Weird, I was just reading about the Proust Questionnaire. My answers won’t be as deep as his, but:

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Aside from physical pain (which I do not want to underestimate) it would probably be realizing I can’t change the things I hate about myself, and that I am trapped in the life of someone who bores and irritates me.

What is your idea of earthly happiness? Having basic needs provided for, being loved and admired, being competent and confident in your own abilities, having hope of improvement.

To what faults do you feel most indulgent? Being too indulgent of the faults of others. Insecurity and laziness.

Who are your favorite heroes/heroines of fiction? Many of them are on the Knight in Sour Armour page.

Who are your favorite characters in history? Isaac Newton.

Who are your favorite heroes/heroines in real life? People who exemplify my answers to “qualities I admire.”

Your favorite painter/visual artist? Van Gogh. It’s a clichéd answer for a reason.

Your favorite composer/musician? In terms of most listened to, Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish and Handel.

The quality you most admire in a person? Creativity and verbal intelligence, although compassion and integrity are probably more important traits.

Your favorite virtue? What’s the opposite of acedia?

If not yourself, who would you have liked to be? The friend I envy most.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes? See my answer to the “greatest misery” question.

What word or expression do you most overuse? Probably um or like, but I’ll say abysmal.

Who are your favorite poets/lyricists? I tend to like various poems and songs without being particularly loyal to their creators. I generally prefer prose authors.

What are your favorite names? Sophie, Annemarie, Justine, Severine. Noticing a pattern?

What is it you most dislike? What is bad about me. Also plagiarists. And people who think there witty and original when their really not. And people who can’t use apostrophes and homophones. And grammar Nazis. And hypocrites.

Which natural gift would you most like to possess? Musical talent. I have almost Salieri-like levels of envy about it. I’d also like to be better at writing.

How would you like to die? Proust said it best: "Improved—and loved."

What is your motto? I don’t know….Winter is coming?

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
About 7 miles. Hating everything about yourself.

What is your idea of earthly happiness?
Not getting killed by malevolent trees. Being able to lie back and relax or just do whatever you want.

To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
The San Andreas fault. I can never get mad at it. Procrastination.

Who are your favorite heroes/heroins of fiction?
Heroin, of course. Shinji's pretty cool in the Rebuild movies, I guess. I haven't thought about this much, it'll take me a while to decide.

Who are your favorite characters in history?
R. It's really underrated, and basically holds the word "history" together. Beethoven's pretty cool, as are Einstein and Tesla. Again, hard to decide.

Who are your favorite heroes/heroines in real life?
Kanye West. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are really cool. Also, Gaben.

Your favorite painter/visual artist?
Chris-chan. Salvador Dali's good. I'm having a hard time thinking of people for these questions.

Your favorite composer/musician?
Grozart. Not Mozart; Grozart. Beethoven's awesome. In a "favorite band" type of way, though... too many to choose from. Electric Light Orchestra, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc.

The quality you most admire in a person?
1080p. Kindness.

Your favorite virtue?
Courage. I like not taking damage once every 30 seconds. I haven't managed to play GW 2 at all, yet, though, so it's all speculation. Empathy. Does empathy count? If so, empathy.

If not yourself, who would you have liked to be?
I would have like to be a rock star. However, since I am myself, I would like to be an astronaut. Some engineer or something, whose inventions managed to help people. Or an artist. I dunno, I like being me.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?
Inheriting Fort Knox, only to find out that all of the gold was chocolate wrapped in foil. Losing complete control of yourself but still being aware. Or finding out that everything you've done has obviously hurt people, but you've never seen it.

What word or expression do you most overuse?
A blank face, since most of the time I don't really have strong feelings one way or another. I guess. No, literally, "I guess".

Who are your favorite poets/lyricists?
Insane Clown Posse. I'm not really too well versed in poetry... no pun intended.

What are your favorite names?
Seymour Butts, Ben Dover, Mike Hunt. I don't really have favorite names. Constance and Meredith are nice, I guess. Eh, I always have a hard time choosing favorites in questions like this.

What is it you most dislike?
Bigoted youtube videos made by politicians. Injustice / unfairness, and not listening to people or just ignoring them.

Which natural gift would you most like to possess?
A rock. The ability to motivate myself to do anything.

How would you like to die?
Using gloves. I hate having my hands be red, green, and blue whenever I'm making tie-dye shirts. Peacefully, in my sleep. And after having lived a fulfilling life, but I'm not sure if that counts for "how".

What is your motto?
If you're not first, you're last. Caw caw, rawr! Umm... be yourself? Think your way through things?

Wait, weren't there more questions before?

And to say I was nervous... it wouldn't be quite enough.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

To watch everything of sentimental value to you be destroyed.

What is your idea of earthly happiness?

Twilight just as the birds begin to wake, no responsibilities or duties to attend to, nobody around and no chance of anythign disturbing you, some simple raw foods with a cup of tea, and indulgence in an amusing and warm story.

To what faults do you feel most indulgent?

I don't quite understand the question. Answering about my own faults that I tend to fall to. Laziness is the most consistent, while greed, ruthlessness, and not caring about others' rights or feelings is the most extreme. Couldn't decide which I should list.

Who are your favorite heroes/heroins of fiction?

Kiritsugu, Kyubey and Anomander Rake, probably. I'm aware it says heroes.

Who are your favorite characters in history?

Not quite sure. Alexander? Churchill? Mad Jack? Hawking?

Who are your favorite heroes/heroines in real life?

I'm afraid I really don't have an answer for this one.

Your favorite painter/visual artist?

Dali and Escher are pretty cool. Alas, I don't know much about anything art-related. I haven't recognized anyone dedicated to my favourite visual style, either.

Your favorite composer/musician?

Also don't know much about music. The few people I know I'm indecisive about. I'm afraid that, once again, I cannot give an answer.

The quality you most admire in a person?

Caring. Results don't matter so long as the kind-hearted intent exists and is consistently present.

Your favorite virtue?

Patience.

If not yourself, who would you have liked to be?

While I can't say I'm entirely content with my life, there's no one else I'd rather be. Well, maybe me if I had a little more drive.

What to your mind would be the greatest of misfortunes?

Again, watching everything of sentimental value to you be destroyed.

What word or expression do you most overuse?

So many to choose from. I'll say though and however. I use sufficient a lot, but it doesn't bother me.

Who are your favorite poets/lyricists?

Once again, I know of none. Well, I guess you could count Steven Erikson as a poet. Kinda'. I do like his poems.

What are your favorite names?

Maxamillian, Aaron, Cristina, I guess.

What is it you most dislike?

Dial-up.

Which natural gift would you most like to possess?

Copying X, I've gotta' say flight.

How would you like to die?

In my sleep.

What is your motto?

No real motto, but a collection of personal adages. If I was to choose one of them... No pleasure without pain.

Wait, weren't there more questions before?

Yeah, well, the original Proust Questionnaire has a couple more questions. I felt some were duplicata and others were slightly Flame Bait-y. And some questions weren't very...informative (like, "What's your favourite flower?" If anybody wants to know, I like cacti).

Oh, heroines? While I'm not a fan of any varieties of illegal drug, there are a few fictional females I like.

Whoops! Thanks for pointing out that typo. Darn homophones...
