the summoning circle for fifth time. Not finding any fault with drawing of the circle, or the placement of the sacred relic inside, he finally nodded and began the ritual. Deep down, twelve bodies arched their back, and twelve minds were filled with agony, as the crest worm in them began feeding frenzy, supplying their master with tremendous amount of prana. Almost bursting with extra energy, he chanted the summoning incantation:

Finishing the ritual, Masou smiled in satisfaction. All twelve hosts survived for now. He looked at the summoning circle, waiting for a certain Hero to answer his call.

Mirai Tohsaka stood, tall and proud, over the summoning circle. Every element was in its place, the circle free of errors, the artifact where it needed to be.

I'll make the world the way it should be. The black-haired girl closed her eyes and began the ritual, her Magic Circuits flaring.

A flash of light temporarily blinded the girl, and she staggered back a step, squinting to see who she had summoned.

A part of her she knew she'd need to lock up for the Grail War hoped that whoever it was, they were nice.

And from the flash of light, in front Alphonse appeared a tall figure... a muscular giant of a man clad in regal looking armor, cape and furs. He was an older man with grizzled brown hair and a well kept beard. His face was lined in his old age... the face of a man who was severe and serious... though his green eyes sparkled with a light that was fundamentally just and righteous.

The man stood gripping two handed onto a great longsword which had it's point resting on the floor... and it was blade which was dazzling in appearance. It was ornamented, delicately crafted and adorned... however, it's golden edge was incredibly honed... the beautiful blade was as much a weapon as it was a mark of status and the symbol of a monarch.

The powerful man spoke with a booming voice, one which obviously had carried over countless battlefields and courts "I am the Hero summoned into this war in the vessel of the sword master, Saber. I ask of you... Are you the one that dares call himself my Master?"

Saber. Alphonse smiled broadly. This was a time of good fortune, it seemed. His Servant looked very strong; a legendary king of some kind, perhaps? The sword he carried was awe-striking, yet not one Alphonse could recognize. He had never been particularly good at history.

Alphonse drew himself up, not wanting to give his own Servant the chance to look down on him. Figuratively, of course. Literally, there was not much he could do. Saber was quite a bit taller than the short French mage.

"Yes, Saber. It is I who have summoned you to this twice battlefield. I am Alphonse Fournier, heir to the great magic family. With you by my side, our victory is all but guaranteed."

Ericheit returned to the Einzbern family mansion with Avenger in tow. Neither had said a word throughout the entire trip back. Ericheit was surprised by how little magical energy he felt emanating from the servant. If the old man had been wrong... no, that wasn't possible. This was definitely Angra Mainyu. Still, it was probably for the best that he'd be summoning a second servant. It was almost dawn now, and he wanted to get this done before the sun rose.

He entered the basement of the mansion and walked into the room that had been used in countless rituals for over a thousand years. He laid down another circle and began to chant.

''"Ye first, O silver, O iron, O stone of the foundation, O Archduke of the Contract. Hear me in the name of our great teacher, the Archmagus Schweinorg. Let the descending winds be as a wall, let the gates in all directions be shut, rising above the crown, and let the three-forked roads to the Kingdom revolve."

Ericheit felt the prana flowing through him, flowing out of him. He didn't flinch. This was his purpose. This was the function for which his body and mind had been created.

"Well now, isn't this a pleasure..."

The hooded figure chuckled to himself as the light faded, revealing that he was clad head to toe in various hues of green and brown. Whilst a short sword hung by his side, the bow in his hand and the quiver on his back clearly marked him out as Archer, Knight of the Bow. He kneeled in front of Mirai for a moment, clutching his bow tightly and peering at her from beneath the brim of his hood, clearly assessing her worth as a Master. And then, as he got to his feet...

"I believe it is an honour to be summoned by such a fair maiden," he said, with a roguish smile on his face. "Robin of Locksley, at your service." And with another chuckle, he added, "Archer, naturally."

I've been doing magecraft since I was small, but this...

She bowed slightly, extending a hand to the Servant.

"Mirai Tohsaka. I look forward to our partnership," she said quietly. A hint of a smile made its way onto her face.

"That is yet to be seen... but if you wish for victory then summoning me was a good first step" said the giant of a man... after the which he closed his eyes for a few seconds as if in deep thought.

Whatever it was that crossed the King's mind it brought a hearty smile to his face, after the which his whole posture relaxed. He sheathed his magnificent blade and then crossed his arms "I see... this is neither my Kingdom nor are you one of my people"

"Though still, young man, this is quite a mess of a place"

There was a bright flash of light from the circle, followed by an almighty bang and a cloud of dust and smoke, like a bomb had gone off. Masou waited for the smoke to clear, to see his new Servant in the flesh. A figure began stepping out from the smoke. Their hair was long, and a brilliant shade of red, just like their eyes. They were dressed in a sort of Celtic dress which showed off their admirable figure, and they carried with them a long spear, easily as tall as Masou. Clanking the spear on the floor as if announcing her presence, his Servant began, "Honey, I'm home!"

