I refuse to ever trust Bleeding Cool, since they’re basically a shitty gossip rag, but based on King’s comments on twitter, this might be true.
Can he stop writing Heroes in Crisis too?
I think the last fifteen issues or so of King's run could be repurposed into a seperate title, especially if it's about Bruce and Selina's relationship as is speculated.
I suspect part of the reason is Hulk jumping over Batman in sales. Not the biggest reason, but a sign that King's run might have been slowly losing interest.

Mileena MadnessIt was still one of DC top sellers though.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Huh the Arkham Knight is a woman.
Didn't expect that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Latest word on King's dismissal is that DC higher ups never liked the run, but because it was selling well and received critical acclaim, their hands were tied. As soon as sales dipped due to the Knightmares arc, coupled with a few creative disagreements over the direction of the forthcoming City of Bane arc, King was removed.
He'll be allowed to finish his story, either in the pages of Catwoman or a separate series.

Who made the final decision to take him off the book? I thought King was DC's fair haired boy.
Bob Harras was named as the one who made the call.
If King is off the book (I remain somewhat skeptical), who would y'all like to see takeover the main Batman book after he's gone?

I was going to say "Bendis!" to annoy everyone but honestly I think he could do a good job on a Batman solo.
Any word on why exactly the higher ups don't like Tom King's run? Aside from the wedding, it's been great. Is there just not enough nastiness for DC execs?
Also i have to ask, in the context of the new 52, why isn't Riddler considered the worst criminal in Gotham instead of the Joker? i mean Riddler's first crime was him reducing Gotham into a wasteland for a couple of months, and all i understand what the Joker did in his first year of the New 52 was kill a bunch of people. Riddler had an entire year named after what he did, so it's hard for the Joker to top that. I mean in the Death of the Family the Joker is the dreaded to the criminal underworld, but i would imagine with what Riddler did, he should have that rep.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I’d love to see Joelle Jones take over Batman. She worked on King’s run as an artist for a while, she’s done well on Catwoman, and tbh I just want a woman to write the main Batman book.
And knowing DC, getting fired by email after 4 issues.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Why bring that up? Gail got rehired immediately afterward anyways, and it’s been years since New 52’s mess. Things are a lot smoother and more professional over there these days.
as someone who hasnt enjoyed kings run outside of a few standalone issues im happy. while im usually not a fan of bendis, hes actually great at street level stuff so maybe batman can just do street level detective stuff again for a bit instead of everything ever is a conspiricy by bane drawn out for far too long
Just hope he doesn’t make Batman a rambler.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You think he'd make Batman a rambler?
If he wants too probably.
Bendis does what Bendis wants.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Bendis does what Bendis wants? Really? What Bendis wants?
ill take rambling over im gonna break your back bat cat bat cat im gonna break your back
Bane was cool in Secret Six and that was the only time.
He’s very....... he just cares about what he thinks when writing.
Heh Bane got flandarized.
