VNDB didn't have much information on it when I did a really quick check, but it did have the shotacon tag. However, none of the characters actually look particularly young to me. Then again, they're all furries so it's hard for me to tell. The amount of sexual content was not stated.

That's the reason I suggested it be put up for a thread. As in, apparent age seems indefinite, and no one there really looks like a "kid" to me except maybe the catboy and he looks like a teen, to me. But then I'm not familiar with furry shit so... yeah. I'm just thinking this one definitely needs a bit more discussion. If the catboy is indeed a kid, yeah, I'd support a cut because it could be grooming (ewww) but... otherwise it doesn't seem any worse than a furry gay version of say, Katawa Shoujo or Love Plus etcetera, especially with what it seems from the page that you have to get to know the characters before you fuck them - which would imply at least some bare threads of plot and Character Development.

[up][up] Technically, it is one possible phonetic reading of the kanji for "black heart" (though it would be more proper to pronounce it kuroi kokoro [kun'yomi] or kokushin [on'yomi]), but as [up] demonstrates, it's subject to Alternate Character Reading.

The Woodsman appears to have been cut. It's a movie about a pedophile, but definitely isn't pedoshit and had mainstream distribution.

Actually, not seeing it on the cut list. Could have sworn it used to exist and it has some red links to it.

[up][up]It never had a page. If it was cut, the page would be locked. It might have been a character archetype page, and been moved. Or it may have been cut for being a stub (a long time ago - I don't know when the movie came out.) You're meant to make redlinks to works, so it is easier to get a trope list when the works' page is made.

Okay... I noticed that Mitsudomoe got a vote to ban.

Really? Really?????

We're banning potty humor now? I mean Mitsudomoe isn't porn or anything to do with pedo appeal. It doesn't even have a single Panty Shot. It's like a cross between South Park and Roseanne that uses Kids Say The Damndest Things as a major source of humor. Actually South Park is way way more scandalous in it's jokes then Mitsudomoe.

I mean. I can totally get that people might not like it. Or even find it disgusting. It's one of those comedies that runs off of jokes you feel guilty about laughing at. But that wasn't the purpose of this purge was it? If so are we going to ban South Park? Cause South Park goes way way further than Mitsudomoe.

To give you a few examples of the type of humor:

The 6th grade class gets a new teacher. The class has three sisters in it who are the problem children of the class. The girls see that the new teacher is crushing on the school nurse and decide they should help him out in his courtship. Through cartoon logic they decide that the best way to help is to kick him the groin. Hilarity Ensues.

The 6th grade get a hamster as a class pet, and the teacher suggests the class name it. The class picks the name "nipples" with the teacher facepalming about it. Then follows the running gag about the students talking about Nipples (the hamster) and a Mistaken for Index plot.

So yes. The show runs on pervy potty humor. Is this really being cut for that? If so, then why is South Park not being cut?

Perhaps this is because someone noticed the Loli Con tag, if so they must have missed the comment that pointed out that the character accused of this is not a lolicon but instead just finds weirdos extremely interesting to observe. There is no sexual interest in the children by any of the adults. The children are never presented to the audience as something to sexualize.

I just don't think this in anyway falls under any of the guidelines for removal.

Possibly because of things like:

  • Chick Magnet — Shinya Satou, so much that perhaps half of the school was chasing him in order to get a date by being the first to show him their (link to Panty Shot) panties (end link) — even the (link to Shotacon) old janitor (end link) wanted to date him too.

  • Goofy Print Underwear — A running gag is that Mitsuba tends to wear animal-print panties, despite being the oldest of the triplets.

  • I See London — A major source of comedy throughout the series.

  • Lolicon — Implied: Miku's mom.
    • As of Zouryouchuu episode two, a Shotacon, too.
      • Not so much either. She just seems to obsess over (link to Freaky Is Cool) quirkiness (end link). In children. To a point where she'll try to hide in classrooms...

  • Porn Stash — Yabe has one out in the open, but then it is his apartment. He just wasn't expecting Hitoha to make a duplicate key and break in...and that's not even saying anything about Hitoha's massive stash. Yabe's stash turns out to be Futaba's undoing in the cockroach-smashing episode.

(Hitoha appears to be one of the children, for reference.)

  • Shotacon — See Lolicon example.

  • She's Got Legs — Mitsuba.

(Another of the children, apparently.)

From the YMMV tab:

  • Les Yay — (links to Lolicon) Miku's mother (end link) for Mitsuba.

    • The rivalry between Mitsuba and Miku is filled with so much subtext that you don't even need yuri goggles to see it. Miku's habit of constantly taking pictures of Mitsuba (supposedly so she can use them for blackmail) doesn't help.
    • Miyashita's almost obsessive attempts to befriend Hitoha occasionally come off as this.

And on Headscratchers, the last bullet point:

  • Why the heck does the father of the triplets get arrested so often? He even gets hassled by the police when carrying one of his daughters home. That doesn't make any sense.
    • Japan is weird like that. In a society where being conspicious is considered offensive, it's entirely possible to get hassled by the police just for LOOKING suspicious.
      • Still, if nothing else, you'd think that he gets arrested so often that the police would actually recognize him by now.
      • Also, this troper didn't even get hassled while being a foreigner taking pictures of students at an all-girl high school. Well, being female helps, perhaps.