There was another bright flash of light, yielding the Einzbern Master's second Servant. It was... a midget. A super midget. Lovely.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, are you my Master and all that crap. I think we can skip the formalities. Come on kid, when do I get to start killing people?"

[Einzbern Mansion - Basement]

Ericheit's and Avenger's eyes widened. They looked at each other for a moment before simultaneously breaking into incredibly sick-looking grins. Ericheit turned back to Assassin and extended his hand. "Immediately. Welcome to the battlefield, Assassin."

Ericheit turned to leave, but turned around at the last second. "Oh, right, I almost forgot. Both of you, wait there. Spirit forms, please."

Ericheit left the room and returned several minutes later with a prostitute on each arm. They looked around the basement room, clearly slightly unnerved, but managed to keep their cool. For what this man was paying them, they'd be more than willing to put up with some kinks.

Laughing jovially, Ericheit detached himself from the women and stepped back. "Alright, ladies, before we get down to business I'd like you to humor me for a moment - there's something I've just been dying to see. Stand here, please," he said, gently maneuvering them towards the center of the room. He walked to one of the far walls and leaned against it. "Alright then," he said, his smile now taking on a cruel edge. "Let's see what you're capable of. Gentlemen, do your worst."

The first one hadn't even gotten out the beginning of a scream before a curved dagger slid across her throat, severing her windpipe and jugular. More cuts opened up across her body at an incredible speed and with extreme precision - carotid arteries and spinal cord severed, lungs pierced, achilles tendons sliced. Avenger stood back to admire his handiwork as the woman fell to the ground and began to thrash around. The sight was so comical that he began to laugh out loud.

Tohsaka Mansion, I assume?

Archer took Mirai's hand in his and, rather than give it a shake, kneeled down once more to kiss it.

"The feeling is quite mutual, Lady Tohsaka," he said, that delivish smile refusing to fade from his face. "I can already tell that we'll make a fine band. But of course, I wouldn't let myself be summoned by someone I couldn't work with, hah!"

With yet another chuckle, he got to his feet and, pulling back his green hood, finally revealed his face. It possessed a roguish charm not unlike its owner, the scruffy dirty blond hair and the patches of stubble doing their best to enforce this image.

"Now, shall we get to business?" The emerald archer clapped his hands together, rubbing them in anticipation. "Just some quick planning and we'll surely have this war won by teatime, hah!"

Masou Makiri, [Makiri Mansion, Study]

Masou eyes widened in confusion. The summoned Hero was a woman but that…. That shouldn’t be possible! Well, there was only way to discover what exactly had happened. Masou took a deep breath to calm himself and addressed the woman standing in the circle.

"My Lady, please don’t feel insulted by what I have to say, but you are not what I expected. It took a huge amount of work to…"

Masou paused for a moment, remembering the months of hard work and the mountain of corpses he had to climb to obtain this material connection: the last fragment of certain cursed scarlet spear that remained in this world. All that only to make sure that a specific Hero was summoned, a Hero that would work best within Masou strategies.

"…to make sure that a certain Heroic Spirit was summoned. Yet despite that, you are obviously not Cú Chulainn, unless his true legend is far different from what is widely known."

Taking another deep breath and keeping his voice as respectful and courteous as possible, Masou asked her a question:

"With all respect, I have to ask then… What is your true name?"

[Alphonse, Abandoned Apartment]

"Indeed, I feel as I should apologize for this deplorable state of accommodations. Yet, there is a war going on outside and I have thus not had the opportunity to take on a maid. This arrangement is strictly temporary."

Alphonse smiled, as it was all a good joke.

"Please, follow me into the parlour. It is better than this derelict dining room, and I have prepared some tea for us."

Indeed, the parlour was less dusty, though not by much. Pictures and bookcases had been claimed by the spiders, and the piano had not been touched by human hands in a long time. But there was a clean table holding a porcelain teapot and fine cups, as well as two chairs that looked positively inviting. Alphonse motioned for the Servant to sit down and poured two cups of tea. There was no sugar any where.

"Now then, Saber, perhaps you would do me the pleasure of introducing yourself? It is not every day one has a Heroic Spirit for tea, and I must confess that I am very curious as to your true identity."

From the bloody circle in the hotel sprung a white light. It doused the walls in its majesty, coating everything in its radiant glow. Servant Caster answered the call. From the Throne of Heroes she appeared. A mighty whirlwind of magical energy burst forth, shaking the foundation of the room. Inconvenient for Pierre, but much more of an entrance for the Servant, one would presume.

