It got extended, because every time it was Aislinn's turn, she'd go into this mental sketchpad mode, which didn't happen in the manga at all.
Edit: Fug, lack of sleep = not in the right frame of mind to edit the character entries aside from replacing pictures. Ugh.

They also changed the specifics of what Aislinn can do, much like Shiromi's case. In the manga she was always guaranteed a tenpai, not necessarily a high-scoring hand.
Here however, Aislinn can more or less envision the hand she wants, the hands of her opponents, and then the steps she needs to do to get to that point. There's quite a difference, as I think one of the hands Aislinn pictured was a yakuman.
Yeah it's quite a leap from "always tenpai' (meaning a guaranteed win and small point increase per round), to "If I can imagine this kind of hand, based on what's already on the table and what my opponents' hands, I'll get it and win big!"
Incidentally, apparently all the hands that Aislinn tried to imagine were all orthodox hands despite their score values, so in effect what happens to her is the same as in the manga — since Mako saw the familiar table states that would give Aislinn those hands, it was easy for her to disrupt.

Oh, and new chapter of Shinohayu is up. It's still centered on Kana, but it continues to wonderfully showcase just why she's like this... And how she's not always this always Serious Business competitive brat. Glad to see Kyouka sees how things are.
Also LOL Ritz. "I'm playing so much and yet I still feel incomplete."
Shino walks in through the door
Subtle, that line by Kanna at the end isn't.

Episode 5:
- The Cape was ripped to shreds in one move. Worse, it was the final move of the game! Poor Yuuki.
- Aw, I rather like Team Eisui's comraderie.
- Darn you, substitute coach! Why'd ya have a permanent marker?
- My, Aislinn has quite the power. She would've stomped everyone into non-existence. Well, not today! It's Mako time!
- Awai always gives me the chills. She's awesome like that!
Episode 6.
I have to say, the impact of Hisa's breakdown was a little diminished compared to the manga, where the gaps in between chapters as well as Ritz's usual slowness added a measure of dread to it. Here? It was resolved in half an episode.
Her comeback was still awesome though — take note, much of the lesbian haxx superpowers can't actually be seen by the audience. What Hisa did here however, with the tile flip, WAS. The cheers were merited.
Also, LOL Achiga-hen Call-Back. Nice to see Kei Arakawa and her collection of mental ward patients again, and more foreshadowing for the Individuals. This kind of confirms that Jindai will come back for that, but that might be years down the road at this rate.
Next episode should be the rest of Hisa's comeback, as well as one of the eye-rolling parts of the Nationals, aka Nodoka being as thick as a brick concerning the supernatural hijinks happening around her.
Episode 6:
- Commentator Lunch Time. It was pretty nice.
- Hey, it's Kei and pals, meaning it's during Team Achiga's training session with them.
- Hisa was having some crippling hang-ups. Then she did her signature tile-flip. Oh yeah, She's Back!!
- Haru's cute.
Episode 7:
- Gotta love Hiroe's Awesome Ego.
- Sae looks so classy with that monocle. Then again, monocles make anything classy.
- What a Dynamic Entry, Hitsumi. And nice Nodoka impression, Hisa.
- ETOPEN'S...gonna be fine.
- It's raining. It's foggy. Hitsumi's up north. Time to see her terrifying power.
That's one tough penguin.
She's pretty much all offence though. She can defend well enough against normal players, but against players with supernatural powers, Nodoka has no chance of winning because she's unable to recognise and counter them.
Ah, but of course, like in the case of Momo, Nodoka's ability actually gives her an edge instead. So yeah, it depends on the opponents' powers.

Aside from the animation upgrade, they actually didn't hype her more nor extend her match compared to the manga...
And what do you mean best match? Hisa's was painful to read... and made me question why she hadn't thought of all of that stuff in the previous round where she knocked a team out effortlessly.
