Could someone please state the justification for flagging Manga.Hanamaru Kindergarten, because so far I can't find one.

Anime News Network describes is as a comedy with "mild objectionable content."

The Other Wiki says it is "about a kindergarten girl who is in love with her teacher and tries to win his affection but always fails." The teacher in question explicity does not return her affection, and is instead interested in his adult collegue.

My Anime List has the following review:

''Let me start off by saying this is a cute and innocent anime. Despite having a similar premise, this series is nothing like the Pedobear anime Kodomo Jikan. I don't generally do early season reviews, but since the only other review gave it a 1/10 I think a less bias grade is necessary.

Plot: The story revolves around a male kindergarten teacher's first class ever. He is shocked to see the job is a little harder than he thought it would be... especially since one of the little girls wants to marry him. So far (as of episode 2) the episodes have centered around the three main girls doing cute and stupid things. This is a pretty mellow comedy series. It reminded me alot of the Yotsubato Manga series (made by the same author as azumanga daioh!). It also reminded me of Aishiteruze Baby. If you are wanting gut busting laughs or ecchi comedy this isn't the anime you're looking for.''

I think it's someone who doesn't know that marriage =/= sex(ualization).

...I think the person who flagged that has never actually read/seen that, because it's not pornographic nor pedo-pandering by any means. It's a slice-of-life involving kindergartners, for christ's sake.

Yeah, reading through it the children are amazingly unsexualized and it seems to be a case of Father, I Want to Marry My Brother. It's just cute.

Okay, I read through the first ten chapters of Velvet Kiss and to be honest, I'm leaning towards giving it a devilhead right now. Its plot:porn ratio is a tad too skewed towards the latter for my liking.

I'm still on the fence on Velvet Kiss. There's more of a plot than Nozoki Ana, though it seems to have more porn as well (read: explicit sex every chapter).

Well, is there anything to the plot beyond facilitating the porn?

There is, but for me the question is "Is it enough?"

The fact that there's explicit sex in literally every chapter leaves me thinking, "Not really..."

Personal opinion: If there's simultaneously a high concentration of plot and a high concentration of porn, the work should be kept.

Isn't part of the reason we're getting rid of pages on porn is because there'd be little to talk about other than the sex? If so, I'd say it's highly in its favor for it to have a lot of plot to talk about independent of the sex.

Catbert Since: Jan, 2012

[up]Along those lines, another question to ask is how focused on the porn part is our page? I think that if our page really emphasizes the porny nature to the point where it creates a strong appearance of violating our policies on porn and lewdness, that would weigh against retaining that page. If the page finds plently of things to talk about other than sex, then it would weigh in favor of retaining the page. It should not be the deciding factor, but I do think it should be a factor to consider.

I mean, if I understand this correctly, the main reason we are doing this is not so much because of any inherent objection to porn, but because a porn focused page doesn't meet Fast Eddie's conception of "Family Friendly" and he thinks that pages on porn are too difficult to keep free of lewdness.

Also, it is worth reminding folks that "Clean and Lock" are always an option.

[up]Granted I cant speak for the 5p but I don't think our page on anything is a contributing factor other then, to clean or not to clean? Seeing as a page on something can be edited by trolls or creepy fans unless its locked so a works sexual content maybe exaggerated.

Well, it can be a good indicator of how the fanbase views the work. Having a clean page is only a tiny point in its favor, but it's still a point. It didn't matter for, say, Kn J, but it might make a difference here.

[up]Conversely, a works page that needs serious work to into the "acceptable" region can hurt its chances of being angelheaded. (see xtifr's comment re: restoring tropes on Gor's page)

[up]@ramidel: While it's not something I am considering at the moment, that may be the tipping point in its favor if I am still at a loss when I'm done reading through Velvet Kiss. While using a cut work as an example is probably not the best way to approach things, Yume Miru Kusuri could have passed despite the "High Sexual Content" tag on VNDB (neglecting the issue of Nekoko).

On an entirely unrelated note, I'll be taking Thursday night (and possibly Friday morning) off as I will be celebrating my birthday and thus too inebriated (or hung over) to do my job properly.

A question to ask might be "If the sex was removed, would people still read it for what was left?"

I'm not familiar with the work in question, but Discar makes it sound like the answer might be yes.
