"Huh? Sure, why not?", Flick said, then handed the note over to Sheriff without having read it himself. "Besides, I can use all the help I can to get this problem under control."
Screwing up plans because I can. Really, Rock, you should've planned this better XD.
Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D"Interesting..." Sheriff muttered...
Then he read the letter out loud.
"So, why'd you lie, Rock?" he said. Casually. Like he was asking what Rock's favorite color was. "I mean, just a personal preference, that, like... Teammates shouldn't lie to, ah, eachother."
He stayed pedestrian as he walked down the stairs, to the lobby. "You mind explaining?"
"Wait, what?", Flick said, his face and body language showing honest confusion. "But... What? So the note isn't about my powers?" Well now, that's... interesting news, to say the least.. Flick thought, making sure to keep his face in a state of confusion. ...Which, honestly, wasn't all that hard; he really thought that the note would be about his powers.

Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D"Hmm? Oh, Yes, Of Course, the Explanation's Perfectly Simple!" Rock's cheerful demeanour had not faltered in the slightest. "I wanted to Warn Flick about That, but Also Didn't Want to let Anyone Else know About It Because- Well, It's Not That I Don't Trust You, Of Course, But- You Never Know what One Might Accidentally Let Slip, You Understand? And While I'm Sure Nobody Here would ever Resort to Violence, we Shouldn't give Other People the Tempatation if We Can Help It!"
He laughed. "So I Just thought it would be Best Flick was the Only One I let Know about It! Sorry if I've Offended You!"
"Am I? I Hadn't Noticed! I really am Sorry if it's Bothering You! And Nothing in Particular, I just Wanted to Talk Things Over with Him, Answer any Concerns he Might have Had, Make Sure he wouldn't Do Anything Irresponsible! The Only Reason I Wanted to have The Talk in Private was Because of the Reasons I just Mentioned for Lying about what The Note was About!"
Blue nodded with each word. "Ice, steam. Your power has flexibility. Lethal flexibility. Life-saving flexibility," he grinned wirly. "I'm fortunate I allied with you."
He rolled up his sleeve and ran his fingers across his skin. A slightly shiny sheen reflected on the light, barely noticable to those whose focu wasn't on that certain area. Not even red marks last. However, he cringed from the sharp pain. "As the letter said, bio-armor. It's an unusual term, but I would say more like hardened skin. Or rather, enhanced skin. From what I observed yesterday, as long as I can handle the pain, not even a scratch mark will remain.
"It'll probably take something like a bullet to break through my skin. And guns aren't allowed. This basically means that I'm the shield of the team, and with your power in the equation, we can easily find our targets and kill them."
Flip shudders. "Do.. do we HAVE to kill them? I.. Don't really want to. I mean, they're people too! Can't we find another way... Or... I guess we can. It won't be all that bad, really." Flip grins and turns to Blue. "I suppose I can.. If I HAVE to.." But her tone does not indicate her unwillingness.. It indicates eagerness and the ability to do it.
I ship it.She's depressed. And it's not an act either.... Why?
Link thinks for a moment about the few events of the day. Oh right, the kiss.
It might annoy Blue, but so will the sulking.
He bends down, gently lifts Ace's hand and kisses it.
"My powers are coming along fine. I just have no idea how much emotional change I can cause. As long as it isn't too much of a jump I should be fine."
He sits back on the bed.
Flip is lying through her teeth about the killing. Let's see if I can harness that.
"Still if we want someone dead it's all too easy. The quality of the locks here isn't great, given some lock picks and enough time I could probably open a door. If we wanted we could probably bribe someone for that other contestant's room number and kill him in the middle of the night."
He pauses.
"I'd recommend we find a way to kill him instantly. I'd suggest just sending in Blue with a knife to deliver a coup de grace, but I really think we should call that girl and ask what she thinks a weapon is in this case. After all it's no fun for anyone if we end up with two dead people."

Bet you didn't see that coming"Honestly, I wasn't planning on doing anything "irresponsible".", Flick said. "Thanks for the concern though." His thoughts continued to process this new situation. I don't even have my powers under control yet, so it´s not like I stand a chance in battle anyways. Still... How did you learn about this anyways? Note to self: Rock is either A: good with intelligence and spying, B: a backstabbing traitor, or C: both.

Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D"Glad to Hear It!" said Rock. "Looks Like I was Worried For Nothing! Now, Why Don't we Just Forget this Ever Happened and Have A good Meal! I know I'm Absolutely Useless before I've had anything to Eat in the Mornings, though I suppose That's Not All That Different From How I am after I Eat!" He laughed. And then, having reached the bottom if the stairs, and turned and faced Sherrif.
"Anyway, really Sorry for Having Tried to Trick You Like That!" He laughed again. "Though I Should of Known Someone Like Me never Could've Fooled Someone Like You! Let's Just let Bygones be Bygones, Okay?"
Huh. That was anticlimactic., Flick thought. I guess that Sheriff either wants to keep as close of an eye as possible on Rock or figures that the other contestants are a bigger threat than Rock is, so him staying in the team has more advantages than disatvantages. Either that, or he's incredibly gullible, which I seriously doubt.
Flick shrugged, then followed the rest of his group outside. "So, Sheriff, where is that restaurant you were going to take us to anyways?"
Glass kept quiet during the whole discussion, though it was obvious from his expression how he quite certainly didn't approve of Rock's attempt at secret keeping I can't let him be alone with Flick. Not for a minute if I can help it
Great, they had made a team and instead of being safer due to it they had to guard themselves even more against those within it.
"The speakeasy. If anyone wants to meet other people, they'll check that place. But they probably don't. The teams will most probably stay in their holes for the first few days, and the others wouldn't like the company, based on what I've seen." Except the little kid, now that he messed up.
They walked outside, finding Chicago more or less how they left it. There was a slight, pleasant breeze, but with so many people on the streets, the atmosphere was uncomfortably hot.
"I'm afraid it's going to be a waste of time, but we can try our luck. Unless there are other things you think we should do." Take a hint.

Sheriff tapped Flick's hand holding the note. "You mind if I look at that too? I figure I can check it out while we head to the restaurant. I saw a breakfast place a few blocks down while we were heading here last night."
Sheriff knew by this point that he wasn't one to be particularly bright, but he never really trusted Rock or Flick to begin with. Rock was obviously ludicrously unhinged, and Flick's advanced planning and logical skill was characteristic of a real Plotter. Add onto that Rock and Glass's unique relation and this team was already somewhat unsteady. It was Sheriff's job to keep order in the team, and no backstabby behind-the-back plotting was integral.
