Asta. As if that even needed to be said.
Asuka actually went through character development in around 24 episodes & as said is a general well-defined character & human being despite her immense neurosis.
Asta....... (checking the recent manga chapter) after chapter 168 is still Asta.

If he has gotten any character development in that frame of time then its some subtle ass barely noticeable character development.
And on that account the anime is currently on chapters 45-46 whatever. Next 3 episodes are gonna be major slogs as mentioned.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThis retrospective
I've linked to at least once before goes more in-depth, but what Beary said accounts for a lot of it. You have Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo fame with a new show, and though it's a Genre Buster like those two, the frequent tonal shifts and heavier focus on comedy probably turned off those who were expecting more. And that's to say nothing of the immense hype Space Dandy likely would've never lived up to as the "successor" to what might just be the toughest act to follow in anime history. It certainly has its strengths, but the deck was sort of stacked against Dandy from the word "Go."
At any rate, now's as good a time as any for me to call it a night, so I'll see you all in a week.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI'm going to turn in for the night as well. Have a good night, everybody. :) You stay classy.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Thoughts this week...
- Dragon Ball Super - A fun couple of episodes, and it's nice to see Gohan and Great Saiyaman back.
- My Hero Academia - Nomu cooperating with the police was weird and a little funny. Apparently he's exceptionally well behaved when there's no villains ordering him around.
- Pop Team Epic
- The Hikaru no Go parody makes me wonder what if Toonami tried getting an anime like Yu-Gi-Oh! again (it would help if said anime inexplicably turned into Dragon Ball Z). Also, Cyber-Heihachi needs to be a thing in Tekken.
- I think my favorite Bob Epic Team skits are the ones that are just crazy recreations of other skits.
- The You Tube subscription skit was legit creepy during the repeat, if only because of how Todd Haberkorn delivered the dialogue differently.
- Unrelated to the episode, I hope Season 2 of this show features a Toonami parody.
- Stardust Crusaders - I was afraid they were gonna shorten the version of the intro with Dio. So glad they went with the full version, and they even dubbed in the english voices!
What do you mean?
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Oh yeah. It would be nice to see that one again. :)
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! What does this mean for Toonami? Otter Media owns Crunchyroll, and this acquisition basically means that Toonami and Crunchyroll will be under the same roof now.
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.
Best case scenario is that shows that Crunchyroll has the master licenses to, and that Funimation distributes, have a large chance of airing on TV. So stuff like Re Zero, Mob Psycho 100, The Ancient Magus' Bride, Bungo Stray Dogs would all potentially be on the table.

Oh yeah, this almost slipped my mind. ^_^;; Which one would be worse to deal with: Asta or Asuka?
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!