And possibly other things I missed.

Even South Park isn't this... enthusiastic about that sort of humor.

[up][up] bullshit

You have obviously not watched a single episode.

If you aren't bothered by South Park then you wouldn't be bothered by this show. South Park goes way further then anything in Mitsudomoe.

[up][up][up]

Chick Magnet — Shinya Satou, so much that perhaps half of the school was chasing him in order to get a date by being the first to show him their (link to Panty Shot) panties (end link) — even the (link to Shotacon) old janitor (end link) wanted to date him too.

Yeah... that's not a very good description. I'm not even going to try and describe what actually happened. But I promise you it's no worse then the whole "Raisins" episode of South Park.

Why the heck does the father of the triplets get arrested so often? He even gets hassled by the police when carrying one of his daughters home. That doesn't make any sense.

Japan is weird like that. In a society where being conspicious is considered offensive, it's entirely possible to get hassled by the police just for LOOKING suspicious. How is the above evidence for banning.

"Raisins" is one of the tamest episodes of South Park and is making a huge joke about Hooters-esque restaurants. None of the little girls who work at Raisins are sexualized AT ALL out-of-universe, just pined after by the ten-year-old boys in their age bracket. It's a really bad comparison if that's what you're going for.

EDIT: I've never seen this show in question, but neither side is really helping me understand what it's actually about otherwise.

[up][up] None of the girls in Raisins were flashing their panties or making crude sexual jokes, as far as I remember. They didn't even show adults lusting after them. It was a critique of Hooters.

"Also, this troper didn't even get hassled while being a foreigner taking pictures of students at an all-girl high school. Well, being female helps, perhaps. "

That was to show the kind of edits / Tropers that page attracts.

[up]???

I don't even get what you are trying to do prove there.

Anyway, did you miss the part about show never shows the audience a pantyshot? Not ever.

Go watch the first episode. It's toilet humor, just like South Park, only tamer and with Japanese cultural jokes (like how a father out with his daughters is always assumed by the police to be a lolicon pervert- because in Japan fathers usually are too busy working and never spend a minute with their children).

As for being rude, maybe you should consider how "It's pedobait" goes over as an argument. It's like opening a debate by saying "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

[up][up] That's my point. The girls in Mitsudomoe are not sexualized either. Unless you count that one stupid 6th grade boy who thinks flipping a skirt is the ultimate nirvana. Since it's played for laughs about how stupid 6th grade boys are I don't think it's any different.

EDIT: Misunderstood your bringing up of Raisins. Anyways.

You saying there's no panty shots, and this entry:

Goofy Print Underwear — A running gag is that Mitsuba tends to wear animal-print panties, despite being the oldest of the triplets. - She has a collection of Zodiac animals, too!

Are contradictory. If it really is no worse than South Park, it'll probably go through. I would watch it now but I leave for work in about five minutes.

"I See London — A major source of comedy throughout the series."

Then what about this?

Sackett Since: Jan, 2001
#1021: May 12th 2012 at 5:54:09 PM

[up][up]No. Mistuba is the girl who is constantly trying to prove herself superior and "oh so much more mature" then all the other girls. Part of that includes claiming that she's "not that innocent" in her clothing choices.

Then one day through a series of "comedic mishaps" the other girls that she tries to lord over end up seeing the contents of her underwear drawer, and discover that she wears innocent little girl panties. You see them sitting in a drawer. Not a Panty Shot.

Oh yes, and there was that other plotline where one of the panties has a hamster on it, and the pet hamster falls in love with it and so follows her around everywhere making her sister extremely jealous.

Mistudomoe could be shown before the watershed- easy. I wouldn't bring it into an actual highschool classroom to watch, but then I'm pretty strict on that, I wouldn't show most Jim Carrey movies in a highschool classroom, there's always someone who'll complain. Also it'd depend on the episode. Much like South Park.

[up] Either A) the person in their underwear is offscreen. Or B) it's the Butt-Monkey teacher being subjected to his ritual humiliation every other episode. Episode 2 was a classic example.

I'm trying to think of the most controversal thing in the show...

Probably Futaba's (one of the triplet girls) obsession with large breasts. It's implied that this is probably because her mother is dead. (The main thing she wants with large beasts is to rest her head on them and go to sleep).

[up] Apparently you didn't actually read that wall of text.

If you had you'd have noticed that I pointed out how it was in the darker gray area. Pointed out that it had disturbing images, even if the storyline was anti-pedo (which it is), and suggested that it be cleaned up and then locked rather then just being cut.

I also pointed out that I could understand though if you decided to ban it.

But I guess in your world that makes me a lying untrustworthy pedo.

You are obviously prejudiced, and have the attitude of cutting anything that you haven't seen, cause who gives a crap about stuff that isn't yours.

It Mitsudomoe some great enlightening show? No. It's toilet humor. It makes jokes about kids naming their pet hamster "Nipples".

It's the exact same type of humor that's in South Park. The only differences are that 1: South Park has a libertarian agenda while Mitsudomoe is just about making people laugh. 2: South Park has gone way further beyond the line then Mitsudomoe ever dreamed of. Remember that South Park once had a penis attached to the back of a mouse. I quite sure with that taken out of context you could make that sound horribly perverted.
