I never said anything about cutting the developer relics, though, just not requiring platinum for 106% completion.
N. Sanely Perfect relics are no-death all-crate runs. Doing either on their own is fine, but they're a real pain to get both at the same time with how dangerous some paths to some crates are. Especially the ones with mount.
I want to give Crash Team Racing (Nitro Fueled) a try to at least put a Crash game into my library and experience it. My concern is that I tried it playing a demo and did very badly. I not only finished last, it was by a long shot. Of course I was using a Playstation control which I wasn't used to yet.
I've improved in Mario Kart, by learning about boosts. Story mode aside (which I'd like to finish), how does this differ from Mario Kart?
The boost system is a lot more involved than Mario Kart and that's where most of the challenge comes from. The gist of it is, you want to chain drift boosts pretty much all the time to keep them going. This will also keep the boosts from turbo pads going, which are faster. It can be pretty hard to master, but once you do you can leave the AI in the dust, especially on tracks with super turbo pads (which is hard to control but extremely fast).
There are some other more advanced techniques as well, though you won't really need those unless you want to beat the hardest time trials. I'd highly recommend looking into some guides if you get the game. The skill floor and ceiling are both higher than Mario Kart, for better or worse. So, if you want a more challenging experience, it's great, go for it. If you want something more casual though, it's not the best.
Another key difference from is that the karts feel a lot heavier to control, which will take some adjusting to if you're used to Mario.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonPeople dont seem to have brought it up here but the V As for both Crash and Cortex have been teasing something on Instagram. Ya think we are gettin Crash 4 DLC? Or maybe a new game?
Uni catPeople are speculating it's a tease for an E3 Smash reveal.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIt's probably something else. It wouldn't make sense for them to be voice acting for a character going to be revealed and presumably released so soon, and Nintendo seems very determined to keep the DLC fighters secret. Crash could still be a Smash reveal at E3, but the voice actors are almost certainly not teasing it.
The system isn't really comparable. Crash has difficulty levels, which provide a direct bump to the speed of CPU karts, but the player's speed is unaffected. Instead, how fast the player goes is dependent on sustaining boosts from turbo pads and powerups. This isn't necessary on the lower difficulties, and conversely used effectively it makes even the highest difficulty CPU feel like they're using 50 CC compared to a 150 or even 200 CC player.
It only really matters in the hardest time trials and PVP, though.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Interesting that it's only on Switch, you'd think this would go to Playstation first. Still, would definitely be a ridiculous deal if I didn't already have all the titles.

After 106% completing Crash 4, I thought how I would have changed the game's progression:
Anything anyone disagrees with?
