Is just me or there is a disproportinal amount of Visual Novels in Kickstarter? After all, this is not a very popular genre in the West and, yet, a great number of Visual Novel kickstarter exist.
Regarding Outcast: That's very interesting—Outcast is an old favourite of mine, and I'm intrigued by the idea of a return to it. Based on the video on the Kickstarter page, it looks as though this is more an HD remake than a full reboot; I'm not sure of whether to think this preferable or not.
The hint towards the possibility of an Outcast 2 (presumably dependent on this remake doing well) is somewhat exciting, albeit rather far off, yet.
My Games and Asset PacksSource
, by Fenix Fire, is a game where you play as a firefly-like creature that's trying to stop a dark world from destroying its own.
Its got this beautiful Tron-like aesthetic, and just looks cool to play, so I'm hoping it'll make it.
Probably not. I suppose that it's that the worst cases often come from it. It's like someone with an AOL email address, or who claims to have done their webcomic in Microsoft Paint.
The pitch page didn't exactly thrill me either. I suspect that they were trying to write it in-character but it came off as "Hey, this is this guy who was in a webcomic and I made a game bout him in RPG Maker, K? So, you'll give me money?"
Interestingly enough, MS Paint Adventures is not actually done in MS Paint. Well, the first few panels of Jailbreak, but the rest of it is not done with Microsoft Paint.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Has anyone mentioned this?
Its basically Megaman X as roguelike from what I understood.
Looks cool.
Also, Pann
is an awesome looking 2D Rhythm Action Platformer where you play as Apollo, a guy trying to go back home to his sick sister after getting trapped in the world of Pann. Its got a strangely beautiful art style and I'm really hoping it succeeds.
Loading Human
, a VR only game where you go into the (non-linear) memories of a guy who's trying to find some phlebotinum in space to save his dad.
Heart Forth, Alicia
looks good. It's already founded but there are atill strecth goals to be reaached.
Shiness
combines the fantasy world of an RPG with dynamic combat similar to fighting games.

SUPERHOT
, a FPS where time only moves when you move. Also has a demo that's really fun to play.
I just discovered Triggered
, a game that is described as being designed, as the crowdfunding pitch puts it, "mirror trauma and mental illness" (judging by the description and title, I imagine that the particular focus is on trauma triggers). In terms of gameplay, it's described as a 2D Metroidvania.
To summarise the storyline description:
"The main character is Jobe, a man who discovers a monster-infested dungeon labyrinth beneath his home town. Intent on protecting his home, he descends into the dungeon. In combating the creatures encountered therein, he grows stronger, and develops powers that aid him in against the monsters of the dungeon.
Powers over which he has little control; powers which lash out at his fellow villagers just as readily as at the monsters of the dungeon."
For myself, I really like the idea. I don't know how well the mechanics might convey the intended experiences of mental illness and trauma, but it seems to me to be at the least worth a shot.
At time of writing the campaign is—if my maths is correct (and depending on the relevant timezones)—about 23 days in, with about 22 days remaining, and has raised $735CAD
of the $12,000 goal—not a great start, but a start, at least. I believe that the project is under Indiegogo's "Flexible Funding" system, so even if it doesn't raise the full amount the money donated does go to the developer.

3 hours to go and there's a last-minute addition. People who up their pledge by $10 can record their own custom taunt that will be included in the game. I'm a sucker...
