SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT WHY DID I MAKE THEM URGENT BLOODTHIRSTY WOULD BE BETTER....
He looks back and see Metal. Flying. At eyes.... Link ducks and turns his head. Screaming at the top of his lungs he yells.
"AS GREAT AS BYSTANDERS ARE, I'D RATHER BE HATED THAN DEAD!"
It's time for killing! Not for sitting around and being fired at!
"WE DON'T HAVE TIME, AND I DON'T HAVE THE STAMINA FOR FLEEING!"
The whole block gawks at him, but he doesn't care. Sure his life isn't that important, but he has three teammates. They could take him, and they should.
His voice lowers a bit "I'd just rather not be plagued by this heartless gadfly! Besides, the ring!"

Bet you didn't see that comingMetal. Shards.
Perhaps running wasn't the greatest idea.
Blue circled back and used his arm to block the projectiles. The pieces collided into his skin, sending sharp amount of pain prickling up his arm.
He gritted his teeth. More metal shards made contact with him. More pain pounded into him.

"Oh." He just didn't give a damn.
What lingered more on his mind were those tattoos, crawling up his arms and hands. The scribbles looked infuriatingly familiar, clawing at his mind in the most inconvenient of times. He couldn't risk having everyone else in the room call him a hoodlum, accuse him of being a Satanist...
"I think I should find a hotel."
Asimi checked the wallet he had been given, his eyes momentarily widening at the sheer amount that had been stuffed inside. And it was all his!
A celebratory meal was definitely in order, preferably at the fanciest place in town. Fuck the Orchestrator!

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."From the corner, Gauze spoke up. "In the abandoned speakeasy, for the rest of the day, where there is no food or water?"
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka fics"And you," Gauze said, "could bother to demonstrate an ounce of respect for once."
Old age; the man no longer knows how to convey meaning clearly in the English language. Excuse him.
People were allying. What Gauze had observed in here demonstrated that much.
It was so pointless. Why would anybody...he had no intention of playing the game, but those allying clearly did, to protect each other—but if they were playing, then those inside the alliance might very well end up having to kill each other.
Christ, how pointless.
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsAsimi shrugged and left without a word, then headed down the street.
He didn't have any idea where to go, just kind of hoping he would find something. Like some kind of a fight, especially this one.
He spotted a bright shine in the sun fly across the street, then strike one of those kids, that giant one. Asimi wasn't sure how he contained his amusement, but suddenly, his tattoos could wait.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth.""Everyone's leaving."
Gauze dug his foot into the ground, kicking up some dust.
"So, old man," Gauze said, still not making eye contact with his conversation partner, "you interested in playing this game? And if you're not, how do you intend on surviving?"
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsLeft with the scariest ones... Though the young man as he leaned against a wall of the speakeasy, still without having said a single word. From his pocket he fished just two items. His ring to put it on... and his identifying item, a pair of glasses.
The boy put the glasses on, deciding to call himself Glass after them. So many people had moved now... but there still were a couple remaining in the speakeasy. So he decided to remain with them.
Gauze turned away from the old man who was trying too hard. He hadn't seen the baby-faced—no, that wasn't really right, it was more girlish than anything—kid say anything.
"So?" Gauze asked. "How about you? Interested in playing the crazy lady's game?"
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsGlass thought about the question for a few moments, taking a deep breath as looked within himself for the right answers. Then, slowly he spoke, barely glancing at Gauze, whenever out of shyness, some sort of social awkwardness or merely a quirk belonging to himself... it was hard to tell "I'm not interested in such a game. I know nothing of myself... whenever I try to remember anything I draw a blank. I know how to speak... how to stand, how to walk... but when I try to think of why I know these things, how I learned them or any other motivation I had before... there's nothing. So, knowing nothing about myself I don't know what to do with the wish she offers"
Looking off to the side and idly playing with a lock of his hair he continued "However... I do know something. It... scares me. The concept of dying. It is a hollow fear but it is there. I don't want to stop living"
"He finished by looking at Gauze and saying "Thus... looking in the long term I might need to 'play' this game"
Paper shook his hand -again- with some reluctance, but she kept smiling fainlty while she did it. That was one person slighly less likely to kill her. Better than nothing, surely.
"Thank you. Let's be friends, then."
She suddenly noticed that by then, most people had already left the room. Wait, when did that happen?
And then the other man, the one who seemed closest to her age, started asking questions to everyone. Her turn would probably come soon.
While mostly everyone started to head out to do their thing and get to learn about the location, there was still one person lying on the floor. For some reason, he didn't wake up when the rest did, and as such missed the expository banter of the woman on the radio.
The man lying on the floor slowly opened his eyes. Suddenly, his eyes shot wide open, followed by him getting up and looking around him, obviously freaked out. "Who, when, what?" What happened?! Where am I? WHO am I?!. He shuffled backwards to a wall, trying to figure out where the hell he was. Of course, he didn't get anywhere with that, seeing as he lost his memories and all. Okay, calm down. Calm down... First things first, you need to find out who you are and where you are. Let's start at that... The man looked around to see if there was anyone around who could answer those questions.

Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=DA boy? It's the boy from the speakeasy... Oh god, he's covered in blood! What's Blue saying, I didn't hear... He's running? I guess I should follow... Ahh! That boy shot at us with... Something!
My turn.
Flip grins like a maniac. "I've got this." She looks to the fleeing Maus... And starts giving chase. She dashes down the sidewalk after him, with a look of mad glee in her eyes. I feel alive..
"Get back here, Kid!"
I ship it."...My name? That's a good question.", the man replied. "One I've been asking myself too, actually." Huh. If I don't figure out my real name, then I have to figure out an alias. First things first thogh, I need some more information. "Where are we anyways, and what is this "Game" you mentioned?"
Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=DThe longer their group lingered on the sidewalk, the more stares they attracted. From the collars in their neck to Link's ragged clothing to the quarter shards.
And then Flip ran after Maus.
"Let's go," Blue said. He gestured at the entire group and followed Flip. Clothing and hotel shopping was for later.
His sprinting speed was surprisedly fast, as if he ran a lot during his life. Deja vu washed over him. Disorientated plucked out the fainted visages of memories burrowed within his mind. What did the chase remind him of? What type of person was he before?
He anchored his mind back to earth. He had to focus on the current threat: Maus' metal shards. Did he have telekinesis or something? If it wasn't for him being too dumb to live, he could have made a good ally. Yet again, even the best power would be squandered by the most reckless and selfish brat possible.
He couldn't believe he had to deal with such stuff on the first day.
Rock laughed. "Right, Of Course, you missed The Annoucement! I'll guess I'll Explain the Rules, then!"
"First Rule: The Collar on our Necks will Explode if we Break Any Rules! Second: No Guns! Third: No Prior Memories! Fourth: No Leaving the City!" Rock held up one additional finger for each rule. "Five: You Should have a Ring and a Letter! The Ring has a Name carved within It! That Ring will Give you a special Power! Six: You have to Kill the Person who has Certain other Ring! Seven: Time Limit is Thirty Days!"
He paused, considering. "Yep, I think those are all the important ones! Your Letter should Tell you what your Power is and Who you have to Kill! Also, the Young Lady who's Organized this let us keep Something from our Former Lives as well! The Rest of us have Come up with Names based on That!"
He smiled warmly. "So that's The Game in a Nutshell! Does that Answer your Questions?"

Maybe not.
Maus takes out the quarter shards and makes them fly in the general direction of their eyes before fleeing, reaching for more coins.
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!