"Ahhhhhh!" the pink haired girl. Well, a pink haired girl with golden eyes, fox ears and tail stood there. She took in a deep breath, cleaning herself of the tension around her. "I ask of you," she walked forward, pointing a finger straight at Pierre. "Are you my Master?" she smiled... there was something strange about it. The air she held, the wry grin, yes, something was certainly strange.

On foreign soil once again. Of all places, Berlin. Jesse sighed, placing a hand on the brim of his hat. It was just a gesture to calm his nerves and it eventually turned into a habit. He's never heard of this Grail War before. In fact, this is the first it's ever been mentioned. The Holy Grail in King Arthur's legend? The chalice of God? That seems about right, but then again he never thought it actually existed. Or rather, he never thought magic existed. So many mysteries left in the world.

The circle had been drawn. The summoning was ready. He didn't know the right incantation, so he'd just have to wing it.

"Spirit of the past, come and heed my call.. uh..." he wasn't very good at this. It may be either old age or lack of creativity, perhaps a mixture of both. "Help me in this coming war o' great spirit..." he stuttered. "Mmmm.. HEED MY CALL DANGGIT!" and then he lost his patience.

Gustav Svensen sat on a fountain in the center of the church courtyard looking out at the sunrise. The sky appeared almost blood red. So it's really started, then, he thought to himself.

The priest stood up, brushed himself off, and went back inside. War or not, he had a church to run. On top of his daily duties, the masters would soon be coming his way. He just hoped they'd be able to avoid a bloodbath on his doorstep.

Rider, [...the place of his summoning]

The first thing that answered the call was wind. Without a warning, howling like a dammed soul, a powerful gust of wind spilled out of the summoning circle in a form of localized hurricane with enough power to knock man from his feet, creating mayhem and chaos in surrounding area.

The second thing that answered the call was water. A massive geyser spurted from the middle of the circle, quickly turning into a pillar of water wide as the circle itself. Yet the water didn’t spill out, but stay inside the circle, seemingly kept there by some kind of invisible barrier. The still turbulent air was suddenly filled with moisture and a smell of sea.

The third thing that answered the call was a man. In a burst of brilliant light, both the winds and water disappeared without a trace revealing an imposing figure idly standing in the middle of circle. It belonged to a tanned, muscular man, clad in ancient leather armor. Slowly, he stepped out of the circle, putting his hand on an archaic looking sword, hanging from his left hip, and quickly checked the bow and quiver of arrows on his back. Satisfied with the state of his equipment, he scanned the surroundings and absorbed the mayhem his summoning caused without a word. Noticing Jesse, he smiled and asked him the question expected from summoned Servants with a slightly amused voice:

"Well then, are you my Master?"

Mirai blushed slightly at her Servant's show of...fealty, she supposed? In any case, she smiled broadly when he got up, nodding determinedly.

"Very much, Archer," she said decisively. "Is there any information in particular you need, or would a general explanation of the area suffice?"

The magus paused, another thought occurring to her.

"Wait. You can refuse to be summoned if it's a Master you don't like?" she asked, curiously.

Saber promptly sat himself down on the remaining empty chair, leaning forward to grab the offered tea. His big hand enveloping the little cup almost completely as he drank almost all the contents of the cup in one single gulp.

"Ah, yes. I guess you'll want to know my identity and what it is that I am capable of"

"My name is Uther Pendragon, the Chief-Dragon and King of all of Britain. I am capable to take the reins of any and all sort of natural mounts, I am a leader of men and warriors. I am a practicer of Britain's magics of old, the ways of the trees, the forests, of the druid"

"With this knowledge of the old ways, I am the creator and master of one of the Three Great Enchantments of the Island of Britain and thus am able to take the shape of any man, woman, child or any beast that roams the wild. Within my chest rests the heart of a dragon, bestowed upon me by the Red Dragon Comet which flew down the night sky during my age, never to be seen again"

"On my sheath rests my blade, my right to rule, the sword which signals victory for a true and just King. Caliburn here is my greatest treasure and the most trusty blade I'll ever know. Such is it's might that I am able to sit before you as a Servant of the Saber Class"

"Finally, I am strong enough to have brought the stones of Stonehenge all the way from Ireland to their current resting place... And I am tenacious enough to have been mocked as the Half Dead King by the Saxons in my illness, just before I carved a bloody path through their forces, to kill their leader Octa, thus turning their mockery into a title which struck fear into their hearts the rest of their lives"

After such a long winded speech, Saber refilled his cup and then drank the whole thing in one gulp again "Thus is the nature of the warrior you summoned, young man. These are my claims and while boasts they are, I assure you that none of them are empty this I can swear upon my Kingdom. I am not the best Saber of them all, but I'll have to suffice for this little war of ours"

"Ah, so you were trying to summon the little hound, were you? Oh yes, I knew him well, in the biblical sense if you know what I mean. But I'm afraid," she said, brandishing the scarlet spear with a lustful gaze, "that this magnificent spear wasn't always his property."

