Hit a 3:32 and unlocked Tropy's ghost with Zem. Now to actually beat him... which I'm not sure I can do... wish me luck... *internal screaming*
EDIT: FUCK YEAH!

You may have even beaten Oxide with that time. Good show, keep it up!

Uh... not quite? Oxide's time for that track is 3:27:67. Close enough though! Thanks anyway haha I don't plan on doing the Oxide ghosts for a loooooong time yet. I'm not that much of a masochist.

I had deemed them impossible for a long time, and right now I'm only missing Dragon Mines, Hot Air Skyway, and Tiny Temple. Afterwards, it is Platinum relic time (which I had obtained in the original, but due to cheesing it with the infinite masks cheat).
And then I'll be able to flex with digital Tropy aboard a platinum championship kart.
I haven't bothered to get all Platinums because I just don't find relic races very fun. Time trials, as hard as they are, are at least sort of exhilarating. Relic races usually are just boring and frustrating.
Curse you Pit Stop, give me my missing skins! (Stone Age Tropy and Pura Sabertooth)
pit stop fucking sucks, i never get any good characters for sale like crunch
They should make it like if you try to select a skin/paint job/kart/set of wheels/decal/sticker/whateverelsehaveyou that's locked, it actually gives you the option to just. Buy it right then and there.
That would be ideal, but then again that would work completely against the monetization model the Pit Stop is going for.
True, but at this point Activision Blizzard really needs to stop or at least dial back with the constant monetization of their games. They are one of the greediest, cynical, money-driven corporations in existence right now and they're going to get worse. I have a bad feeling that they'll next add loot boxes to CTR: Nitro-Fueled just to further screw the wallets of their customers.
Loot boxes are illegal in plenty of EU countries, so their introduction in newer games may not be such a good move.
Yeah I doubt loot boxes will be added
Looks like they’re going to make a brand new decal reward for this GP after all.
Welp, already in the 5%, yet this weekend I'll be quite busy... Oh well.
Only Dragon Mines left to beat Oxide at. Fuck the person who designed that track, but oh well, gotta solve the issue losing SF too fast; practice will do.
I've not been playing the game at all for the last 2 weeks, so I doubt I'll even get the fake Baby T skin. But it's cool they're giving a new decal for the top 5%... Even though they could have warned people a bit earlier.
I might make it to 42 000 Nitro this time, but ironically I don't think it will be enough for Top 5% this time around. The game has been around longer, so there's less people dropping in midway.
I'll also be busy moving this weekend so I doubt I'll have the time to grind.
With the next update, power-up distribution will be adjusted and the Super Engine, previously only in battle mode, will be available in races. The latter is planned for this weekend only.
They say this is just a trial, but I'm apprehensive about the effect on game balance. I guess if it's only available for players really far back...

On one hand, IIRC this item just removes your reserves when it runs out, so we'll likely be unable to use it to keep blue fire through Slide Colosseum.
On the other, hanging back at the beggining to grab one, then using it to breeze through, could be problematic.
No item mode would be welcome after all.
I think the super engine is a good idea, if you can only get it fairly far back. A way to help players catch up, without slowing down the players ahead.
I just played an online match in Tiny Arena where there were no clocks or orbs. Wow.
I feel a bit bad for Beenox. The fandom has become really toxic following the implementation of microtransactions, but whatever shitty business practices Activision is up to, the developers of this game clearly are invested in making this as good an experience as possible.
I’m still waiting for them to fix the unblockable online missiles...
Fixing the atrociously bad lag on Switch would really help my own playing experience online.
It gets really hard to keep playing when laggy bullshit I can't defend against happens during the online races. There has been a few times were somewhat sent a bomb that on my screen missed me by a mile but still hit me anyways.

The turbo engine (or whatever that power-up is called) really caught me off guard online. But so far its implementation seems good, it only appears when you're at the latter half of the players, and it can potentially really help unlucky players that got screwed over by a barrage of projectiles to get back in the game.
I finally finished collecting everything from the Pit Stop! And not a single penny was spent on microtransactions.
anyone else see the leak?
