If TGWTG wiki is correct, I can see where he's coming from. I wouldn't want the poor guy to suffer from Scott Mosier Syndrome.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. How many contributers have yet to be in an Anniversary special? I don't remember Jesu Otaku being in Suburban Knihgts, and I'd like to see Blockbuster Buster in this one as well as Iron Liz make an official appearsnce (she was a Shade in Sunurban Knights.

I'll just stand here... and... pose.
Apparently, this is the last massive one, so most of the newer folks will probably never get to be in one, and if they do it'll be at the cost of some of the regulars.
I took the scale comment to be about the number of contributors, not the size of the plot.
Granted, this was before I found out they'd be in space...guess I didn't reajust my perspective to account for that.

Okay. I assumed it was a cost saving measure, and, well, what's more expensive—CG spaceship sets (which Angry Joe and Linkara use on a regular basis) or flying 25+ people to Chicago and keeping them there for a week?
I never said I thought there'd be no more specials, just no more with such massive casts. (And frankly, most of the members tend to go to waste anyway.)

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I do agree that a smaller cast would drastically improve how characters could be written. Either that or having some people in smaller roles rather than having one large group of wacky characters. I haven't been disappointed by any of the anniversaries yet, but it is kind of upsetting when someone is there only for their character to end up completely ignored or left undeveloped. There's really no way to balance it out when they're all together in a group.
Maybe if they went the route of something like Its A Mad Mad Mad Mad World and split everyone into smaller groups it could work a lot better

They had the right idea with the two teams in Suburban Knights, they just didn't take it far enough.
I did take that into consideration. It did have a much better balance I'd say, though it did end up having to make certain people be relegated to the background or one-liner dispensers. It all just comes back to the problem being that if you want to give your stars equal billing, you need to make sure you don't waste them. Or, alternately, just limit the star players and make sure it's easy to tell who the main focuses are so you can give them proper character development.
And this is why I'll never be able to write an Ensemble Cast type of production.

It's much easier when its serialized, I gather, as opposed to one flick.
Speaking of which, who wants to bet it's 9 parts this year?

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'm looking forward to it, but I fear that this may even close off more fans to the in-jokes than Kickassia did. Not everyone follows ALL the reviewers' complete videos- heck, I only follow the Nostalgia Critic- and yet here we have another crossover with even more site members, with Linkara's villain having a major role in the storyline! Also, we're going to have a science fiction storyline in space, a genre I am not familiar with. The only title from that genre I can actually get the in-joke from is Star Wars and I didn't enjoy the Critic's Star Trek Month as much as I wanted to.
..... wait! Bhargav left?

He left in February- because he wanted to do his own thing, he's still friends with the Chicago crew. And the site is big on continuity now, it's just something that the reviews-only liking people have to deal with.
- How deliciously painful would it be if Critic was still desperately looking for Ma-Ti, even going into space for it, and we knew he was never coming back?

I'd hope that they at least give some explanations in the movie about...which Atop The Fourth Wall villain was it going to be again? Was it Mechakara? Either way, whoever it is, I know that I know the villain's backstory, but some random schmuck who doesn't watch AT4W won't have any idea who the hell this is supposed to be.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. It was Mechakara yes, and knowing Linkara's tendency to ramble, they'll probably get at least a little bit of As You Know in for the newbies.
It's a sci-fi thing, right?
9/10 chance we'll get an Opening Scroll.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Holy crap you're right! We WM Ged that the 4th year special would focus on the Critic's continuing adventures of finding a way to bring Ma-Ti back to life.... and now, after Doug and Rob finished the script and before filming commensed, Bargo bailed?!?!? Wow. I hope they didn't have any major production issues from that!

It's a ruse, because without Bhargo leaving getting Ma-Ti back is a Foregone Conclusion.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Bhargo may have left Channel Awesome, but that would not prevent him making a brief cameo, probably as a vision of some sort.
A smaller cast in subsequent specials sounds like a good idea since many of the cast members have been basically extras or redundant in Kickassia and Suburban Knights.

Every time a fairy says that it doesn't believe in humans, a human child dies.I'd prefer if they kept the same sized cast but gave a lot of them smaller/less developed roles. I don't see that being very workable however.
"Hey X, wanna come do this role where you'll get 3 minutes of screen time and two lines?"
isn't really worth all the effort/time/money.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote? It could lead to a lot more review crossovers though due to those people having a lot more downtime.