"No, she who stands before you is none other than Scáthach, the Witch of Shadows." the redhead said, grinning. "I have to appluad you. Summoning me over my cute little pupil had to take some major juice to pull off."

The midget Hassan wasted absolutely no time, overjoyed to finally be back to doing what he was best at. Like a bat out of fucking hell, he leaped up at the woman, jumping almost three times his own height to grab at her face like a spider. If he'd had the time, he probably would've done a pelvic thrust or two while he was up there, but as it stood, things were about to get messy.

He quickly detached himself and snapped his fingers, promptly detonating the poor woman's head, which exploded into a red shower of pulp and bloody mist (along with most of her torso). All that was left were the legs, standing upright like a poor Acme cartoon. Assassin jumped up into the stump, and stood in the legs. "Look Ma, I'm taller!"

Pierre studied his new Servant. It was a woman. Japanese, by the look of her dress. Her rather... revealing dress. And she had... fox ears. And a tail.

Well, this is certainly unusual, he thought to himself. He had conducted the ritual with no real target in mind (supposedly those selected naturally by the Grail worked better together) but still, he hadn't been expecting someone like this. A fox girl Servant. Well, at least she would be easy to identify. But on the other hand, something about that smile, and the way she carried herself admittedly made him rather uncomfortable, but he'd wait to judge. He could forgive a few eccentricities provided he and she could manage to work together.

"Yes, that would be me. Pierre Chevalier," he said, extending a hand.

Archer, Tohsaka Mansion

The look on his face made it clear that Archer was quite amused by his Master's reaction, but he said nothing of it. Then again, this might be because Mirai's question about his summoning led to him taking a more thoughtful pose, idly stroking his chin as though trying to figure out the best way to explain things.

"Well... It's more like you would've been unable summon me if we weren't able to work well together, unless you had... Something connected to my legend or... Something." His furrowed brow indicated that he wasn't too clear how this really worked. "At least, that's how I understand it. You're the magus, after all, you probably understand it a lot more than I do. I'm just an Archer, and it would be rather silly if an Archer specialised in magecraft!"

"But anyway," he said, as the gleeful grin returned. "We have some planning to do, don't we? Hmmm, yes, getting a good grasp of the area would be the best place to start... I don't suppose you have a map of the surrounding area, do you?"

Masou Makiri. [Makiri Mansion, Study]

Scáthach...

It took only a second for Masou to properly categorize that name. But of course! He began to laugh a real amusement in his voice. He should have figured it sooner. In the end, he managed to pick even better hand then he expected. With a real delight in his voice he responded:

"You are a rather pleasant surprise, my Lady. My name is Masou Makiri, and I am truly delighted that such a magnificent being decided to answer my call and become my partner in the upcoming Holy Grail War"

Smiling pleasantly, he continued:

"I believe we have much to discuss you and I, but I fear this place is unsuitable for such conversation. So allow me to offer you my invitation for a lunch. It would truly honor me if you would deign to accept it, and we can freely discuss our partnership there."

Turning around, he walked to a door and opened it. Looking back at Scáthach, he beckoned her to walk through.

[Alphonse, Abandoned Apartment Parlour]

Alphonse could not stop his smile from growing as he listened to his Servant. Such an excellent Saber he had been dealt! Lord Uther Pendragon...while it had been Alphonse's older brother who had been the bookish of the two, even Alphonse could recognize the name of the father of King Arthur of the Britons. And the beautiful blade bore the name of Caliburn with pride. Not to mention all the other abilities...combined with Alphonse's own stealth capabilities and traps, they were all but unbeatable.

"I must say that I am very impressed, Saber, and more than satisfied. Needless to say, I have the great hopes for you."

He calmly sipped his tea. The looming Servant had all but finished his tea rations in those two cups, but he would gladly spend his whole fortune on this endeavour if it would bring him the Grail.

"My own specialities lie in stealth, the gathering of intelligence and the placing traps for the unwitting opponent. But more importantly, I have these."

The French mage rose and walked over to a larger table where several maps had been unfurled. Some were hand-drawn to show German troop placement and how the alleys worked. Others were merely edited with notes and special markings to show points of interest. But they all showed the streets of Berlin or the interior of some of the most important buildings in the capital.

"Very few know as much about the geographical workings of Berlin as I do at this point. With these, we can pick the most advantageous battlefields, spots of ambush and be aware of where our opponents may hide themselves or make the quick escape. I suggest you study them as closely as possible before we start roaming the city, Saber."
