The answers are obvious:
- Machine Man's boot springs
- US-1's skull plate/CB radio
- Batman's Bat-Shark Repellant
Heads up, evil.

I spoke with a friend, and here are his choices:
- A Legion Of Superheroes flight ring
- Thor's strength-amplifying belt
- Superboy's visor (for a while in Kon-El's early days, he wore a visor that allowed him to fire energy beams, and gave him enhanced senses like his "cousin")

I'd go with;
—The iMan (the portable Iron Man from Warren Ellis' Ultimate Armor Wars, which is basically just a chest plate that amplifies muscle power; as close to Powered Armor without being Powered Armor) —Ultimate Thor's high-tech axe/hammer —The Jarvis AI from the Iron Man movie and Avengers cartoon

Here's the setting: It's about 3-400 years since the "Age of Heroes". A bit of a midpoint between a "technotopia" and cyberpunk (though not as grungy as Transmetropolitan or Rifts).
Several years ago, discoveries have been made about costumed heroes of the past, so a special law-enforcement was formed, where the agents utilize rebuilt items wielded by past heroes in their activities. (Other than the gear, the agents are low-level Super Soldiers).
So, as a recently hired agent, you need to choose what sort of items you'll be using. The only criteria are as follows:
I'll get things started:
Okay, one at a time, folks. Go through the list, see if anything gets your attention.

Embroiled in slave rebellion, I escaped crucifixion simply by declaring 'I am Vito', everyone else apparently being called 'Spartacus'.
